This place is fantastic! It was a real pleasure being able to visit and indulge in all of the delicious options offered at BLVD Steak! For appetizers, we tried the Wagyu beef meatball, the scallops (which were a special of the night), and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was so soft and delicious and the presentation was superb! The scallops had a great flavor and the Wagyu beef meatball was delicious and soft. For my man course, I ordered the day's special wich was a Wagyu beef steak with a balsamic glaze and it was amazingly soft and flavorful. Others at my table had a bite and also raved about it. They do steak right at this restaurant. Additionally, my favorite side dish was the mushrooms. I highly recommend if you enjoy mushrooms. Our server was very kind and personable. Everything about the experience was top tier.

Always a Pleasure to dine here. They never seem to fail. Been coming here since day 1 of opening and every visit is just as great as the past. Had a beautiful dinner. Steak & Frites is a must try. Ceaser Salad is Amazing, one of the best Old Fashion and of course we topped it off with Black Caviar.

My significant other and I visited BLVD Steakhouse for the first time for my birthday. A good friend has raved about the restaurant for quite some time, so I was excited to give it a try. I enjoyed everything about the restaurant, and I look forward to going back. We had an early reservation and were seated right away upon arrival in a great booth that was spacious and had a view of the entire dining area on the side we were on. Upon being seated, our server, Jon, stopped by right away to welcome us. We had a few minutes to look at the menu, and Jon let us know about the evening's specials. We decided on a seafood tower for two, 6 oz filets, a loaded baked potato, and a lobster tail. The lobster tail was a special for the evening, at a smaller size than the usual one on the menu. Well, I must have gotten lucky because it was large to me. Everything was delicious. Once we were finished, Jon brought over a birthday dessert with a fun sparkler in it. The dessert was butter cake and ice cream, which was an enjoyable finish to the evening. Overall, I really enjoyed all the food that I tried, and Jon went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner very special.

Came here for my birthday dinner on January 22 and honestly had a great experience. The place was packed, and it was a weeknight, which already tells you this spot is popular for a reason. We had a reservation for six, but only three of us arrived first. They still seated us right away and didn't make us wait for the rest of our group, which I really appreciated. The front was crowded, so not having to stand around was a big plus. We were seated in the back and I didn't even realize how big this restaurant was until then. From the outside, it looks smaller, but inside it's actually huge. The vibe was great. Everyone looked happy to be there. A lot of tables were celebrating birthdays too, so it felt like a fun, positive night all around. Most of us ordered steak. I got the 16 oz New York steak and loved it, but I'm also a big meat guy, so I'm a little biased. The appetizers were really good. The Wagyu meatballs, lobster mashed potatoes, and truffle fries are a must. The shrimp appetizer was also amazing and different from the usual shrimp cocktail. The creamed spinach was another favorite. Super good. The Caesar salad was fine. Not bad at all, just not the best I've ever had. Still enjoyed it. Service was excellent. Someone was always refilling our water before we even had to ask, which was perfect because I was really thirsty that night. All the servers were friendly, quick, and very attentive. Overall, food was about an 8 out of 10, service was 10 out of 10, and the vibe was 10 out of 10. Great place for celebrations. I'd definitely come back. Highly recommend if you want good steak, great service, and a fun atmosphere.

It was date night and we were looking for a place that had a nice bar for drinks. We landed on BLVD steak, even though we were pretty sure it would be too busy to get seats. We were in luck! We got two seats at the bar and enjoyed some martinis, waffle fries and the yellowtail crudo. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. The bartenders were SO friendly and attentive. The one thing about this place is that it's super loud. So I wouldn't say to come here for an intimate dinner. It seems like it's great for large parties. It gets to crowded that it feels a little cramped but it's definitely a fun scene! Folks of all ages and even families enjoying their meals. Plan to spend a pretty penny, it is a steakhouse after all.

