I tried the one in Bryan last weekend and it was one of the top notch Taco Casas that I have visited. Sometimes I just don't understand how Taco Bell stays open when there is a taco casa around. I don't care what you order or which one you order it from, consistency is the key and this chain has figured that out! The menu might seem limited, but they never skimp on any of their products and it all is very fresh! Service happened to be a little slow at this taco casa or was it? Never again - I have three times drove a considerable distance to this restaurant only to have them close early and not stay open the hours they claim to be open. This last time the employees ignored me at the drive thru and walked by the window so I decided to call and the employee hung up on me when I asked why they once again closed 30min earlier than the posted time. When I asked to talk to a manager I was hung up on and they never answered again. Management needs to do some mystery shopping in their employees for sure as it's easily repeatable. There was even another car in the drive thru ahead of me just as frustrated and circled the building to try the drive thru again. No wonder the south college station store closed if this is how the employees operate. If the owners knew I'm sure this would not be tolerated. I will not be going here anymore. I think it is a decent place to get some cheap and fast food. Any of those "super" items on the menu would make you feel stuffed. I ordered chiladas, my friend ordered meat burritos, and we shared the super nachos. I like my chiladas. It was a little bit salty but still tasty, above the average of the chain fast food. Last few times we went to this location it was inconsistent each time. Felt like they didn't have well trained people in the kitchen....or different people in the kitchen that were new and not well trained. The last time we got food, the order was wrong. I went for Super Nachos, tonight. They send out text messages for deals each day of the week. Today's was super nachos for $5 so we pull up to the drive-thru to order. We pay and then they tell us it will be 10 minutes until it's ready because they have to have more time to melt the cheese. 10 minutes goes by. I walk inside to ask what's taking so long. They tell us 5 more minutes. 20 minutes in total is how long our order took. The cheese is 100% nacho cheese you buy in bulk at Sam's Club! I will never go back on a day they're running a special on their "nachos". They're not even worth the $5 I paid. Fifty sense, at best, is what they're worth. read more

I have to agree 100% with Alex on this one. Not real Mexican food and a step above Taco Bell. The ingredients are better than Taco Bell and they use real ground beef and fresh grated cheese. Lots of cheese. I had 2 crispy beef tacos and they were so stuffed with cheese, there was no way you could even put any hot sauce on them. I am not a fan of their hot sauce. Surely this place can come up with a better tasting hot sauce. Overall, I liked the tacos for what they were. Crispy beef tacos. Worst customer service ever and unprofessional! Two weeks ago my wife went through the drive thru and place an order. She was in a hurry and did not check her order. We live about a hour away so when we order we get the meats, lettuce, and cheese on the side so our meal won't get soggy. Came home and look in the bag and no chips to go with cheese and jalpeno. Next pose to have soft tacos. But we did get tacos. So she call and spoke to manger and she told her next order is on them. So here today I came in and explain to them on the previous order that they had mess up. At first gave me a hard time and made me wait. He just want to verifie my order. And he ask the girl who took my wife's order and she pose to written it down some where on her notes. But anyways he finally took my order without charge. So I wait for a while for a burrito, 5 tacos, 3 soft tacos, and nacho cheese. So one employee came out and gave me my order and I say Thank you and she didn't say anything back. Shows you how unprofessional these kids are. But I was in a hurry to go home and did not check. I figure they double check the order. Came home and again soft tacos weren't in the bag. Everything else was right. I'm fed up with this establishment. I call them and the girl remembers me and the way she spoke to me was unprofessional. She did not apologize at me at all. While I am a huge super fan of TC. This experience wasn't the best. My wife and I had been on the road all day and were saving ourself for this very TC before we got home. Sadly we haven't had TC in a few years cause they aren't in Houston as of right now. So we get there and for whatever reason the lobby was closed. Ahhhh Haaaa salvation.....the drive thru was open!!! We decide to hit the drive thru and then picnic on the outside tables. All was looking fantastic.....the fella on the other side of the speaker was super nice and pleasant. I get our order, sit out front and start the enjoy what we remembered of our TC love. Sadly this is where the most of the disappointments begin.....the tacos were super weak in my opinion, delicious, but weak. The Super Nacho with toppings on the side was Super Sad. The portion of the sides has changed dramatically, they use to come in nice little cups. Now the are in a weirdly shallow 4 way portion container. The grandest of boo-hoo's was the friendly chap at the window didn't hear me correctly when ordering my meat burrito, we got bean burritos instead. I wasn't about to sit in the drive thru again since there was a nice little line.
