Wasn't what I usually eat and that's been my favorite dish there for ever. Last night I tried to eat the butter chicken it was awful. I could tell instead of using chicken, the kitchen used the left over Tandoori from the buffet from previous days. It was dry, red and stabbing my mouth as weak as full of pieces of bones. I couldn't eat it. It's now midnight and I have food poisoning. I won't ever be back. Do yourself a favor, checkout The Silk Road in Coppell. I eat there almost every day. They do have a lunch menu but I personally just love the take out. The location does have a seating area and has a buffet section on the side; it's well kept and not too overwhelming. Give this place a try, definitely try a different item each time. This is my go to Indian restaurant in Denton .

I started out with samosa's, not bad but I've had better samosa's. They have a pretty big menu with most common Indian dishes you would expect. They also have biryani's and nepalan dishes. I talked to the server and she mentioned the "Chowk special curry" is one of their popular dishes and I decided to try something different. I ordered it with chicken. Their spice scale is mild, medium and spicy. I can usually eat spicy as long as it doesn't get too crazy but decided to go with medium. This dish is spicy, I was still sweating bullets but that's ok. It was delicious. You can order it with most normal protein's I ordered it with chicken and it was great. I also ordered their "bullet naan", naan bread with some kind of chili from my understanding. It was good, not too spicy and a bit different. They have many different types of naan bread. Service was great and I really liked the food. I thought it was also quite affordable. Ordered goat biryani and tikka masala to go with garlic naan bread which is my kids' favorite. At 30 mins i went to ask and was then told it would be ANOTHER ten mins with little more than a disnissive apology. $40 including a tip which you enter at the register......I might have adjusted it had I known about the wait....LOL.....In any case you can imagine how annoying it is to see everybody else get food while you're waiting for yours. Left with the food and the intention not to return. However to be fair, the food was pretty good when I got home and ate with the family. The spices are just beautifully done and cooked with care. While the wait is not ideal I can say the food was great. If it was just about the food I'd say 4-5 stars easily and perhaps I'd call it in next time and finish a few more pickleball games next door before walking over to pick it up. But the overall experience I would rate a 3. All forgiven as I realize sometimes it happens. Maybe next time it will be better overall.
