This is my first time eating here although i've been in once before and driven by a million times. The place is pretty unassuming as it occupies what used to be a KFC and has a garish yellow and orange sign. My first time in I left as nothing really looked good (the food pictures look dated and unappealing) After noticing a constant line in the drive thru I decided I just needed to grow a pair and order something. Hallelujah! My Chilada and hard taco were both pretty awesome. I would comepare this place to a mom and pop/better version of taco bell. What this place really needs is a good food pornographer. Get some nice shots of the ample cheese and maybe a sour cream money shot and the masses will flock to you in droves:) read more

Really good tacos! Fast food that Is affordable, service was friendly and good. The portions are large especially for the price. I ordered a soft taco and a regular taco. My only suggestion would be to offer mild sauce. I ordered mild sauce but it was more like an enchilada sauce. That's the only thing that Taco Bell has on this place. But given the choice between Taco Bell and here, I would choose Taco Casa. I wish they were located in Missouri. read more

Me and my husband have eaten at Taco Casa before and we love the food. We were disappointed today however in the staff and atmosphere. The staff member who took our order was basically tapping her fingers while we were trying to decide. We felt rushed and no one was behind us. After we ordered a family walked up behind us. My husband paid and waited for our drinks. The staff member just stared at him and rudely said there are other people she needed to take orders from. My husband then told her he was waiting for our drinks. She made an irritated gesture out of getting them. I then went to use the restroom which was absolutely disgusting. The toilet looked like it had not been cleaned in months and the whole floor looked filthy. Once we got our food and sat down to eat we realized it was stifling hot in the lobby. I get that it's summer in Texas but it was almost unbearable! I'm sure we'll return because the food was, as usual, on point, but this location needs to do some cleaning in house. I will never eat here again. They stole money from me. My wife stopped there on March 20th and ordered 6 beans burritos and 6 tacos and a couple other things. Came home and kids were hungry and we saw that they forgot to give us our burritos. No big deal. We'll call and get them to refund it. Man that answers the phone said no problem asked for information on receipt. He said money will be put back in our account in week or so. Today April 7th, we call and see what the status is. The GM I believe, states she can't do anything on something that's 2 months old. Really? Two months? Do the math. She could careless that she stole from us. That's illegal. Finally made it to Taco Casa and thought it was DELICIOUS! And really cheap. The sweet tea was too sweet for me, but the Taco Lite was really good as was the mild bean burrito w/ onions. It seems like a shady kind of place, and I'm not sure if I'd want to go inside. But the drive-through is a favorite now. :) Oh, and the kid who took my order was quite funny. read more

Ultimately this feedback will make a difference in your business. Your food at your Rockwall Texas store is wonderful... Sometimes in delivery it doesn't look very good when you open the bag but this is not my issue. In no situation titled as fast food should you have to wait 45 minutes in line to order and get food when the line is not even nearly wrapped around the building. My husband has come home furious and a number of occasions and has decided he will not go back to the store. I was just there today there were two people in line to order before me and it didn't look from the outside like the store was very busy. There were people there, but I would say 1/3 of the store was full. I ordered four soft tacos and two Chilada's... I sat down to wait because I figured it would take a while it always does. When the man who is in line behind me got his food and left before me, it caught my attention. At that time I waited a few minutes and kind of looked around and try to get the lay of the land, and decided to approach the counter and ask what happened. One employee answered me and I just couldn't understand her, but I do think she was trying to be nice. I was frustrated and when I said I didn't understand her the manager a tall black woman, interjected. Her message to me was that I needed to be patient this tripped my trigger, we honestly wait 45 minutes for food there more often than not. She continue to engage me out loud in front of the entire restaurant and staff. I can hold my own and I let her know I would report her to corporate. Her staff said nothing when I asked her name and she declined to give it to me, but she did call herself the manager. I fully intend to post reviews on Yelp and other local sites. I wish I didn't care, because we really like the food, but if I choose to spend my money with you I expect to be treated well. This establishment is sorely lacking. read more

Yuck. Cheap meat fest with lard flavored beans. The restaurant was full of very big folks - considering there isn't a veg choice to be had and everything on the menu has nasty meat covered with melted cheap cheese - it makes sense. Try Koung Thai right behind it in the same complex for something much more tasty and much less dangerous to your heart. read more

Taste like Taco Bell, just slightly better. I ordered a spicy bean burrito and it did not bring on the heat. I also had the cheese nachos which is your basic chips with canned cheese smeared on top. Good for a quick bite, but nothing special. read more

