It's really more like 3 1/2. Hear rave reviews about this place when they had a store north of Houston and had been hearing good things about them here in BCS. Finally went tonight for dinner. The service is incredible I cannot say that enough. The girl at the counter, yes its counter service, let me try all the meats and walked me through what they offered. Although I was still kind of overwhelmed by all the options. I went for the three taco plate because it allowed me to try the most meats on one plate. The pastor and spicy chicken carnitas were awesome I must say. I was put off by the fact that the onions I had put in my taco were huge slices rather than diced. The tacos are also kind of small but I guess that's why you get three of them. I went for the re fried beans which were good as was the white rice. There was something missing overall though hard to put my finger on it. Overall the flavors were good just an unnecessarily complicated ordering process. I saw a guy get a quesadilla after me and it looked really good so maybe I should try that. read more

I ordered the taco plate and it came with two tacos and rice and beans. I came here with boyfriend earlier today and as soon as we walked into the restaurant, the staff greeted us and were very helpful with the menu. The man that was working gave us samples of every meat they had. He was extremely friendly and nice! He was always kind enough to give me a side of the fideo for free. I ordered brisket, pork, and chicharrón verde. The brisket was definitely the best and I highly recommend it. All the meat was really good, including the chicharrón. The tacos al pastor were a little salty. The fideo was really good too, along with the charro beans that had bacon. All in all, I definitely recommend this place. I don't know what took us so long to try this place, but it was great! You order food Chipotle style, but the food is much more authentic and they have a big variety of seasoned meats to try. I've came and tried them a few more times and I'm happy to report that their salsas are better than the first time I tried them. Their habanero salsa is actually spicy and tasty now. I recently came in for the lunch special which is your choice of 3 tacos with rice and beans and a drink for about $8. The food was fresh and delicious. It's nice to see a restaurant still be of quality after being open a while. We chose Taco Crave for our Valentines meal and it was delicious as always. This place is SO GOOD. So. Good. You go up to the counter to order, where they have the menu on a big chalkboard, but everything is customizable! Went there the other night after the circus over at the expo center. Price for the tacos is way too much for the party size corn tortillas. If this was real Mexican food tacos they would have double the corn tortillas and not make a taco with a single corn tortilla. The fajitas were way too salty. The quesadillas had onions on them and they didn't give you the option or let you know they were putting onions. Granted they just opened but the service was very slow. You have to place your order and stand there until they fill it. The whole process holds up the line. The line was all the way down the order counter and backup to the door. Moved slow. Need to do something better to move the line faster. May give them another try after a few more weeks to see if they fix some of their issues. But price per taco is too high though for the size. read more

I got a steak fajita quesadilla and my husband got a quesadilla with crave meat. Both were very good. The main disappointment was they didn't have any bread for Torta, which is what my husband really wanted. The meat had good flavor, and it's a filling size quesadilla. I enjoyed their tomatillo salsa and my husband liked the habinero. Everyone was nice so they really get a 5 star for service. I'm giving them a 4 because they didn't have Torta bread, and because of our higher standard for flavor, although I've yet to find a place in this area as good as any in Arizona. It's got good flavor, not your typical taco's! You add your own toppings after they freshly grill the tortilla and put the meat and cheese on it. Some things they don't have that I thought was a little different: avocado/guacamole, lettuce, and quest/melted cheese (they only do shredded) which is not necessarily bad seeing as shredded is fresher. Located where the old, Zarapes restaurant used to be in downtown Bryan. Authentic Mexican street tacos is the claim. I've had worse but, I've had better. The staff was super nice. But, the tortillas are definitely not homemade which was a huge disappointment. They do allow you to sample the food before you make a decision. They have three types of shredded chicken, regular, chipotle sauce, which is basically a smokey but more runny and less rich version of fettuccine sauce. There is another version with spinach that was also tastey but the chicken in this one is not shredded. It's in tiny cubes. I opted for plain as I felt the other two belonged on rice or pasta and not in a burrito. The regular was just that, plain and regular. The rice ruined what I would have considered a good burrito. Think, white Minute Rice with no salt or seasoning whatsoever. Thankfully the red and verde salsa is quite flavorful enough to disguise the taste of biting into a mouthful of plain rice and there is no heat which is great for those heat intolerant people but uneventful for those of us who prefer a little zip to our Mexican condiments. They are stingy with the beans and cheese. The chips are home fried but ours were a bit stale and I suspect left overs from the day before as is typical for most Mexican restaurants. The queso has a unique flavor; a nice change from the standard that most restaurants use even if it was too watered down. The whole place was extremely clean and neatly in order. Portion size in generous and soda refills are unlimited. Don't let the heavy, hard to open door make you think they are closed though. We were getting in the car when an employee came out to tell us they were open. If you're looking for plain, not too spicy but edible food you will enjoy. They also serve Fideo and Flan which Isn't seen much in local Tex mex places. read more
