All three of the people that came by to refill coffee and water and to check on us (multiple times) were very nice. We were fortunate to arrive at the perfect time for a Saturday morning, as we would find out in just a few minutes, as we watched the wait list grow. This being our first time, we weren't sure of the seating situation. I walked to the back, where the to-go pick up was located, to find that we can sit anywhere and that someone would come and help us. We did, and they did. I suggest you stop in and give Curuba a try. Very reasonable prices, lots of menu choices, wonderful staff, oh, did I mention the coffee? I love dark roast coffee, "Just black, please". This Columbian coffee is dark, rich, smooth and flavorful with an aroma that hits the senses with every taste. If you're a dark roasted coffee fan, stop in for a cup to go. You'll be back. And even better, the coffee comes from Columbia. They purchase it from a local importer (I believe). They provided the url via QR code. We believe in the "Buy local" philosophy. It's nice to see businesses doing business with local businesses. THE BAD: It's a small restaurant. Making a reservation (Open Table) is likely a good idea. We happened to find it at a slow moment on a Saturday morning. OVERALL: We're fans. I'd love to take our friends and family for lunch, or tell them about our new find. However, there are some things better kept to oneself.

The gentleman practically went over the entire menu with us which was much appreciated . We were constantly checked on and felt really welcomed. My friend got a coffee and said it was very good . We also tried the lulo and Maracuya juice . I highly recommend the lulo if you enjoy tart and sweet ( the maracuya was a bit too sweet for my liking ). We started off with the empanada sampler and Marcilla au gratin . Not big fans of the marcilla - way too much dairy . The sausage itself was good, but wouldn't get it again . Our favorite empanada was the calentao followed by the brisket. The chicken was just ok. We both agreed that our main course, the sancocho de costilla was yummy . If you're looking for a hearty soup that feels like a nice warm hug, I'd highly recommend . Overall, worth checking out . I'd come back to try other dishes and grab something from the bakery .

Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy it due to weather yet, we had a few ladies greet us as we were hugged by the warmth of the heaters. This venue had a very inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay. The food was also delicious. Yard burger, chicken tenders, and 1/2 order of nachos were all pleasantly filling. Also the queso is a must have to prepare you for your meal. Our waitress was able to be readily available for any needs without smothering our party. Drinks never made it half empty and frequently served on all without interrupting any conversation through the party.

My friend and I walked circles around the property trying to figure out where we can sit or even place an order. Finally, we found someone and we requested to sit outside away from a heater. Well....there was apparently no "outside servers" that day. This was very confusing because there were many staff members just standing chatting with customers who already paid ages ago. The food was very salty and it tasted like it's been sitting there for a while. Additionally, the infamous waffle fries came out lukewarm which was very unpleasant. The entire time we were in the restaurant I see all the staff chatting it up with the same customers who happened to later buy them all food. I guess thats how you get their attention. Because somehow, we never got any refills or even our check. Keep in mind there wasn't many people in the restaurant itself at that time.

We started with the Ahi Poke Stack for an appetizer. It was DELICIOUS. The tuna was fresh, and all of the other flavors were on point. The wanton chips are my favorite, super crispy. I ordered the Brussels sprouts, quinoa, and roasted chicken salad (so did my sister-in-law), my brother ordered the Spicy chicken and waffles, and they ordered my nephew fish and chips. The food was great all around. I loved the freshness of the salad, especially the dried cranberries. I tried the spicy chicken and it was soooooo good. The batter is light and crispy, not too spicy, and the maple syrup really completes the flavors. I will definitely try that at our next brunch. I didn't try the fish and chips but my nephew loved

They were a regular stop in our family's restaurant rotations for several years. A few months ago, a couple of visits were disappointing because of slow service so we stopped going. Last week, I wanted to go again because there is one appetizer of theirs I adore and I missed it. My husband and I went for lunch on a Sunday, and they were fairly busy, as usual. We ordered, then waited. Then we waited some more. We waited long enough that I noticed a couple of families who were seated after us not only had been served their food but were nearly finished eating! We had not seen our server for awhile, either, so I asked the hostess if there was a manager on the premises. She said there was, but the manager was helping bring food out of the kitchen. Another 5-10 minutes passed and our food was brought out by the restaurant manager. She said 'the kitchen got backed up'. I asked if perhaps our order was not put it after we ordered. She said 'no, I guarantee that isn't what happened, we just got busy.' It sounded more like she was being defensive rather than offering an apology for our long wait. This restaurant has been busy every time we have been there, so are they recently short-staffed? I doubt that the kitchen just happened to 'back up' several random times in a row when we happened to visit. Disappointing. It's too bad because they used to be better.

Henry checked on us often, was super patient, and just genuinely kind. Bernie kept our water full and was always nearby making sure we were good without hovering. They made the whole night feel easy and fun. The food was just as good. We started with the mushroom fondue, creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The bread was perfect, crispy and thin but still sturdy enough to scoop everything up without falling apart. We also split one of the toast boards and loved it. Great mix of flavors and just a really fun thing to share. They're also known for some really good favorites like the burrata toast, steak frites, truffle fries, and their charcuterie boards. Their brunch gets a lot of hype too, especially the French toast and eggs Benedict. And their seasonal cocktails are always a hit, really creative and well balanced. Bathrooms were clean, always a plus. Only tiny note, I wish there were more purse or coat hooks, every place needs those. Overall, we had such a great time. The service really stood out and the food totally delivered. Definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next visit.
