Last night was my first time at Blvd Steak, and I had a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The seared steak was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and incredibly tender. The mashed potatoes were creamy and so good, and the crispy broccoli was hands down one of the best sides I've had. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout the entire meal, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere--upscale without feeling overly formal. It's a great spot for a date night, celebration, or just a nice dinner out. One thing I really appreciated was that it isn't a sports-bar type of place with TVs everywhere, so you can actually enjoy the ambiance and conversation. Chad Gordon (Manager Extraordinare), was a delight. I think that's the longest a manager has ever engaged our table. I look forward to speaking with him the next time we visit/dine. THE FOOD. All great choices. Pork was slightly undercooked - which is a bit understandable given how thick the pork chop was - AND the team immediately repaired it. Delish! The mango chutney was a great compliment. (Sadly, the wait staff misunderstood me when I asked to have that packed up to go, so just make sure to check your togo bag for it) Ribeye was cooked to a perfect black and blue... Which is very difficult for many steakhouses to do because it requires the steak to be at room temp In order to get the outside sear just right. Pretzel bread... You can never go wrong. Gnocchi in the cream sauce, chef's kiss. I wish we had more pretzel bread to go with the remaining sauce. We tried the rabbit cocktail, the peach mezcal mule, and the old fashioned (with Hayden Basil). All perfectly made. Joe recommended the rabbit one, and it was excellent. Do not let looks deceive you the mixologist knew what they were doing. We ended the evening by getting two desserts: sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate chip cookie. The sticky toffee pudding was not what I would call a traditional version of it. It was more of a cousin to a sticky toffee pudding; think cinnamon roll dough meats toffee drizzle on top. Tasty, but again not what we were expecting. The cookie beats any pizookie you could find. Crispy on the edges warm in the middle. Can't go wrong with a classic. We parked in the neighborhood, but there's also valet. Note that there is a dress code. So long as you don't show up in workout or yard-work clothes, you should be fine. UPDATE (June 24th, visit #2) Excited to return. This visit solidified Blvd Steak as our go-to steak house (And I've tried several LA and Vegas institutions). This vist we met Sunny. She was excellent; helpful and considerate. FOOD. Many new-to-us items 1) Asparagus Starter, w/honey & fresh ricotta. The asparagus were as thick as your thumbs, so i was anticipated needing a steak knife to eat it. NOPE! These were cooked perfectly; eat to cut and delicious to taste. 2) 14oz NY strip (black and blue) perfect cook. High quality cow. Perfectly seasoned. 3) Steak frites. Holy Moly on that 48hr marinade. Divine. Fries must be double fried, because they are perfectly crispy. This could easily be a shared plate. 4) Short rib mac&cheese. I always enjoy a mac that includes panko for a nice crunch. 5) & 6) Cocktails. We went for the bottom lines of the Cocktail menu: Blood Orange Mule (rich and cozy) and Watermelon Margarita (perfectly refreshing for a CA sunny day) 7) Butter cake with strawberries & vanilla ice cream. chef's kiss. Of course we got another pretzel bread and chocolate chip cookie. FYIs for Parents of small ones. Portions are sizable, so depending on the appetites/depth of the stomach of your LO, starters and steak frites are good share options. This spot is a vibe. Michael was amazing!! We came out to meet some family and friends. The staff was so welcoming. As soon as we walked in, the place was buzzing. Everyone around us was having a great time. We ordered the seafood tower, tuna tartar, Petite Filets, shrimp cocktail, extra oysters, braised short rib, Mac and cheese, celery piccata and a wedge salad... My favorite was the braised short rib which came with mashed potatoes, carrots and a delicious sauce. Everyone devoured all the food. The plates were licked clean. We shared everything... We also split a variety of the desserts... Molten cake, butter cake, cheesecake, and bread pudding. It was all splendid can't go wrong with any of it. Tried BLVD Steak for the first time last night with a few friends and had a great experience. We didn't have a reservation, so we grabbed seats at the bar, which ended up being AMAZING. There's valet available for $14, which is super convenient, but you can also find street parking if you get lucky. I got there a little early and started with a glass of Prosecco, then had a dirty martini that was delicious. All the steaks we had were great, but wasn't a huge fan of the sweet dressing on the NY Steak. The steak and tuna tartars were