I cannot believe this place has lasted in Gainesville! Arby's, closed. Wendy's closed. Santorini closed Taco NO bueno..thank goodness closed. What's wrong with Gainesville people! This place is only good if you need a colon flush and need sodium in your diet! The enchilada is the grossest thing I attempted to eat...not even my dogs wanted it. Amazingly clean and colorful inside - and nice bathrooms which are much appreciated for a roadside stop. Not sure if they're a chain or not - but they have an amazing assortment of branded containers which make for a vote of confidence. Branded straws, branded reusable plastic cups - all oddly amusing. Plus the funky plastic cutlery that tries to look like real silverware. We may or may not have left with a handful of those, as well as the nifty orange Taco Casa straws. Oh, and then there's the food. The taco was piping hot, crispy shell, ingredients inside that all tasted fresh and "real." Great shredded lettuce and nicely seasoned ground beef. Really good fast-food Tex-Mex. A little similar to Taco Bueno. The food is really good and there are many options. Personally I like their bean burritos with signature chili-sauce. They also serve soft or crunchy tacos, as well as super tacos and super burritos, which come with extra stuff like olives and tomatoes. Food is cooked to be warm to the touch, like it should be. Restaurant building is a little dated, this is actually it's 3rd restaurant. Drive-through is typically fast especially when they have enough staff to run the 2nd lane, but it can certainly get bogged down. I'd highly recommend giving a try, but if this isn't how you roll, there's a taco-bell across the street with a refurbished interior. read more

The food is good but way overpriced. A drive thru meal for 2(with drink)can easily cost between $15 and $25. Unless you're craving "fast" Mexican food and really weak soft drinks, it's really not worth it.
