While running early Saturday morning errands, I stopped here to grab a treat to enjoy while I waited for my car to get detailed. I've never visited any of their locations before, but I'm so glad they chose The Colony for their newest spot. The space is bright and clean. I wasn't quite sure what to do at first, but I quickly spotted the trays, boxes, and tongs and figured it out. There are case cases and case cases of beautiful pastries with so many different varieties that it's hard to choose. I went with a familiar favorite, a raspberry almond croissant and tried something new to me, a sweet potato twist. The sweet potato twist was my absolute favorite. I also noticed a big menu of specialty coffee drinks, but all of that is a foreign language to this straight, black coffee, kind of girl. There's a large case of stunning cakes that that I'll definitely keep in mind for future celebrations. I did expect to see more breads and baguettes, there was a smaller section with the sourdough loaf that looked promising. I heard they offer savory items as well, but I wasn't totally sure where or how to order those. I did spot a few in one of the cases. This is one of those places that will take me a couple more visits to fully understand the way of the land. Overall, it's a wonderful addition to our town, especially for anyone looking for something a little beyond the traditional donut shop.

I was so excited for this bakery to open within walking distance from our home. The grand opening was during the freeze, and as snow and hail flurried, we enjoyed a winter's stroll to and from Paris Baguette. The ambiance was exquisite with the accordion and crowd. The pastries and drinks were okay but they're definitely expensive for what you're getting. However, the app deals made it reasonable and we love that we can walk there. We made a second trip last Sunday to Paris Baguette to enjoy a snack while working on stuff and I'm sad to say that our perspective was diminished heavily, to the point that I'm not sure I'd want to go back. The café was a desert, a surprising and stark contrast from the fanfare the previous weekend. There were a couple of patrons but not enough people to dampen the blare of lukewarm 2000's pop music. Unfortunately we had a pretty bad situation with our order. We got a pastry and a drink. We redeemed and intended to use a "free drink with purchase" coupon from the app. The first employee, a trainee, accidentally redeemed a free pastry coupon instead of our free drink coupon. Then the manager came over to help and first told us we didn't have a free drink, but then when we pointed out that the scanner on the kiosk was dead, she brought us to the second station and was able to ring it up properly. Unfortunately, since the trainee redeemed the free pastry coupon we lost both coupons and still had to pay for our pastry, meaning we never got and will never get a free pastry. I submitted a request for assistance to the email that the app direct links to (rewards@parisbaguette.com) but I have yet to hear from them. The app issues suck but they are by no means the fault of the staff at this branch. However, having my issues dismissed and being told I'm wrong when I try to explain my situation while trying to show my app really rubbed me the wrong way. Moreover, after everything was resolved with me trying to redeem the drink, I also asked the staff about what to do with my pastry offer, which was now gone from the trainee redeeming it but not using it. I was met with further dismissal - they told me it would return to the app but it's been 4 days and the coupon would have expired tomorrow. Something tells me I'm not getting the free pastry back. :( The location, large space and bright lighting give this Paris Baguette an amazing opportunity to become a third place for many people in the community. I truly believe it can become a part of The Colony. My first experience was so amazing and I'm trying to hold on to that hop. I'll give it a month or two and try it again. Fingers crossed! (Also praying that my free pastry comes back!)

My Hazelnut Latte was a perfect combo of their concoction with 25% less sweet. I had a large and carried my cup with me as I toured Dallas with my lovely sisters to enjoy the local Asian scrumptious. It felt like a true neighborhood spot--warm, familiar, and thoughtful. But this year, not even a "Happy Mother's Day" in sight. It may seem small, but it speaks volumes about the shift in atmosphere since the new ownership. Service feels more distant now, less like a community hub and more transactional. The new owner is courteous, but the inviting energy is gone. The food is still good, but I deeply miss the quiche--crafted with love and skill by the previous pastry chef. It was a standout and irreplaceable. Bread is made more often now, which is nice in theory, but consistency has slipped. My last loaf was disappointingly hard around the edges. This isn't a harsh critique--it's hopeful. I'd love to see some of the old heart and hospitality return. It made all the difference.

Paris Baguette - Lewisville…read more Totally unexpected location. Pastries galore! "Strawberry Croissant," had fresh fruit with fluffy texture and sweet creamy filling. This might be, truly, the best croissant come across my tastebuds! If you're familiar with Lewisville, TX, you know for number of years some parts of it were run down and not taken care of. Vista Ridge Mall, was one of those neighborhoods that was neglected for years and sadly looks like a ghost town inside and out. I recently walked through this mall with family and it was sad to see what once was a very prominent shopping and dining place, became almost abandoned. So I thought. When you drive around the mall, you'll see a nice corner lot of the building, full parking lot that has a small town of its own. Full of Korean shopping and dining. You'll find a large, "Zion Food Market," and next to it... "Paris Baguette." As soon as you walk through the large glass doors, you're immediately be transported into French atmosphere. The fresh baked goods aromas are crowding into your nostrils. To your right is pastry galore options. "Prosciutto Fig & Goat Cheese Pizzetta," "Hash Brown Bread," "Pastry Franks," "Mini Grain Cream Cheese Pastry," "Mini Croissants," "Strawberry Croissants," "NY Cheese Tart," "Tiramisu Tart," "Sweet Rice Doughnuts," "Sausage Stick Bread," "Snow Bunny Cake," "Chocolate Strawberry Cake," "Red Velvet Cake," and surprisingly... so much more. The amount of fresh, handmade, pastries this particular location has can be overwhelming. You can walk around and try to find the perfect pastry for yourself and you'll find yourself lost in your inner desires. After walking around, on an empty stomach, trying to select the best pastry, I ended up settling on, "Prosciutto Fig & Goat Cheese Pizzetta," "Pastry Frank," and "Strawberry Croissant." When you place your order, you have such kind and friendly staff. They were extremely helpful in helping me with my large selection. "Strawberry Croissant," had fresh fruit with fluffy texture and sweet creamy filling. This might be, truly best croissant I've ever tasted. "Pastry Frank," was soft to the touch and the meat inside was evenly cooked that with every bite, it was a perfect dance combination for your tongue. Their New, "Prosciutto Fig & Goat Cheese Pizzetta," was very delicious. The large peace's of goat cheese, mix with other meats and seasonings made a perfect choice for a snack or a meal. In fact, costing under $6, I was full after eating it by itself. I had to take the rest of the pastries To-Go. Definitely recommend this location for pastries galore and friendly staff.

The typical bakeries in this area (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen etc) are often chains, and focus on soft breads such as donuts and cakes, with the token boring croissant, and the Asian bakeries (also chains) offer a completely different style of breads, so to finally come across a place with innovative crisp laminated pastries is a treat! Note - they do not sell breads. I visited on a Friday morning around 8am and although there were only two people ahead of me in line, they were already out of almond croissants and I took the last sausage roll on display (but the bakers were probably baking more). There was a continuous flow of people in and out. The location is definitely set up to be a to-go place and NOT somewhere you come to sit and eat. No ambiance. No need to bring the friends and family, just send someone to buy a box of treats and enjoy at home. Being in a strip-mall complex, parking is easy.