the best options on the appetizer menu. My significant other and I visited BLVD Steakhouse for the first time for my birthday. A good friend has raved about the restaurant for quite some time, so I was excited to give it a try. I enjoyed everything about the restaurant, and I look forward to going back. We had an early reservation and were seated right away upon arrival in a great booth that was spacious and had a view of the entire dining area on the side we were on. Upon being seated, our server, Jon, stopped by right away to welcome us. We had a few minutes to look at the menu, and Jon let us know about the evening's specials. We decided on a seafood tower for two, 6 oz filets, a loaded baked potato, and a lobster tail. The lobster tail was a special for the evening, at a smaller size than the usual one on the menu. Well, I must have gotten lucky because it was large to me. Everything was delicious. Once we were finished, Jon brought over a birthday dessert with a fun sparkler in it. The dessert was butter cake and ice cream, which was an enjoyable finish to the evening. Top notch steakhouse with high energy, great service, and a perfect place for a special night. We sat in the way back in a very comfortable booth (location is everything - highly recommended). Appetizers included crudo, asparagus with ricotta, and lobster skewers. A perfect start. Each of our 4 diners had steak which was fixed to our individual liking and very good, they even sliced the filet that my wife and I shared. Sides of lobster mashed, lime corn and creamed spinach were decadent but just fine for sharing. Tequila shots for the birthday celebration, cocktails and a very nice Zinfandel. We had a reservation for six, but only three of us arrived first. They still seated us right away and didn't make us wait for the rest of our group, which I really appreciated. The front was crowded, so not having to stand around was a big plus. We were seated in the back and I didn't even realize how big this restaurant was until then. From the outside, it looks smaller, but inside it's actually huge. The vibe was great. Everyone looked happy to be there. A lot of tables were celebrating birthdays too, so it felt like a fun, positive night all around. Most of us ordered steak. I got the 16 oz New York steak and loved it, but I'm also a big meat guy, so I'm a little biased. The appetizers were really good. The Wagyu meatballs, lobster mashed potatoes, and truffle fries are a must. The shrimp appetizer was also amazing and different from the usual shrimp cocktail. The creamed spinach was another favorite. Super good. The Caesar salad was fine. Not bad at all, just not the best I've ever had. Still enjoyed it. Service was excellent. Someone was always refilling our water before we even had to ask, which was perfect because I was really thirsty that night. All the servers were friendly, quick, and very attentive. Happy New Year! My husband and I came here to bring in 2026. Even though it's a restaurant, it was a still a party! There was dancing, drinking, and a lot of fun. People were enjoying their delicious sea bass and butter cakes while others (me) were enjoying the tequila shots lol. The theme was 007 so the decorations were really cool. They provided everyone with 2026 hats, beads, blowers and a complementary glass of champagne to celebrate. Got some great news today, so my boyfriend and I decided to go out and celebrate. I knew I wanted a bone-in ribeye and he was also in the mood for steak, so we decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. The interior is nice and dimly lit, with a large bar and comfortable seating. It was pretty loud, but the place was packed for a Wednesday night. Our reservation was for 8 pm and we were seated right on time. The drinks were great. I had a blood orange mule, which was excellent, and my boyfriend ordered an old fashioned. For food, we ordered the pretzel bread, bone marrow, my 16 oz ribeye, a bone-in filet, mac and cheese, chipotle corn, and waffle fries. The pretzel bread was tasty, and the bone marrow itself was good, but the portion was underwhelming. There were maybe two small spoonfuls of actual marrow. My ribeye was cooked perfectly at medium rare and had a nice char, but it was severely underseasoned. It tasted like there was little to no salt on it. Even the chimichurri sauce I ordered lacked seasoning. My boyfriend's filet leaned closer to rare than medium rare and was also underseasoned. The mac and cheese was excellent and was probably my favorite part of the meal. The chipotle and lime corn was also very good. The waffle fries were just okay and not something I would order again. Overall, I would come back for drinks and maybe an appetizer or two. Unfortunately, for a place known for its steaks, they just did not deliver. This was an amazing night out. Chrissy, our server, was a delight. The Choppin dirty martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives (a must) was on point. They offer a Sancerre, a giant green flag, and the steak - black and blue (charred outside, medium rare inside) - was a perfectly marbled bone in ribeye with a dry age that more than came to play. The crab and truffle gnocchi was a lovely, if not rich, surprise and while I love that they offer a chimchurri I was surprised that it was in no way a highlight. But this first visit we tried the steak frites, the steak was perfectly cooked and the soy ginger marinade was outstanding. The fries were perfectly cooked and plentiful. I got a dirty vodka martini which was perfectly balanced. Watch out for the tasty blue cheese stuffed olives, they cost $8 for 3. Overall the cocktails were excellent and fun. BLVD Steak is a decent spot. It's not bad but it isn't good either. My friend and I came for a birthday celebration and ordered appetizers. I think I was thrown off by the meatball sauce - it was similar to a gravy and not necessarily marinara or vodka sauce. The bottled water ended up being $10 which was more than the bread service. Like how is that okay? It was whatever but not memorable enough for me to visit again. Also, the security guard wasn't very friendly and copped an attitude when I asked a simple question about street parking. Lots of Wagyu options. Another standout was the Porkchop. All 3 salads on the menu were excellent. Great service and no reason not to return. Manager came out to check on us, and the wait staff were extremely attentive. Great bar / cocktails especially with Tequilas and Japanese whiskey. A little light on Bourbons. This vibey steak spot on Ventura Blvd was such a fun spot for a Saturday night out! Our waiter Craig was outstanding and created a very memorable and special evening. We dined in the back area which was dark and moody and the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening. Drinks were great! I love that the Martinis are poured tableside in a shaker, nice touch! The crab cake was good, on the sweeter side. The wedge salad was on the lighter side, but quite tasty. The mashed potatoes were really good, but the Australian wagyu rib eye stole the show. We had a gift card to this so we decided to try it out. Making a reservation online was super easy and straightforward. Our server was quick to come by to take our drink orders and left enough time for us to think over what we wanted to get. I ordered the Faroe Island Salmon ($46) and the Caesar Salad ($19). I've also tried the Waffle Fries ($16) and the 6 oz Petit Filet ($59). The caesar salad was so good and the croutons were seasoned that they definitely tasted completely different from any other ones that I've had before. Since there were 2 of us they were even able to split the salad onto 2 plates so that we could each get our own smaller plate. The salmon and the filet came next. I actually liked the salmon over the filet. Both were super tender, but the salmon had that nice crispy skin and didn't really need the creole butter, but did get better with the lemon juice. The filet I felt was a bit bland and needed the chimichurri sauce to pair with it. It could also use just a little bit more salt to add some more of the flavor. The waffle fries were also very good though, and they seasoned it perfectly. It came with a side of ranch and ketchup, although I preferred it with the ketchup over the ranch. They gave a ton of fries though and we even had to take half of it to go, so it was more worth the money. Service was great. We were constantly getting checked up on and our waters were consistently being filled after nearly every sip. Our plates would be quickly cleared out and the food was brought out at reasonable times. We got everything that we requested in a timely manner and the whole visit went smoothly. Surprisingly I like the fish better than the steak here. The side dishes that we had were also good so I think it's worth visiting. This spot is a vibe. We reserved a table for 8. My best friend Cali and I came out to meet some family and friends. The staff was so welcoming. As soon as we walked in, the place was buzzing. Everyone around us was having a great time. We ordered the seafood tower, tuna tartar, Petite Filets, shrimp cocktail, extra oysters, braised short rib, Mac and cheese, celery piccata and a wedge salad... My favorite was the braised short rib which came with mashed potatoes, carrots and a delicious sauce. Everyone devoured all the food. The plates were licked clean. We shared everything... We also split a variety of the desserts... Molten cake, butter cake, cheesecake, and bread pudding. It was all splendid can't go wrong with any of it. My gotos would be the butter cake and bread pudding. Our server Will was fantastic. He didn't miss a beat. We appreciate all the staff for doing such an amazing job. We were able to just focus on catching up and laughing while all our needs were met. Just Thank You BLVD for making the evening so memorable. read more
