While I am a huge super fan of TC. This experience wasn't the best. My wife and I had been on the road all day and were saving ourself for this very TC before we got home. Sadly we haven't had TC in a few years cause they aren't in Houston as of right now. So we get there and for whatever reason the lobby was closed. Ahhhh Haaaa salvation.....the drive thru was open!!! We decide to hit the drive thru and then picnic on the outside tables. All was looking fantastic.....the fella on the other side of the speaker was super nice and pleasant. I get our order, sit out front and start the enjoy what we remembered of our TC love. Sadly this is where the most of the disappointments begin.....the tacos were super weak in my opinion, delicious, but weak. The Super Nacho with toppings on the side was Super Sad. The portion of the sides has changed dramatically, they use to come in nice little cups. Now the are in a weirdly shallow 4 way portion container. The grandest of boo-hoo's was the friendly chap at the window didn't hear me correctly when ordering my meat burrito, we got bean burritos instead. I wasn't about to sit in the drive thru again since there was a nice little line. So......that's my sad story, Pretty sure I saw some other order issue going on while we were there, but the process was hard to dispute with only the drive thru open. read more

Litterally the worst taco casa out of all the onEs I've ever been to the customer service is terRible there is a very nasty and ugly woman at the window who gives nothing but attitude and bad service i will drivE all the way to college station loccation from this point forward highly do not recommend eating here. Not only is the food yummy and worth the price, the staff is so wonderful all the time. They are so happy to be at work and serve you. So polite and always smiling. It's always clean inside the restaurant as well! I cannot say the same for the new College Station Taco Casa however. Which is unfortunate for me because I work very close to this location. The small menu is probably what keeps the prices down. My husband and I ordered more than we needed thinking the size would be small. Their tortillas are so soft! The only issue I had was how my burrito was rolled. All the toppings at the top and all the beans and meat at the bottom, I simply rerolled it. Ok, I gave them 4 stars! Here is the deal, they know who they are and what they serve. This is fast food of the Mexican food variety. Although there's not many items on the menu, this place has awesome food. I got the taco with mild sauce. I was so so so happy when I found out College Station was getting a Taco Casa and I went yesterday and it certainly did not disappoint! Taco Casa was basically my childhood and I miss it so much while I'm at college, but now I can have it anytime I want! I always get the spicy bean burrito and it was perfect at this location too! I love this restaurant. It's nothing spectacular, but at the same time it's amazing. This place makes delicious food cheaply. There's not a huge variety like some fast food "mexican" restaurants. They have roughly 7 different menu items but that's what's awesome about it! They keep it simple and they make it awesome. What can I really say Taco casa is just the basics of meat beans & the fixins on either a tortilla, chips or a taco shell or in a salad. To be honest for anyone thinking of going here, this is a more expensive taco Bell with just a pinch more of authentic ingredients. Would not reccomend. All three are about on par: taco casa, taco cabana, and taco Bell, but this one is outrageously expensive for every item. Well- I thought I liked this place but I can't any longer. My family of 3 went yesterday for dinner and then spent the entire night and today sick. I called and asked for a manager just to give a heads up since all 3 of us were sick and he just said "well nobody else has called". No apology or anything. Do these things happen- yes, of course. Could we have possibly gotten sick and it was just coincidence about the food- yes, of course. But I thought the manager could have at least apologized or acknowledged it in some way... but no. Customer service at the restaurant was poor, the smell of the restrooms lingered throughout the eating area, we didn't finish our food as it didn't really taste quite right, and the manager's customer service today didn't help. What happened to Taco Casa? Haven't been here in a while & today's visit was disappointing. Only 2 other tables occupied yet we could not find a place to sit because all the tables were dirty. The trash had been removed but the tables had not been wiped off. When the order came, one item I paid for was missing. I had to wait several minutes for the missing item. The food was just ok. After eating I decided to get an order of cinnamon casa delights for dessert. Normally, they are warm & crispy. Today they were cold & soft. The replacement order I requested was the same. The people here are very friendly other than this 1 moron that took our order. This guy kepted us waiting because he was zoned out staring at his cash register screen. He finally woke up when his co worker from the back and said hey they are waiting to order. It was funny but it really sucks an older man is working so much harder than a younger guy. Doc was great. I have loved the food from day one when they opened. I am a die hard fan of the food, have always loved going into the restaurant and drive thru both. However today I was the most disappointed I have ever been in any food place. I order the super nachos and always tell them I want everything on the side. I learned the hard way the first time I ordered. Today it comes to the table everything on it so I took it back to the counter and said I asked for everything on the side. The guy who brings it back to the table tells me to make sure I order it right the next time that he just tossed $8 in the trash. I bit my tongue and decided to call back to talk to mgmt. When I did that, I get told that he is the owner, he rewound the tape and I ordered it wrong. What did I want, he remade it for me? A simple apology would have sufficed. Customer service 101 is in order here. Even if I had ordered it incorrectly, this was not the way to ever treat anyone period. I've been in customer service 15 + years and I would have been fired if I had ever talked to a customer the way I was talked to both in the restaurant and on the phone. I will not be back which is sad as I was a huge fan and shared their posts on facebook all the time etc. I am big on buying and eating local. read more

It's Taco Bell except the only meat they offer is ground beef and everything has black olives on it. I gave it an extra star because the dining room is pretty impressive (at the new South College Station Location). You can tell someone took pride in that dining room. If only they took more pride in the food they served. Their slogan is "Real Fresh... Real Food... Real Good..." I don't consider any food made from cans and bags on an assembly line to qualify for any of those statements, but to each their own. If you're looking to both pound a taco gut bomb down your throat and stick it to the Taco Bell man, this is the place for you. read more
