I love all the baked goods here. My favorite is the strawberry cheesecake. Yummy. Yes, please give me another piece! I can't get enough of these yummo treats! The customer service is stellar! The ambiance is a chill vibe. read more

I'd heard a lot about this bakery and wanted to see if the hype was legit--and I was not disappointed! The Hive Bakery has new, fresh items daily. We tried three very different treats: oatmeal cream pie, strawberry cheesecake, and a pumpkin cream muffin. All three were delicious, but the strawberry cheesecake was our favorite. So good I literally moaned while eating it! My only complaint is that there isn't enough space to sit and enjoy your treats there. If you haven't been, add The Hive Bakery to your rotation--you won't be disappointed! read more

Cookies overcooked and dry. Definitely need milk to eat them. So much sugar it was cloying need water to wash it down. is EVERYTHING cream cheese? Basically this place is a half-star above a grocery store bakery. Because of cream cheese, its "healthy"! Very negative energy walking in here, felt uncomfortable. Didn't realize until after I ordered how afraid I became if they suspected I was from the wrong group-think, would they still bake the cake for me or adulterate it making me sick as a silent protest? Don't need that fear in my life will be going elsewhere. Very intimidating atmosphere and culture regardless your politics. when the sweets are this mediocre and dry, guess being edgy is only way to get attention read more

I came over to Hive Bakery because I read the reviews about the gluten free options available! My mom is gluten free and I wanted to get her a treat. I came in the afternoon and the place was packed. At one point, there was a line out the door! However, I was sad that they only had one gluten free choice. I came in the afternoon and I think you'd need to come earlier for better selection! The cases were pretty cleared out in general. The employee wasn't very pleasant and did not seem friendly or make any conversation. She seemed annoyed by the check out interaction. I know they were slammed so maybe that was a part of it. There isn't anywhere to sit and enjoy your treat inside so I can't speak to the ambiance. It's a grab and go location. The cookie was phenomenal! My mom loved it and it's large enough to be a several sitting dessert. I'll likely try Hive again, but try to go early! read more

I finally had gotten a chance to visit Hive last week after a couple friends recommended them to me. I got a treat for everyone in the family! One of my kids got a Krampus cookie, the other a giant brownie. I got to sneak a bite of the brownie & it's supper sweet/yummy! I had a cupcake which was delicious. My husband had a peanut butter cookie that was dipped in chocolate. I look forward to going again! read more

Very rude and unfriendly service, Definitely not worth the prices. I felt unwelcome! Grocery-store quality goods.

We went to support this place as we align with it. We got cupcakes and cookies. I specifically had the almond raspberry. They were sold out of the cool stuff. but we"ll be back read more

So much hype for a completely average bakery. Definitely not worth the prices. I felt unwelcome from the moment I walked in. What a strange feeling. Cute interior though. read more

Love it! Neatest little bakery, got those sweet gothy alt vibes, lots of personality. Apparently they're primarily a professional "buy order" specialty business, but despite their small size they do have a nice selection of impulse purchases. Everything from fine dinner breads to cakes, pies, and individual desserts. Obviously well crafted and creative choices. And I completely appreciate the social activism integrated into their work. Here for it! read more

Great selection of baked goodies, and everything we got was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly - it wasn't too busy while we were there. The cupcakes were especially delicious. They do have strong political views they don't hide. Consider that when you see the few low reviews they have been given. The "infested with rats and cockroaches" crack is nonsense - we were there a couple of days before that review was posted and it was spotless inside. read more

You know how you can find a restaurant or bakery on social media and absolutely fall in love with the idea of the place but then get there and actually try their products and be super disappointed? Well that was the complete opposite of what happened with Hive bakery. I was following them for a while online and finally got the chance to go in and try a few of their desserts. Their cookie dough brownie was probably the best brownie I've had in my entire life, and I've traveled all over the country trying different bakeries. The bakery itself was also beautifully decorated and well stocked on different shirts and merchandise as well. Service was good the person at the counter was very patient with us while I gushed over everything and kept adding to my purchase pile. From now on every time I'm in the dfw area I will be going to Hive bakery to get my sweet treat fix. read more

Oatmeal cookies taste like cardboard. Gluten free is also taste free! Staff were not pleasant . I would find another bakery!

