It's a small place in a strip mall that has some really great pictures of LA landmarks on the wall. It is clean and a few small tables. The service was awesome. The customer service is nice, as well.. our server really took care of our orders efficiently and was accommodating to us. I was hesitant at first to go in this strip mall restaurant, but we did and to our surprise, It was amazing all around! The person at the counter took our order we paid and It was very reasonable, and the food came out in stages, which was fabulous. we got chips and salsa and I got french fries cause they looked really good. Someone else had them and then my husband got Carnitas tacos I got chile Releno and everything was on point tasty delicious hot and we didn't even finish at all. It was great portions. This place before the pandemic used to be the bomb. Now they charge you for everything extra like salsa is .50 cents more. Sometimes they don't even include the salsa. Their customer service is bad especially when you ask for extra salsa than just 2 after you just spend over $20 on food. Dear readers and reviewers, if you're looking for great food, good price and great customer service, don't come here. It's sad because I live right across the street from here and going here would be at least once a week for me. Now I just go further down to Don Ruben's or Taco San Pedro for my Mexican food. This spot is consistent with their food freshness, portions and flavors. We recently picked up delicious tacos de cabeza (cow head) and a cabeza sope (open face thick tortilla with toppings). I appreciate how much meat they pack on their tacos and sopes. And I really appreciate their reasonable prices. Their meats never have excess fat. I crave their refried beans from time to time because they really are delicious. Beans are a Mexican staple. If a Mexican restaurant doesn't get their beans right, this speaks for the rest of their food. Their fresh salsas are delicious too. I would consider a higher rating if this restaurant didn't inconvenience us with their lack of menu displays. For years, this restaurant looks unfinished. It's not like it's a big place. It's actually very small. They keep moving their menu displays around as if they intend to start on a project. Like painting a wall. But, then they don't finish with the project. Other times, they tape part of their menu on the cash register counter. Other times, they don't display their specials. Gosh, I'm so glad I did because this place is the best Mexican food I've had since moving to the area. I had the Camerones al Mojo de Ajos and it's super delicious!