Happy New Year! My husband and I came here to bring in 2026. Even though it's a restaurant, it was a still a party! There was dancing, drinking, and a lot of fun. People were enjoying their delicious sea bass and butter cakes while others (me) were enjoying the tequila shots lol. The theme was 007 so the decorations were really cool. They provided everyone with 2026 hats, beads, blowers and a complementary glass of champagne to celebrate. This was truly the place to be on such a big night with all of my friends and I enjoyed making new friends. The perfect way to start the New Year!

    Bone in ribeye
    Andrea E.

Got some great news today, so my boyfriend and I decided to go out and celebrate. I knew I wanted a bone-in ribeye and he was also in the mood for steak, so we decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. The interior is nice and dimly lit, with a large bar and comfortable seating. It was pretty loud, but the place was packed for a Wednesday night. Our reservation was for 8 pm and we were seated right on time. The drinks were great. I had a blood orange mule, which was excellent, and my boyfriend ordered an old fashioned. For food, we ordered the pretzel bread, bone marrow, my 16 oz ribeye, a bone-in filet, mac and cheese, chipotle corn, and waffle fries. The pretzel bread was tasty, and the bone marrow itself was good, but the portion was underwhelming. There were maybe two small spoonfuls of actual marrow. My ribeye was cooked perfectly at medium rare and had a nice char, but it was severely underseasoned. It tasted like there was little to no salt on it. Even the chimichurri sauce I ordered lacked seasoning. My boyfriend's filet leaned closer to rare than medium rare and was also underseasoned. The mac and cheese was excellent and was probably my favorite part of the meal. The chipotle and lime corn was also very good. The waffle fries were just okay and not something I would order again. Overall, I would come back for drinks and maybe an appetizer or two. Unfortunately, for a place known for its steaks, they just did not deliver. I have made better ribeyes at home and have had better steaks at popular steakhouse chains.

Butterscotch budino was a delicious way to finish the meal.

This was an amazing night out. Chrissy, our server, was a delight. The Choppin dirty martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives (a must) was on point. They offer a Sancerre, a giant green flag, and the steak - black and blue (charred outside, medium rare inside) - was a perfectly marbled bone in ribeye with a dry age that more than came to play. The crab and truffle gnocchi was a lovely, if not rich, surprise and while I love that they offer a chimchurri I was surprised that it was in no way a highlight. The Cesar salad really is quite good, and we finished with an absolutely perfect end to the meal - butterscotch budino. Atmosphere is best closer to 5pm, by 7 this place is loud and packing them in. What a lovely meal and place to enjoy a celebration. Thank you to all for a wonderful experience.

Asparagus With House-made Ricotta and Honey

Excellent dinner at Blvd. Steak, with a friendly and energetic crowd handled well by a gregarious and top notch staff of bartenders and servers. As always, the mood was lively and party-rich, with everyone settling in for a fun and festive Saturday night. I ordered the 6oz ribeye cap, which was perfectly charred on the outside while being tender and cool inside. Topped with the house Chimichurri sauce, it is the star of a menu that includes various methods for preparing and perfecting your selection of beef. I ordered the Asparagus with Ricotta and Honey as a side; properly grilled and served with house made, creamy ricotta cheese that is offset by a sweet and herbaceous honey, this dish will draw you in and keep you noshing long after you've started feeling full. My wife ordered the Sautéed Shrimp, which was buttery and garlicky and, likewise, addictive. Pair all of this with wine and martinis, and you've got an A+++ dinner. Pricey? Yes. But worth every penny.

This was a delicious meal. Fun friendly staff. Excellent drinks and side dishes. I hear waygu is the way to go here. But this first visit we tried the steak frites, the steak was perfectly cooked and the soy ginger marinade was outstanding. The fries were perfectly cooked and plentiful. I got a dirty vodka martini which was perfectly balanced. Watch out for the tasty blue cheese stuffed olives, they cost $8 for 3. Overall the cocktails were excellent and fun. We also tried the pretzel bread which was fresh and soft, great with the drinks. Half dozen oysters. They were small but fresh and tasty. The mignonette is delicious, i could drink it. The dessert was good but not memorable . I would skip it next time in favor of another cocktail or side Overall good atmosphere, it was pretty lively and full when we left. Lots of street and metered parking around. I look forward to trying out the happy hour at the bar sometime.

