I just so happened to have debated ordering that but decided against it because I wasn't sure I would like it. Then when I picked up my order, almost intuitively the man gave me a sample! I am so thankful to have diversity in our local food offerings and I have become addicted to Indian food, so much so I'm attempting to cook Indian dishes at home! Thank you One Stop Fam!!! The spice is not too much for me and it's not over powering. I believe they can accommodate your spice level bc I do like my Indian food spicy. They do have a lunch menu but I personally just love the take out. The location does have a seating area and has a buffet section on the side; it's well kept and not too overwhelming. But I was headed home and wanted to grab something en route for the family to eat. I glanced and saw a high rating and figured I can't go wrong with Indian food. Anyplace I've eaten had alway been good! So, I ordered Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and Goat Curry through Yelp app. I was 5 minutes away and food was ready for pickup when I arrived, which pleased me but also made me wonder if it wasn't fresh. Nevertheless I arrived home and the food was packaged well and that was the end of the good experience. Surprisingly the food was rather terrible. And I have NEVER had bad Indian food. The Biryani was bland and hot for hot sake, like spicy and flavorless. The Nan was thick and rubbery. The tandoori was dry and nasty, like having a sour taste to it. My husband had the goat and said the sauce wasn't good. Overall I don't recommend this place. Seriously I hate I wasted $50+ with them and I honestly wish I could get my money back. Two thumbs way down. Save yourself and your money! Eat someplace else.

A first rate Indian restaurant…read more They call themselves Nepali. And the entrepreneurs may easily be Nepali. In the US, calling yourself a Nepali restaurant means taking a standard North Indian menu and adding momo and some Chinese dishes. In Nepal, they eat a lot more than momo. Mountainous regions in poor countries often use forms of protein that Americans don't particularly care for. (Fill in the blanks yourself on this one.) Doing that in the U.S. would be commercial suicide. At one time, Mount Everest had goat intestine on the menu. Goat intestine is relatively un-shocking given other items that Nepalis hunt or butcher and eat. The goat intestines did not sell well and had to be removed from the menu. So mostly what you get here is a plain old North Indian restaurant. Fortunately, Mount Everest is a very good plain old North Indian restaurant. * * * The headline story here is spice. A. Lots of it. B. Not your standard Anglo-Indian curry house spice mixes. I ordered my eggplant with a heat of 4. A heat of 5 is their !!NUCLEAR!! option. 4 is their "Commands Respect- Listen to Me Baby" level. Mount Everest's 4 is most other Indians restaurants 38. Steam came out of ears. Steam came out of eyes. I was amazed my metal container was able to hold that dish. I set a Grayson County speed record for most Naan consumed in the shortest amount of time ... As vast amounts of naan were stuffed into my flaming mouth to lower the temperature. * * * I LOVED IT. I WOULD DO THAT AGAIN IN A NEW YORK MINUTE. * * * If molten lava isn't your thing Ordering your food with a heat of 0 or 1 Will give you a nice lovely very mild dish. Mount Everest caters to all tastes. * * * The spicing here is unusual. This particularly shows up in the salty lassis. I couldn't tell you what the flavor combo was. But it was intriguing and wonderful. That is another dish I would order in a New York minute. * * * Speaking of non-New-York topics, Mount Everest does its best to fit into a Texas-Oklahoma aesthetic. There is a pool table. For all I know, Texoma is full of Indian restaurants with pool tables. But that was the first time, I had ever seen such a thing. They have country-western style decoration, and guitars on the walls to help set a mood. They serve cold beer. I am not used to Texas Ice Houses that also serve Tikka Masala and Aloo Chana. But this is a concept I could definitely learn to like. * * * Overall, this is a first rate establishment. And if you want enough inner fire to be able to climb the Himalayas without wearing a parka, Order any dish with a heat of 5. The snow will melt on either side of you as you pass.

My wife and I have been searching high and low for a great Indian restaurant in DFW, and until now,…read morewe had not found a place that felt like our "home" spot the way we had back in Virginia. We decided to give Delhi6 a try for our anniversary after hearing so many good things, and I'm glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the experience started off right. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was upscale without feeling overly formal, and we were immediately greeted by the host outside. They looked up our reservation and got us seated quickly. We started with the tandoori wings at a 3/4 spice level and the samosas. Both were very flavorful. The wings had a nice char and plenty of seasoning without just being "hot for the sake of being hot." Next time I'm definitely going 4/4 because I like some serious spice. The samosas were crispy, well seasoned, and went perfectly with the chutneys. For drinks, my wife had the lychee martini and I had a Don Julio margarita. Both were really good and fit the anniversary dinner vibe perfectly. One of the biggest highlights of the night was speaking with Joshua, one of the managers. I asked him whether they could make something similar to a traditional mixed grill since it is no longer on the menu. I'm used to mixed grills with different combinations of chicken, lamb, shrimp, boti, fish tikka, etc. Instead of simply telling me it wasn't available, Joshua went out of his way to see what they could put together for us. That type of service makes a difference. He also recommended that we try their butter sauce and explained that it was made by a chef who received specialized training in India's capital. I'm glad we listened because the sauce was rich, smooth, flavorful, and easily one of the standouts of the meal. You could tell there was more depth to it than the overly sweet butter sauces you sometimes get at other places. Between the food, drinks, presentation, atmosphere, and especially the service, Delhi6 delivered the kind of experience we had been looking for. Joshua and the staff made our anniversary dinner feel special rather than just another dinner reservation. After searching all over DFW for an Indian restaurant we could consistently come back to, Delhi6 may have finally ended our search.

Stopped here on a whim looking for a place to eat and trying to avoid fast food. As others have noted, it's a big open space. Decor was very minimal and it seemed like some parts were in the middle of some amount of renovation. Bathrooms could've used a little help but nothing crazy. We had chicken dum biryani, paneer masala, garlic naan and a mango lassi. Prices are a little high but not crazy for 2025. Portions were very large, in particular the biryani which was exceedingly generous. The paneer and naan were above average, the lassi was phenomenal, and the biryani was good but less exceptional. The food came in takeout containers which might be a turn off but it was fine since we had to take half of it home anyway. Service was a little slow but it was an off hour when we were there. Overall the food was very good and worth a stop if you're driving by. Tons of veg options as well. The atmosphere and service are very basic but it didn't bother me. I'm glad we stopped and supported something local and interesting.

The portions are big which is good to save for later considering how filling it is. Cons- It's definitely on the more pricey side and I would go here more often if it was cheaper. The naan is soo expensive. They charge almost $5 for one single piece of garlic naan. My friend goes in to order, I stay in the car so he says the service isn't that great. He told me that the front desk person was on the phone on his airpods while taking the order and he barely talks, just nodding his head. The place is a bit dirty like the floors not being clean. So overall, if you are coming here for the food, I rate it high. If you are coming here for the experience, I rate it low.

For the adventurous, I am sure there is something that is worth trying, but for those who just like a nice plate of Indian food, this also did fine Like any other place, you can scale up or scale down the heat, and I asked for medium level, which was fine.... And then some spices on the side in case I wanted to rev it up on any particular bite. I'd say the food comes out within 10 minutes or so and I felt was good.
