Sat at the bar rather than try and wait around for a table (no one acknowledged us or gave us menus) dripped on with condensation from above piping, we'll move since the people next to us at the bar wouldn't move up! Grabbed seating in front of the vats and still waited. Asked the guy in front of the bus station who was looking like a manager could we get some menus - he was clueless. Another 5 minutes went by before lovely waitress who's name begins with an M but can't remember, came over - extremely apologetic, told us the guy we talked to it was his first day - oh brother, but makes sense!! Beer solid as usual, food they were out of all the sliders so we ordered the veggie nachos - sorriest looking plate of food ever, saltiest chips I've ever eaten, a sprinkling of corn, black beans and tomatoes, a teaspoon of cheese sauce on 2-3 chips but the biggest glob of sour cream! The worst ever!!! We laughed it off and said first week relaunch issues we'll try again in a couple of months!! Wishing them well but maybe they should have done a soft launch first to iron out all the issues!!

To start, we shared the crispy brussel sprouts Charleston style. These were delicious with the tangy sauce and large flakes of parmesan cheese. For my main, I had the brunch wrap. It comes with chips, but I swapped for fries for an additional charge. The wrap was a good size; I had half and saved the rest for leftovers. It was tasty, but not a ton of flavor. The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Just as their tagline goes, this is undoubtedly a great place to get burgers, beer and grub. It's a…read moresomewhat small place with a great array of options, especially for lunch and brunch. Aesthetically, each table feels like a meal at a family dinner table; it's clear that they wanted that vibe to be translated, and it's done quite well. This is also supported by the service being very friendly and helpful in general. To eat, I had the French toast burger with sweet potato fries. Some others with me had various sides like regular fries and tater tots, and the same thing was present on them that tends not to be at most places: they were all perfectly salted/seasoned. It might seem immaterial, but it's a very good signal when something that simple--yet often neglected in favor of just using condiments to mask it--is executed well. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. All in all, here's a place that I can't wait to give another visit.

The menu has some classics as well as twists on standard brunch dishes. I loved my avocado toast, which had some unusual texture that made it very memorable. I was surprised it wasn't too busy for brunch. Don't let the secret out!

I am a little torn on what rating to give Jill's and wish I could give 3.5 because while I think a…read more3 is a little low, I don't think a 4 is the right rating. I also want to preface this by saying that I think this place is a solid choice and it is not a bad place to grab a bite or a drink. I have been a couple of times now. While I would go back again, I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. The ambience is good. It's a nice space and it does have space for both larger and smaller groups. The wait staff is also very nice and I have zero issue with them. The food is good enough, although not spectacular. They are definitely going for a high end bar/brunch/dinner spot. A step up from a local pub, a little bit more of a shine/elegance to them. The vibe is actually great for a larger group. The most recent time we went, our table got steak nachos, a burger, the sweet potato and rice bowl (with shrimp added), and a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was reportedly really good (I didn't try it) and looked nice. The nachos were fine, not great. Didn't feel like there was enough cheese, but the steak on it was actually really nice. The rice bowl was really not exciting. There was nothing elevated or nuanced about it. The shrimp was the best part and was beautifully cooked and seasoned, but that was an add on and I would have been disappointed with it if not for the addition of the shrimp (which then made the bowl over $25). We ordered the burger medium rare, and it came very well done. To be fair, when we mentioned it to the server, she took it off of the bill, which we appreciated. Overall, I would say the food is hit or miss. Most of our proteins were cooked very nicely and with good flavor, but the other parts of the meal were just fine, not great. The price point is such that I expect a little more for what I am paying. That being said, the staff is nice and the ambience is good, so for a quick and easy meal, it's worth it if you are in the area.
