It was not on my bingo card for one of the newest businesses in town to be a fast casual restaurant serving Indian street food with an American twist. But, it's such an unusual and intriguing concept that we just had to try it out. My knowledge of Indian cuisine is very limited, so when the lady behind the counter offered some assistance, it was much appreciated. She patiently described the different items on the menu and helped us figure out what to order. We started with mini samosas which include 2 dipping sauces, a green minty one and a brown tangy one. Other than mint, I don't know what else was in them, but I preferred the brown sauce. My husband and I decided to share the American Punjabi Thali since we could tell that it would be plenty of food for the both of us. It comes with Saag Paneer, Butter chicken and Daal. Plus, all of the Thalis include rice, mango chutney, naan bread and fryums. My son chose the Bunty burrito kids meal with Butter chicken. His too was enough food for a couple of meals, so lunch was taken care of for the next day. As with most Indian food, the flavors were bold and complex, although none of what we had was particularly spicy. I have no doubt that they can add more heat, so I'll have to make sure to request that next time. The only thing I wasn't really crazy about was the Saag Paneer, but that's just a personal preference, not because of a problem with the dish. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. I thought the quality seemed better than street food as well. The fact that there was a constant stream of customers coming in tells me that other people must feel the same way.

First time trying this groovy street food indian restaurant and I have to say it's a lovely addition to the town. Friendly service plus good food equals a win. Super clean, yet cozy modern interior with a groovy indian theme. They have really comfy couches and a beautiful live plant wall! Also, the music was bumpin! There were many unique food options which is awesome, because it all sounded good and we'll definitely come back to try more. The only thing is we hope they can adjust the spicy level next time because our mouths were on fire!!!

This is the kind of joint you should stumble across in Brooklyn or Beverly Hills. Finding it in Flower Mound is an out of body experience. INSANE menu. Unbelievable chill vibes. Even the soda selection is next level. For the love of god, support this place!

Forst time in. Didn't know what to expect when browsing the menu for the first time. Went with a classic dish for first choice. Solid food for a reasonable price. Look forward to return. Want to explore some of the fusion menu items. Friendly staff and comfortable booths. Glad qe ventured in to give them a go.

Delicious, filling food + friendly staff + fair prices = a winning combo. Well upkept dining area is also clutch. Burritos are huge and even their "street food" snacks like samosa chaat & kichori chaat are amply portioned. The music during lunch today was hip but not too loud and the mural on the side wall matches the vibe. Have been here 3x and have yet to be disappointed. Already looking forward to a return visit to try out several other items that look appetizing. I hope they keep their quality high so they'll have longevity.

Chicken tikka masala, chick peas were excellent. Rich Indian spice and enough heat to keep it interesting

Very good Indian food at a smaller but upscale walk up location. Menu has mostly Indian but some crossover into Indian/Mexican fusion. Flavors and taste were spot on and presentation was excellent.

We attended their Grand Opening today and were very impressed with the event and excecution. They offered free burritoes to about 1000 people and the operations were very efficient. The place has a nice, modern, energitic vibe. Staff was friendly. We tried the chicken tikka and butter paneer burritoes. Both were delicious, with perfect spice level. The rice and garbanzo beans (chhole) in the burrito were also tasty. They have a bar and serve cocktails and beers as well. Do visit them if you are in the area. We will be back to try other menu items.

Food was what I'd expect for "fast food" average run of the mill. Prices were high and I am a firm believer tip is optional, especially at a restaurant that does not provide "service" and no you doing your job; taking my order and putting it in a bag is not "service" it is a business transaction just like all others.

Very politely , good atmosphere huge meal portions, the only thing I did not like we the price but other that that would come here again.