Best junk food in this area!! They put tons of cheese on everything and everyone knows that's the difference :) also, they have the best sweet tea in America! It's like yummy sweet diabetic tea :) Service is always prompt and friendly- like the staff is happy to be there and always interacting fun and friendly with each other as well. Their kitchen is fully open to view so you can SEE them cooking the meat and frying the shells and you KNOW it's clean. Now where else can you say that about? And the owner is a GREAT guy! I've personally seen him buy a house and watch him remodel it for his employees in need!!! And he has a couple of special employees that brighten up the place even more. Ohhh yaaaa, and they feed ems, fire, and police for free! No where else goes that far above feeding hungry people! read more

Gross! I am NOT a fan of this place, but for whatever reason everyone in my family is. Majority rules in our home, so they get taco casa a lot, and I make myself a pb&j instead. On multiple trips I've tried tacos, burritos, and nachos and I finally gave up. I can not stand the fake cheese sauce and the meat is flavorless. I don't care about black olives and their hot sauce is just awful. I'd take taco cabana, or even taco bueno or over this ANY day! read more

Good, cheap food. Better than what you'd expect from typical fast food chains. However, they are ALWAYS busy! I've never found a time that the drive thru is not packed. Expect to sit in the drive thru 20 minutes every time. Tried going inside a few times and it was just as busy and chaotic. Maybe being busy all the time is a good sign! read more

Best fast food Mexican around. Large serving size and tons of cheese. Meat is loaded with flavor. No chicken dishes only beef and beans served here. My son eats here 3 times a week. read more

The first time I had Taco Casa's crunchy taco, I thought surely a crunchy taco could not be this magnificently delicious. I mean come on! It's like puppy's breath and babies eyelashes, it's like the first time I had a Pepsi after many years of Coke violating my childhood palate. It's like the first time I had a perfectly seasoned and seared med-rare steak when all I ever knew steak as was the burnt horrible tasting things that came off my grandpas grill. It was that epic! Think years of Taco Bell, Taco Bueno, even authentic Tex-Mex restaurants all convoluting my mind into thinking that crunchy tacos sucked because they all tasted like stale cardboard and old grease. I dont even remember how it came about that I ordered a crunchy taco at Taco Casa, because normally Im a soft taco kind of guy. First few times I went to Taco Casa pretty sure thats what I had, along with a super burrito and 1/2 sweet 1/2 unsweet tea. Always thought it was a pretty legit place , until I tasted the crunchy taco, then things started to get a little possessive and weird. However, I didn't become completely and utterly addicted to Taco Casa for life until I had their Taco Lite, it is hands down the best effing taco I have ever had. Picture if you will a fluffy, crisp fried flour tortilla stuffed full of real 100% percent seasoned ground beef, a pile of fancy melted, shredded cheddar cheese, real sour cream, fresh diced tomatoes, crisp shredded lettuce and a generous back and forth of Taco Casa's delicious hot sauce. I hope your still alive, because my mind just came very near to exploding just thinking about this thing. Taco Casa has changed my life for the better, its opened my eyes to sub par fast-food. I have sworn blood oathes and sacrificed bulls so that I may have the courage and will power to never step foot in a Taco Bell again, double decker with baja sauce and pepsi cola products be damned! This was a favorite drive thru spot for my husband and kiddo. I've been in Rockwall my whole life so I've been around since this building was DQ and then KFC. Taco Casa has made a good run and seems they stay busy enough to stick around for the long haul. Since I have been pregnant I have been craving tacos and taco salads. My husband ran through here and I guess he annoyed the employees by asking for an extra scoop of sour cream and no olives (by preggo wife request). They gave him attitude and when I got it home it literally, no joke, had a layer one inch thick of sour cream across it. Very funny rude Taco Casa employees! Made me think they probably spit in it too if they would go to the trouble of making it unedible like that. Due to it being a salad in a shell it was too hard to get it off of the rest of ingredients so I just chunked it. My hubby who hates to disapoint when he's making a preggo run talked to the manager or owner and they did offer us a free one next time we went in. We'll see if that happens. I read Jessica D's review and it sounds like most likely the same crew... annoyed when a customer wants something the way they want it. Isn't that their job? Management should probably make some changes before they lose too many customers in Rockwall. Too many options... and constantly new ones moving into town. Customer service is everything these days... you can get a good taco anywhere. read more

