This is not a TEX MEX restaurant -- so please don't come here thinking it is. This tacos are actually taste very authentic. My favorite style of tacos is from Monterey MX but these would definitely do the job. Disappointments- Tacos are super greasy and definitely need more salt. No salt and pepper at tables. The pastor was slightly too sweet for me but would definitely come back. No soda machine or Tea -- only glass sodas and lemonade. Pros: Tortillas are delicious and they'd taste so good on breakfast so i can't wait to come try them! Salsas are great and have lots of flavor. Their Cokes are all imported from Mexico which is amazing because it's hard to find REAL Mexican coke. Just because it's in a glass bottle doesn't mean it's authentic! This place has it just right! How does Taco Bell survive in a city where this place exists? My only complaint is I didn't taste any mango in the sunfield taco. But it was still delicious as was the grilled shrimp, though I replaced the tartar sauce with guacamole. I also got a side of chips and guacamole, which was incredibly fresh and 4x the amount you get at Taco Bell. The service was pleasant and quick. Love this place! It reminds me very much of the old skool awesome Taco Cabanas of the 1990s. Casual, very clean, with good, fresh food at a great price. Friendly efficient service. I had the flauta plate... the pico de gallo and guacamole honestly tasted freshly-made, and the rice& beans were very tasty too. Three small chicken flautas were fried to perfection. First time trying this place found it hidden behind Starbucks got some breakfast tacos the Buddha and the other specialty one on the menu. I cannot remember but yes, extremely delicious not small tacos which I love ingredients were fresh tortilla was fresh. Will definitely be back between two and 450 a taco loaded. read more

We discovered Taco Clem in June 2024 when we moved to the area. I walked in and ordered several tacos from the owner. We chatted briefly about the food and restaurant just hitting a year opened. Since that first visit we've stopped by various times and tried most of the menu...the food is always fresh and delicious and the service is top notch. Pleasantly surprised. The tacos are a nicer size than most places, which helps since the price point is higher. These days, most places have higher costs. $4.50 for most of the tacos, $5 for the meaty tacos. I would add cheese to most, chorizo and egg is lacking flavor and is a bit watery, possibly the eggs they use- I forgot to ask for cheese. They seem to use more egg than chorizo. Flour tortillas are good, made in house. From what I can tell, Barbacoa-cheek meat- made the correct way, minimal grease and needs salt. However it comes WITH cilantro and onions and is not extra. The carne guisada was a shocker, one of the best in Buda if you're eating out. The Al Pastor on corn was really lovely, the meat wasn't dry and that is a win! Nice flavor. The green salsa is SPICY so be prepared, I loved it. Servers are friendly and prompt, they were very grateful we came through today. We did the drive thru so no idea what the inside is like. First off let me tell you about their customer service. Phenomenal!!!!! Management are great and gracious! My husband and I placed our order. He ordered Al pastor taco and beef fajita taco I ordered the buda. Told them I used to love birria tacos but the last time I had it (some where else) I lost all love for it so I passed on ordering it. While we were waiting on the order we had a great conversation with management. They brought us our order to go and he told me hey I put you one birria In The bag to try it. Omg! How awesome. I enjoy the tacos here and loved the softness of their homemade tortillas. My favorite is the potato, egg and cheese. However, I would say that you could soften your potatoes a bit more. My boyfriend didn't think they were cooked, but I disagree, and obviously, because I cook potatoes all the time, but again, a recommendation for your restaurant is to soften them a bit more. I've only gone through the drive thru for breakfast, so not sure what the dining room and lunch/dinner menu are like, but the breakfast tacos were good (besides my burnt bacon)!! I finally found a place with good Mexican tacos in Buda/South Austin area. I usually have to drive to San Antonio for authentic Mexican tacos. The birria tacos with the roasted jalapeños and onions and soup were my favorite. It was rich in flavor. I craved for more birria tacos. I tried the Barbacoa, carne asada and breakfast tacos. The tortillas tasted homemade. The service was quick. The people are friendly and professional. I can't wait to go back and try the other tacos. read more

Since moving to the area, we have been obsessed with Taco Clem. The tacos are consistently delicious, and we haven't had anything we didn't like yet. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the drive-thru is extremely convenient. If I had a criticism, it would be that the food is a little pricey. Please swap the aluminum container for paper or plastic and upgrade utensils. The ones you provide to dine in are considered for dessert and very uncomfortable to eat with a low quality utensil. If you are charging what you are for a steak or chicken bowl at least make it the same size and same add ons as chipotle's because we can get bigger with extra add ons for the same price that you sell your bowls for and last but not least please be aware aluminum containers are not only toxic but they don't keep food warm long enough, before we are done food is cold already. My family and I have ordered from this location at least 5 times in the last month and a half. Their breakfast tacos, bean and cheese burrito, and carne asada burritos are really good. Flautas, too. Those are typically what we get. We've never had any mistakes with our orders and service has always been great and attentive. Inside is clean and welcoming. The drive thru line and small parking lot can get a little tricky during peak times, but everyone has been courteous with the traffic when I've visited. Keep up the great work! read more

Taco Clem is nothing at all like Jalisco, which is great! They are both owned by the people that own Jalisco. Taco Clem has more flavor and is just better over all.