Food is poor quality. Not worth the high price they ask for grocery-store quality goods.

Great experience. A little pricer than other bakeries but well worth it for the quality and selection. Definitely have to get there early to not have a long wait. read more

Great vibe as soon as you walk in. This place is not huge but I do recommend to look, explore and ask questions. My husband stopped last night and picked up some baked goods. The cupcakes are difficult to eat due to their height, but most cupcakes are. I'm only saying this because they could save a little money by using slightly less icing. The taste was pretty good. The reason I'm here is the blueberry linzer cookie. It was insane!!!! If you see this on the menu, run to get yours! I love supporting local, small businesses. You guys are great! read more

This place never disappoints. Every treat we've tried just tastes fantastic. We don't live anywhere near the bakery, but it is absolutely worth the drive. I went for the first time today and will come back every time we are in town. I was there with my special needs kids, and my son was overwhelmed with the new environment and became disruptive. Cute interior - 2 stars. I really wanted to support this place because of their political views but a business is still a business and in the end I want to be greeted, buy something yummy, and have the things I want to be available when I visit the store. Their showcases were nearly empty with 2+ hours left til closing, they didn't have halfnhalf, the employee kept giving false info, they didn't clearly list things on their menu, many of their baked goods were not labeled, the employee wasn't helpful in multiple ways when prompted, the coffee cups were leaking/dripping all over the place, ... the list goes on but I'll stop. The ultimate take away from my visit was mass confusion and disappointment. I hope to come back and give them another try but for now I am sad and disappointed. read more

They made a beautiful cake for my granddaughter's bat mitzvah. Also made photo cookies. The cake was amazing and delicious.

Tried 3 cookies: gingerbread, oatmeal with raisins, and soft sugar. All 3 tasted freshly made and were DELICIOUS. The gingerbread and sugar cookies had thick icing, but were not overly sweet. All were huge and could easily be shared. I loved all of them, especially the gingerbread - it was perfectly spiced. I wish I lived closer! read more

Been meaning to check out Hive Bakery for the last year, just never had the chance or time until today. We went in for their Taylor Swift themed deserts, and let me just say none of it disappointed! I LOVE sugar cookies in general but the ones from Hive are on a completely different level. Soo good. Macarons were also tasty. As for the cupcakes, from the ones I've tried so far the icing is decadent and cupcake itself is delicious. Everything you get at Hive is HUGE portion wise so definitely worth the price. And I say that to also pace yourself because you will get full quick! All in all, can't wait to come back to try some of the other goodies as well! read more

Ran in to pick up a few treats for myself and my daughter. Picked up a red velvet cupcake and 2 of each macaroon flavor they had for the day - strawberry, banana pudding, Oreo, and birthday cake. They were adorable. Our favorites were strawberry and birthday cake, the banana pudding tasted exactly like a banana laffy taffy and the Oreo tasted like coconut which I am not a fan of, but plenty people love it, my daughter enjoyed it. Now the red velvet cupcake OHMYGOD so good, I made myself save some for later because I won't be back in the area to pick up another one until next month. It was beyond delicious and the icing was perfect. Looking forward to going back and trying some different items and of course getting myself another red velvet cupcake or two. read more

In. Cred. I. Ble. I don't know how else to say it. We drove 23 miles from Dallas to try this bakery's confections and Hive and its staff did NOT disappoint. Not only did the store smell heavenly: like yeast and warm sugar, but the young women manning the register and filling the orders were professional, calm, kind, and welcoming, even on the 23rd of December with a line of people out the door. I'll add here that it was a windy 20°F when we visited and there was no shortage of people waiting patiently for their turn to purchase their favorites. Now onto the cookies. We limited ourselves to them for our purchases on this adventure and we are not sorry. As you can see in the photo, they are gorgeous - but that didn't deter us from eating them! Easily the best bakery cookies either of us has ever had. Hands down. There are vegan and GF options, which are delicious, and you can't go wrong with any choice of delectable carb bomb from Hive. Just the finest cookies I've ever had. Well worth a drive from East Dallas and worth the days of walks it will take to mitigate the effects on the waistline of these examples of culinary perfection. Run, don't walk. Now. read more