Loved the food! We had the chicken sandwich, several burritos and a thali. Everything was great! My kids were insistent they didn't like Indian food but changed their minds after this. Everyone is excited to go back! Also the customer service was phenomenal. Fast casual place but the people working made it feel like fine dining.

    butter chicken curry

legitimately the worst butter chicken curry I've ever had in my life. I ate it anyway because I already paid for it, but I will never order from this place ever again. The curry tasted nothing like butter chicken, just some other kind of curry I guess. And the naan was flat, hard, and super oily. I'm not even trying to be mean, I just want to save other people from going to this place if theyre wanting good Indian food. No issues with the establishment or the workers, they were very nice and the restaurant was very clean. The food was just awful.

Mini Samosas w fresh sauce - very fresh green sauce! Yum!

The food was outstanding and the atmosphere is fun and casual, though counter service, saw one family receive a sit and order service. Very friendly!

Chicken Tika burrito, slightly spicy and still good if you don't like spicy.

Each item was clearly labeled, which made it easy for everyone to find their meal. The Chicken Biryani had great flavor and spice, the Paneer Tikka Masala was rich and creamy, and the Mushroom Masala was outstanding. The Garlic Naan was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the Aloo Tiki Chaat was a great starter with excellent texture and flavor. You can tell the restaurant takes pride not only in the food itself, but also in presentation and takeout quality. One of the best Indian takeout experiences we've had in the area. I ordered it mild and although at most Indian restaurants I've frequented mild is still pretty spicy, this mild was not spicy at all. There was a lot of chicken but it was dry and chewy and I believe there was some dark chicken which I am not used to in chicken tikka masala. I am not positive about this because I did not eat enough to be absolutely certain. The basmati rice was not memorable. I could not taste much garlic or butter in the naan. It was thick and chewy instead of thin and crisp on the edges. I really wanted to love this close and local Indian restaurant! I wanted to be able to support this new business endeavor and put it on my list of regular restaurants. But I ate only a few bites before I was disappointed. This was carry out and sometimes that can make a difference. But we don't live far and the food was wrapped and packed appropriately. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Spice & Tonic, unfortunately.

My "quick search" for local Indian food spat out Delhi6 Indian Kitchen & Bar as the top choice. Thirty minutes and 14 miles of Highland Village pavement later, I checked Google Maps only to find there was an Indian spot one mile from my location. At that point, I wasn't just hungry; I was "Yelp-betrayed" hungry. Walking into Delhi6 is a bit of a trip. I expected a standard restaurant; I got a lounge that felt like I should have traded my sneakers for a velvet blazer. It was dim, moody, and featured tabletop lamps that made me feel like I was about to negotiate a high-stakes merger--or at least a very serious order of Garlic Naan. I was greeted by Rohi, a man so well-dressed he made the rest of the room look under-rendered. He introduced himself as the acting manager and dropped a line so bold I almost choked on my own anticipation: "This is the best Indian restaurant in all of Texas." Sir, those are "fightin' words" in a state that takes its spices as seriously as its brisket. My expectations didn't just rise; they hit the ceiling. To see if Rohi was a prophet or just a very stylish salesman, I applied my standard Indian Food Litmus Test. No fancy bells and whistles--just the classics. Their menu, by the way, is a literal tome. It's as thick as the Cheesecake Factory menu, but thankfully with fewer pictures of Glazed Salmon and more promises of cumin-induced euphoria. The Tandoori Chicken was smokey, tender, redder than a fire engine. It had that perfect "kissed by the flames" char and a deep, smoky soul. The Chicken Tikka Masala balanced creaminess and spice. It was sweet, savory, and vibrating with bright spices. The chicken was so tender it practically dissolved on impact. The Paratha was dry and a bit tough--the one "C" on an otherwise straight-A report card. Despite the paratha being more "cardboard" than "cloud-like," the rest of the meal was a revelation. I found myself nodding along to Rohi's bold claims with every bite of that Tikka Masala. The flavors weren't just good; they were "I'm glad I drove 14 miles for this" good. It's right up there with the heavy hitters like Taj Mahal and Café Maharani. If I ever find myself in Highland Village again--or if Yelp decides to trick me into a cross-state road trip--I'm stopping back at Delhi6. Thank you, Yelp, for being terrible at math but excellent at finding me a five-star "mistake."
