Bestie and I stopped in on our walk back from Whole Foods, $38.99/lb filet mignon beef tenderloin in tow for the beef Wellington I'm making for Sunday Supper when I caught a craving for some quick and easy grub. We have heard about these meal deals and decided to share a box. I had the beefy 5 layer burrito + rice, some of the chips & nacho cheese, and half of the hard shell taco. Bestie had the chicken chalupa and we shared a Starry. Let me tell you, this shi* hit the spot!!! We dined in because I was super hungry so carrying back home was not an option. Demolished this Surpreme Luxe Box in a few minutes flat while being serenaded by their jazz lounge tunes. If only they served spicy margs! Sooooo yummy and for like $8 bucks - can't beat it! Obvi this meal for me alone would be WAY too much food, but perfect to go halfsies on.

Strawberry freeze when it was suppose to be Baja blast strawberry freeze

I stopped by this Taco Bell location today because I order food at a place next door. I parked at the little garage parking they have toward the back. I wanted to take advantage of the happy hour freeze so that's why I came here. When I walked inside, they were not busy at all. It is encouraged to order from the kiosk so that's what I tried to do but it was so slow and non responsive. I asked a worker who came to give food to someone else and he seem annoyed I asked. He saw how slow it was but after a while he just walked away when he got me to the menu screen. I ordered the Baja blast with strawberry freeze and when I went to pay using credit card, it kept throwing an error message. So the lady who was checking in for work on the counter asked the same guy who tried to help me before to ring me up. He rang he up and then made my drink but the one he made was a strawberry freeze and not a Baja blast strawberry freeze. I didn't want to be that customer so I just took my drink and walked out. The strawberry freeze is still good but I just wanted to try the Baja blast strawberry freeze.

Taco Bell - Sherman Oaks It is very mellow, clean, cool inside, and the employees are fun as well as friendly. The veggie cravings menu with small modifications (hold the dairy for me - I know how to make it vegan) is my fast food taco bell bliss - Black Bean Crunchwrap, Cinnamon Twist and those Season Fries are all good good here. If you order via UberEats, Postmastes, etc - you can add and subtract ingredients very easily rather than listing off in the drive-thru or inside. Plenty of parking and a drive-thru that STAYS busy even with only one or two cars... Six more seem to just show up after. Get that T.Bell fix at this perfect location in Sherman Oaks near Hazeltine Avenue / off Ventura Blvd nextdoor to Jiffy Lube. Rarely any order mishaps at this location.

Decided at midnight on Friday night we had a craving for Taco Bell! Got in the drive thru line and it loved really quickly even though there was 10 cars ahead of us. Ordered a chicken cantina taco and crunch wrap supreme. Both were fresh, hot and perfect for satisfying the craving! Got hot sauce of course, and will be back.

On Tuesday, May 1, 2025 I pulled into the Taco Bell drive through to try the new chalupa street tacos - the line went by in a timely manner and the service was polite. Unfortunately the food didn't exceed my expectations. The portions of steak provided is underwhelming and fills but a small portion of the chalupa shell.... For the price paid it was not worth it.

Cut receipt. I'm not able to scan and get my rewards.

ADAN C. You are a thief!!!. I placed an order specifically because I was very close to reaching the next reward threshold in the Taco Bell app. However, the employee who served me intentionally handed me a receipt that had been altered to remove the barcode necessary for scanning my rewards. This was clearly a deliberate act to prevent me from receiving my earned points, so he could keep it for himself. In essence, this employee stole from me. When I confronted the employee about the missing scan code, he feigned confusion, which I found disingenuous given the clear alteration of the receipt. I then spoke with the manager on duty. While the manager attempted to rectify the situation by printing a new receipt, this unfortunately did not work. I was informed that the new receipt was processed as an "employee meal," rendering it invalid for reward points. This entire experience has been incredibly disappointing. Not only was an employee dishonest, but the attempted resolution by the manager was also ineffective. I feel cheated out of the reward points I was working towards, and the actions of your employee are unacceptable. I've heard stories about employees doing this and then making up excuses that the paper jammed. That's exactly what excuse he used. Didn't think I would be a victim to this. Sad that you would risk your job for 5 dollars

    The burrito with metal.
    Luella E.

TERRIBLE costumer service. I called to report metal in my burrito and they started getting petty and saying i first said it was a taco. Not only was the burrito terrible but they do not care about safety. I then called back and they immediately hung up as soon as i started to order. DO NOT RECOMMEND. SAVE YOURSELF.