The food is great, but the drive-thru is horrible horrible horrible. I have been here five times and it is the slowest drive-through I have ever seen. I literally just sat in line for 5 to 7 minutes before one car scooted forward, and it's Sunday afternoon at 2:15 p.m. So when I had space I drove away. I'm not going to sit there behind 7 other cars. I hope the management reads this because their drive-thru speed is horrible. Even when there's only two or three cars there, it takes forever compared to most other fast food establishments. This is not acceptable and you are losing business because of this. read more

I just went through the drive through at this location, and I have to say I am COMPLETELY disgusted by the lack of customer service your employees showed. First of all, I came through & order two separate orders. The girl who took my order repeated everything back to me just right.(The first order was Bean Burrito Mild with Sour cream, Two soft tacos add sour cream, a Crunchy taco & Two Large sweet teas. The second order was, A bean burrito with sour cream, and a Crunch taco, Two soft tacos & 2 sweet teas) When I managed to get to the window, the man at the window (who had no name tag) seemed very confused when I explained I had two orders. So then he figured out that I had two orders & proceeded to hand me two teas... I explained there should have been a total of 4 teas. (Keep in mind it is pouring rain so everytime I have to roll my window down i'm slammed with a face full of water). So he then speaks to a girl (who again had no name tag on), and then comes back & says well you'll have to pay for the two extra teas, which I don't have a problem with but my point is this, 1. Don't get an attitude with me when I am the paying customer, and 2. You messed up my order when somehow the correctly repeated it when I was at the drive through speaker. It is VERY fustrating I had to run two transactions on my debit card over two teas... I feel the right thing since once again they clearly repeated the order back to me correctly, would have been to just give me the teas. I work in Customer Service myself for a local plumbing company in Rockwall. I was ABSOLUTELY mortified at the lack of customer service, and how the man at the window was talking to me like I was stupid. So moving on... I then ask to know what is in each bag to make sure they got my food correct since I was picking up lunch for the office. He then again made me feel as if I was a Nuisance to him, but I was already out in this rain, and I didn't want to have to come back here as I was getting food for the whole office. So they ended up charging us for an extra crunchy taco, not a big deal as someone around the office will eat it, and the burritos that I paid for Sour Cream on, have no Sour Cream, But I still at this point have yet to figure out how it was repeated back to me correctly, and it's so messed up, and why I was being treated as if I was the problem when I am the customer. I am still dumbfounded by how this is okay for a customer to be treated this way. I'm not sure if I will ever hear back from a Manager or the Owner, but I hope someone sees this, and the re-evaluate the customer service that your employees are representing for your company. I would hope that someone will contact me in regards to this matter, and make it right. If this kind of customer service would have taken place at my place of business someone would have probably lost their job. I have always loved this Taco Casa, and I have never had this kind of experience before. As an owner, or general manager I would want to know if something like this happened, so the ball is in your court from here, as to what to do. I sincerely hope that this matter is address, so I can continue to be a customer of Taco Casa in Rockwall in the future, there is a Taco Casa a few exits up the highway, and for good customer service I would be willing to make that drive. read more

For the basic taco, bean burrito, and especially tostada, Taco Casa is 100% better than Taco Bell. They have taco Tuesdays where the sell their tacos at a discount. If you like green/spicy sauce, they have that as well. They have only one type of taco sauce...that's all they need because that too is better than anything Taco Bell has to offer. For speciality items, Taco Bell does have a better and sometimes cheaper selection. However I'm more for the basics...and I love that cheese! Only downfall, they charged $.40 for a water...nothing is free anymore. Prices have been slowly creeping up, the hard shell taco is up to $1.29, soft taco is more. Best time to hit the place is Taco Tuesdays, the hard shell price falls to $.89. read more

I love their tacos. Lots of meat and cheese. Their hot sauce has a good kick to it. Their prices are a little high but compared to the tacos at other fast food joints like the bell, they are well worth the extra money. Taco Tuesday used to be a real good deal before their prices got so high compared to when they first opened up this location. Drive through is nuts on Tuesday. I ate at Taco Casa/ Rockwall pretty regularly a year ago, but stopped when I discovered those food preparers did NOT WEAR GLOVES when preparing our food. i'm not sure how they are every other day, but sunday me and my fiancé were pretty freaking disgusted. first of all they don't wear gloves, ok that's fine its their hands are clean!!!! i literally sat there and watched with my own eyes some guy touching everyones food, putting it together and wrapping it after he cleaned a tray with his bare hands. i'm sorry that's just f*cking gross!!!!!!!!!! you touch someone's food, touch a rag, pick up a dirty tray with your bare hands, wipe it down, continue touching peoples food with your bare hands?!!!!!!! what. i seriously couldn't even eat my food. also there were no clean tables in the dinning area. never coming back read more
