This is a brand new GIANT Chicken Express. There used to be a smaller one next door, it was very old & outdated but it always had a line of cars wrapped around the block. So they built a brand new one on the same lot right next to the old one. This one is much bigger and can handle all the traffic. I'm not big on the fried chicken but I do like the fried catfish & tiny hush puppies. The cole slaw is also very nice. I prefer Sam's seafood for Catfish, hush puppies & coleslaw, however, Chicken express catfish hush puppies & cole slaw are just as good, they just don't serve fried shrimp like Sam's does. Love the new dining area it's a very clean industrial style, my fave. Better than most fast food places & the service is always pleasant. recommend. read more

It was good as it has been in the past. I'll go there again. They gave us more than ordered. Friendly staff.

Lesson learned. Avoid this location and drive a few more minutes to the Sanger location. Whoever packed our catering order put the gravy on the bottom of the bag. When we get home and pull the brown bag out it is completely drenched in gravy, because the heavy mashed potatoes fell into the gravy cups. If it was in the bag, it was covered in gravy. I called and gave them a chance to correct it, and they were not helpful at all. read more

We got the best food and service we have ever had tonight. Sarah made sure to let us know that my husbands chicken thighs would be delayed a bit. And apologized for the inconvenience. We had a lovely meal and it was so nice inside with no music or TV blaring. I had just come off a 12 hour shift and it was a welcome peace. Sarah maybe the manager I don't know she certainly has what it takes to be one! I told her she was wonderful and I meant it. She even checked to make sure we were doing okay and everything tasted good! And it was very good, nice and hot. read more

I started my order at chicken express drive through with the lady yelling at me telling me she can't hear what i'm saying and that my vehicle is too loud. I then proceeded to turn off my car and asked her to repeat the order back to me which was completely wrong. She would sigh after every item I wanted to add/change. When I got up to the window the sweet old lady who handed me my food was awesome and friendly. But I caught a glimpse of the person who took my order doing their job poorly and throwing things around. It was a redhead woman. read more

If you haven't tried Chicken Express you need to! The take home chicken (or fish) with white gravy will be a family favorite - especially for kids and teenagers. The Gainesville location has fast friendly service and in just a few minutes you will have dinner in a bag. The side items are great too. I especially love the cole slaw. And there is something special about the iced tea, it is just right! I usually buy a big glass and a gallon to take home. I've never got heartburn from chicken tenders before but I got here. The tenders are extremely salty and greasy. The mashed potatoes were at about the perfect temperature to harbor some food Bourne bacteria but the white gravy was nice and hot-overly salty, but hot. And to top it all off, there was a nice little puddle of grease under my tenders. Not at all impressed. read more

The food is usually served quickly. Most of the time it is hot or at least warm. The staff is fairly young, but they are supervised by 1-3 adults. I've never heard any foul language. Interior is decorated with crosses and a scripture plaque. They offer a senior discount. They could stand to run a broom on the dining floor a bit more often. read more

We have ordered chicken tenders with the trimmings for reunions and parties at least 6 times in recent years. Always great food. Work closely with the employees on pick up time so food is freshly cooked!!! On a personal note, my family loves this place. Just need to check your order at drive through. Yes please! Excellent staff and food with very little time spent sitting in the drive-thru. The best sweet tea in town comes from this place! The guys and gals who bring out your food are just like Sonic's carhops, except they take and assemble your order as well as bring it out to your car, so they definitely earn their tips. read more

Went to get get dinner tonite for my granddaughter and mother. When I got home 2 items I had ordered were not in the bag. I called the restaurant and the person I spoke with put me on hold, came back on the phone and told me that the items were put in a bag. I advised her again I didn't have them. She told me she watched the camera footage and they were put in a bag. Well they weren't in my bag....she basically called me a liar!!!! Never will go there again! I went there on Friday morning in the DRIVE THRU to get my lunch at 10:45 am after I brought my ice cream and milk that the local grocery store. I order my two fish fillet dinner with mini poppers and fried pickles with tartar sauce. The person in front of me in the drive thru was a older lady. When that person waited at the window to get her meal it took over five minutes, noticing during that time my meal is setting on the table. After the person in the vehicle in front of me finally got her box, the manager a older guy in a black shirt started to chat and laughing with the customer thru the window while I was behind waiting the that vehicle to move. THAT MANAGER KEPT TALKING AND LAUGHING FOR MINUTES till other employee brought out my meal. After I paid for my meal, I could not get out of the drive thru cause of the customer in front of me and a customer behind me. I kept waiting another minute till the person behind got there meal. I had to back up and leave. JUST BAD, THAT MANAGER DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE OTHER CUSTOMERS BEHIND THAT PERSON HE WAS CHATTING WITH. HE DIDN'T CARE. After I got home, my ice cream was already melting in my grocery bag, and the meal from that place put soggy French Fries with my meal instead of Fried Pickles, and got no tarter sauce.