The shell fell apart on every taco. Other items missing the beef

I recently tried out El Cocinero's food at an event that they catered to. As a person who eats meat and is not restricted, I would come here for the good food. The vegan al pastor had chunks of pineapple and it is seasoned and cooked to taste just like the meat version. The texture is just a little bit different but it does resemble a lot like meat. The vegan pastor also tastes just like the meat version, just less "smoky" and the texture is softer. The rice is flavorful and fluffy. The beans are seasoned just enough to have flavor but not compete with the other dishes. The creamy chipotle sauce was perfect topping the rice and beans. I do like vegan food but the only reference I had with Mexican vegan are places that try to add fake cheese and lean heavily on beans and rice. This business shows that you can still have all the flavors and not rely on cheese and meat. They focus on the flavors and not what would make non-vegans feel comfortable. Initially, I was going to give this first time experience a 4 star review so that it encourages me to go check out the restaurant so I can add the service and the ambiance. However, I was lucky enough to bring home leftovers and as I was eating it, the food tastes better. Had to add the extra star!

First time at El cocinero, planning on coming back again and again and again!!!!!!!…read more I was informed it was all and everything is vegan which I love tacos and to find a vegan Mexican spot that is all vegan came in clutch. This place had everything you'd need and tastes so good for a vegan spot. You would be able to fool me and tell me this is actual meat and I'd believe it. That's how good it was! I got the quesadilla (half asada, half al pastor) omg that was the best thing I have ever had. The cheese melts and pulls just like regular Cheese. The meat was so juicy and good flavor. I'd get it again and again But I'd probably try the tacos next time along with the quesadilla tbh. I also got the flan which was tbh less sweeter than a regular flan. But hey I still loved it, I don't complain about it. It was still delicious. (Funny incident, I ordered the flan at the front and paid for it.i wasn't told anything else by the guy at the register. SoThen went back to the table and Waited and waited and waited for a good 20 minutes, till I asked about it and was told that I can just grab it out of the refrigerator!!!! Smh, as much as I was upset as much as I for some reason just found it funny. So don't do the same mistake I did and just go grab it right after you pay for it.) Overall, I loved everything and all the things about this place. Nice seating areas, nice environment , helpful workers, convenient parking! And most importantly, delicious food. Definitely be visiting this place again!

Our food came to our table I'd say within 10-15 minutes of ordering. I honestly could have shared mine. It was a lot with those potatoes, and even my husband who's a thin guy said one of those tacos would have been sufficient (and he could have helped me with mine...haha). The salsas and guacamole complement my order excellently! I am giving two stars, however, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, at times, the amount of meat per taco or vampiro is minimal. In turn, at times, the amount of meat is very fair. So, consistency is lacking. Thus, effectively , you don't always get your money's worth. Secondly, I believe that they are understaffed or not prepared when business gets busy. For example, I recently stopped by on a Saturday at 10:30am for a couple of tacos. After waiting for ten minutes for someone to come to the window and provide some service, I was told that the wait time for anything that I order will be a minimum of 25 minutes because they have large online orders that they need to prepare. Obviously, I left. The employee was kind but appeared to also be a stressed out. Though I understand that online (DoorDash, GrubHub, etc...) orders are a reality in the world today, it is unfortunate that customers frequenting a business in-person would not be able to be served in a decent and timely manner. I recommend Tacos 1986 if you would like some good food. However, only go in-person if you know that you have, for sure, 25 minutes for a couple of street tacos. Otherwise, you may have to walk away while still hungry, like I did.

My food was ready in less than five minutes, which was impressive. Fatima, the cashier, really made the experience stand out. She was incredibly pleasant and patient, answered all my questions without rushing me, and made ordering easy. Great customer service goes a long way, and she absolutely delivered. The tacos themselves are pretty good. The menu is on the smaller side, but they do a solid job covering different options, including vegetarian choices. I ordered the mushroom quesadilla tacos, and they came with guacamole, cheese, cilantro, and onion simple but flavorful and satisfying. Overall, I'm giving them 3 stars mainly because the customer service and speed were phenomenal. Pair that with reasonable prices and solid food, and you've got a pretty good taco spot in Sherman Oaks. I'll definitely be back. Wish they had veggie options for taco Tuesday.

When I come here, I usually order the cheese enchiladas. They're the best I've ever had. Perfect flavor, cheesiness, and consistency (thickness/density). This time around, I decided to try out something different, the Carne Asada plate. It was fantastic. Usually, restaurants use cheaper cuts of meat like skirt or flank steak for their carne asada. Maybe I'm losing my mind, but the carne asada I had looked and tasted a lot like ribeye steak, which happens to be my favorite cut of beef. For my drink, I had the horchata like I normally do. The horchata here is something special. It's thicker and creamier than your average horchata and packs a cinnamon punch. The only knock on this place is the parking situation. There's limited parking relative to the size of the establishment. You may have to find street parking around the park nearby. But don't let something like that discourage you from checking this place out. This place is worth it. I drive up to the Valley from the South Bay just to visit this restaurant.