Got a reservation on their website pretty easily -- even for a same-day Friday night at 7:30 pm, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, parking was the first challenge. There wasn't a clearly marked lot, so we circled around looking for street or neighborhood parking. They do offer valet though if you want something easier. After checking in, we were seated pretty quickly. Atmosphere was a bit noisy but still enjoyable. Our server Ryan (who was great the whole night) let us know right away that they have some off-menu items, so it's worth asking if you're curious. Once we settled in, we started ordering: Starters Bone Marrow w/ bread - 4/5 Really tasty, though I wish there was less butter on the bread and thicker slices to balance it out. Wagyu Meatball - 5/5 Perfect density, incredible sauce Caesar salad - 5/5 Croutons were the star of the show Pretzel Bread - never came We ordered it, but it never made it to the table. Realized in the car on the way home. Dinner Wagyu 10 oz Westholme Ribeye (Australia) - 5/5 Cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Dry Aged 6 oz Ribeye Cap - 5/5 Tender, rich, and super satisfying. Sauces Chimichurri - 3/5 (a bit too oily for me) Bordelaise - 3/5 (a little on the sweeter) Salmon - 5/5 Perfectly cooked -- flaky, moist, and well-seasoned. Sides Mac & Cheese - 3/5 Potatoes - 4/5, creamy and delicious Grilled Asparagus - 4/5, simple but solid Dessert Butter Cake w/ strawberries - 3/5 Good, but definitely on the sweeter side. All in all, it was a good time with solid dishes and great service.

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, I can't say anything but good, Very nice and kind food, amazing steak, delicious food

Absolutely amazing! The service was excellent, ambiance was fantastic and the food was prepared perfectly and was delicious. My absolute favorite was the crab cocktail. It tasted so fresh, nice size portion was paired very well with a Dijon mustard and cocktail sauce! The steaks and fish were cooked to order and were seasoned very well. Definitely on the pricier side however that is to be expected. Excellent quality comes at a premium and Blvd did not disappoint!!

I remembered seeing Wood & Water across the street from the Le Petit French restaurant we'd eaten at several years ago, and again while driving on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. So, I made the reservation via the Resy dining app and effortlessly secured an early dinner. Although valet service was available, we were lucky to snag an open street parking stall. Upon entering the warm, fire-lit restaurant, the jovial host greeted us and checked us in. He led us into a relatively empty dining room past the beautiful full bar. Within minutes after being seated, it seemed like the host led in a "busload" of fellow Christmas Eve revelers. Our friendly server, Michael, welcomed us, asked if we had any questions about the menus or food allergies, and then took our beverage order. After ordering cocktails and appetizers, we discussed our potential menu selections, perused their wine list, and ordered a bottle of Sangiovese. Michael was excellent about coursing our menu selections. FOOD: -Yellowtail & Watermelon Sashimi: Chili oil, Serrano, ponzu, yuzu onion. It seems that creative preparations of yellowtail or amberjack tuna sashimi are trending in LA restaurants. Wood & Water's combination of buttery yellowtail slices, tender sweet watermelon, spicy Serrano pepper slices, with a drizzle of yuzu onion sauce caught our palates. I especially appreciated the textural aspects and freshness of this appetizer. $22 -Truffle Kennebec Fries: Black summer truffles and pecorino shavings garnished the freshly made, hot, and crisp fries. The massive bowl of shoestring fries caught my husband's and his brothers' attention as we sipped our cocktails. They agreed that W&W's shoestring fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. $19 -Roasted Duck Breast: Michael confirmed the duck breast's medium-rare doneness would be okay, or if I wanted the duck breast to lean more towards rare or more fully cooked. Honestly, I'm pleased with medium-rare doneness, and that's exactly what I received. The deliciously roasted duck breast was plated atop a generous serving of wild mushroom risotto and enhanced with in-house brandied cherries. I was drawn to this dish because I like the pairing of roast duck with a fruit sauce. Although I was drawn to pistachio-crusted lamb chops, I planned to have lamb for dinner the following day. The duck breast had evenly browned, crispy skin, and its meat was tender and succulent. The in-house brandied cherries added a deep fruit flavor, which was enhanced by the warm brandy, along with subtle notes of vanilla and spices. $48 -Pork Chop: Asian Marinade, whole grain Dijon mustard mashed potatoes, quick pickled purple cabbage, and chimichurri. My husband and brother-in-law ordered this dish and were surprised by the thick 1-1/2" pork chop. They didn't think the combination of an Asian marinade would complement the other garnishes (quick-pickled purple cabbage and chimichurri). Still, apparently, after wolfing down the soft, tender, and succulent pork chop, they were proud to admit their "clean plate club membership." $44 -Pistachio-Crusted Lamb Chops: Six tender pistachio-crusted lamb chops were plated atop whipped eggplant with roasted/charred heirloom carrots. My eldest brother-in-law ordered this dish and let me sample a piece of the lamb chop. The pistachio-crusted lamb tasted luxurious and nutty, with flavor-enhancing herbs that created a pleasant savoriness. The roasted/charred heirloom carrots brought along their natural sweetness and a touch of herbaceousness from their seasonings. $62 -Peanut Butter Chocolate Turnover: Although we were all content with our meals and drinks, we were tempted to satiate our "sweet tooth." The peanut butter chocolate turnover appealed to our foursome, who wanted to share. The dessert was served warm, with the turnover's crust light and flaky, and a hot, ooey-gooey peanut butter and melted chocolate interior. The premium vanilla ice cream added an icy, creamy contrast and neutralized or mellowed the flavors of peanut butter and chocolate. $16 We're not residents, but after this dinner, my brothers-in-law and I left wondering why we hadn't tried this restaurant sooner. We'd happily return to try more of their signature cocktails and entrees for flavors, textures, presentation, and value. The service was excellent despite the huge Christmas Eve rush and crowd.

Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? This is the place to go. I loved it. (NOTE: You may have to refresh this page twice to see my pictures, for some reason. grrrrrr)

This was my first time at Tipsy Cow, and I have mixed emotions. The atmosphere is casual and…read morefestive, with TV's playing sports and a varied crowd that includes daters, older couples, families and singles making the most of their weekend. There's music that's lively without being overbearing, and the staff is uniformly friendly. But... You have to order at the bar and, though they have runners to bring your food, you do have to hunt them down for anything after the delivery (extra ketchup, etc). While this isn't my favorite system at my age, to be fair, whatever the owners are saving on staff is reflected in the prices, which are absolutely below most places in the area for food that is good-quality and drinks that are generously poured. So yes, my wife's Espresso Martini was served in a deep-bellied Belgium beer glass, and my whiskey neat was a hefty pour. Yay!! For food, I ordered the Smash Burger, which is served with melted American, grilled onions and the house version of Russian dressing (as well as pickles, which I deleted). The burgers had a nice, smashed crust while remaining juicy, the cheese was properly melted, and the grilled onions had a terrific caramelized sweetness, while the house sauce was very well-balanced: ketchupy and creamy without being too mayonnaise-heavy. A very good smasher. My wife ordered the Big Texan Burger because she wanted cheddar and frizzled onions and BBQ sauce, though she deleted the bacon and pork belly that are normally included. This, too, was a very good burger: cooked to a proper and pleasing medium-rare and well-seasoned, with a good, fresh flavor to the beef. The onion rings were less successful, which are of the beer batter type, but seemed to be a commercial, frozen product. The coating was browned but not crisp, and the flavor was relatively nondescript. We didn't really eat them, and wouldn't order them again. And so, to me, The Tipsy Cow is a bit of a mixed bag: reasonably priced decent food and reasonably priced, generously-poured drinks -- but in a mostly self-serve environment that incrementally loses its appeal in relation to your age and your dining circumstances. Certainly worth a try, but you've gotta be in the right mood.

I really try to like Tipsy Cow a lot more than I do. And, I have friends that love it here, so I…read moretry to really love it. That said, I think it's just meh. The food is just not that great. It's just "ok". For some reason I remember it being so much better but the food is just not good.
