I have been a Taco Bell freak since undergrad and my recent experience here was not so bad. The food quality is not too bad but I could appreciate it if the staff who makes the food put a little more elbow grease into my order. Somehow I feel like they are not meeting the optimal level that I wanted in terms of food taste. The Taco Bell near my flat did better than them. Unacceptable in terms of cooking. I find this Taco Bell to be decent. It is, well, a Taco Bell. The customer service is not that great, and there are some shady people in the area. The vibe is not that great. I always enjoy the vegetarian options that they have to offer. I really like the black bean crunchwrap supreme and the black bean soft shell tacos. They satisfy my fast food craving once in a while. Overall, I would recommend this TacoBell. I caution you to be safe if you go inside to get your food, as there are always people asking for food and money. I recall when this was just a straight Taco Bell. This was before they were sued for labor practice violations (Pay for hours worked, denying break periods.) Then, Peps, the parent company decided to put Taco Bell, and KFC under the Yum Brands subdivision. At any rate, the KFC biscuits were good and I liked the Mexican Pizza were good. Even though I stated I was going to dine in, I got my order in a brown paper bag. I had my meal in the lobby, yet it is unacceptable that they do not provide trays. Not having trays available is a current trend with fast food establishments recently. Using a paper bag, to me is wasteful of resources. Yes, the bags are likely made from recycled paper, still, when a tray can be used multiple times while we put the paper bag nto the trash bin. read more

I mean it's Taco Bell, it sucks generally. Especially living in a city with taco time--But sometimes you forget to eat until 4pm and get desperate. This is by far the worst Taco Bell of all time. Of. All. Time. Every time I have been to this Taco Bell they forget an item or screw something up. Every time I've ever ordered a box and ask for chips instead of cinnamon twists it'll be on the receipt, but not correct in the box. You have two choices when you visit this Taco Bell, you either have to be that horrible person that sits at the drive-through window looking through their bag to make sure they got everything, or you have to go back through the drive-through to get the items that were missing after you drove off. It's ridiculous. Customer service is also HORRIBLE here. I know your job sucks but you make more an hour than I did working in the ER in Oregon. Can you at least say hi? Or apologize when you forget items with a running average of 57.2% of the time?! Not to mention the food is wack as well. I miss 90s Taco Bell. Every time I visit this location they get something horribly wrong. This time it was how much I paid. The cashier mumbled my total at me without repeating the order so I hand him my card just for him to start handing me food that was not mine. When I tell him it's not mine he then goes back and forth with a girl at the window about who's fault it was, tells me he'll fix it, and then doesn't give me a receipt. I get home and check my bank account to see I've paid $40 for 1 burrito and a nacho fry....yippee!!! I call asking if there's a way for them to refund and he tells me I need to come all the way back to the store for that to happen. Now I'm extra pissed cause I was already there and they didn't say anything like they would just get away with it...Overall I hate this location and it has always underwhelmed me but this really took the cake. I've been hesitant to post a review because I frequent this location quite a lot. Every time has been a great service and experience. The only thing I want to point out, and I know this may seem strange but depending on the day you order here, the amount of filling in your tacos or burritos will vary. If you order later in the evening it is a light amount of protein and more lettuce. In the early afternoon the amount of protein is so much every taco splits and falls apart. Over all, this place sits next to one of the best dispensaries in Seattle and I would recommend it to everyone for pre-muchie snacks. After stopping by Zips too! I called and the manager on the phone said he wrote down my name and will replace my order once I come in. I just come in to get my order replaced and he told me my name was not on the list so no they won't replace my order. He told me he didn't really care. I'm appalled. I don't know why this place has such a bad rating. Yes, there are a lot of bums nearby, but what are they supposed to do about it? Pack up the restaurant and move? Lmfao. I love this location. I live 3 minutes away from the Mercer street location, but I always go out of my way to visit this location instead. The staff is very friendly, and they ALWAYS honor my request for fresh food! The manager always ask me how my day is going, and the cashiers/staff always get my order right. Taco Bell had a $5 steak nachos box deal going on last month, and this location gave THE BEST portion size! I ordered the steak nachos box at 3 other locations, and they were extremely skimpy on the steak and nacho cheese sauce. I don't know why the employees just don't read the extra writing on the tickets that print up. Every time I try to order food after 9:30-9:45 pm I'm told they're closed even though they close at 10 pm. When asked what time they close, they say 10 pm and when I say it's 9:50 pm, they say "they closed early tonight." The Apple cup was starting in a couple of hours and in the SODO AREA ( South of the Dome) Centurylink field area.. people had started to tailgate and gather for the pregame partying. I decided on Taco Bell. On their menu if you get one of their specialty meals you can add on a Mexican pizza for 2.65 regular price is 3.31. I ordered and paid with my card and went and stood to wait. While waiting, I was looking at the menu and I asked the cashier that when you choose the specialty meal does it automatically charge you the add on price? He said he didn't know and would check after pushing different buttons on the register he said that NO it didn't, I asked for a refund of the difference, He said ok hold on and got the manager Reggie. Reggie came out and I explained what happened. He stated that they had removed the buttons from their registers for that add on and that it was the higher price. I said well then they should cover the menu up over the spot with the option. I asked if the nacho add on was gone as well? He looked and said oh yes. I said that's wrong, if you cant choose that option, you should tell people its full price before adding it. He said it was a typo and he was sorry. I asked again for the difference back. He offered me a free taco. I said I didn't want any more food, I wanted to be charged for what it said the price was! He said NO.. I looked at him and said then fine, I want a full refund. He said for the Mexican pizza? and I said NO, the entire order. He said ok it's a typo I said its not a typo, the corporation has changed prices and you do not let the customers know. I asked if he wanted my card back to process the refund he said no he would give me cash. I said you wont give be the difference back but you will give me 26 back in cash. I said you are willing to lose an entire order over that. He said that's what I asked for.. I said no, I wanted the difference in what I should have paid. At this point.. and keep in mind when I walked in there was 1 person in front of me.. and no one else in line behind me.. One of the workers was excited and telling the people in the lobby how they were preparing meals for the teams.. and that they did it at the last game too. During the transaction another gentleman had come in. At this point.. this gentleman, who had the appearance of being dirty and possibly homeless. Looked at me and got mad and said hey we have things we need to do.. its 2 dollars... you need 2 dollars.. here I have things to do.. and tried to shove money at me. I GOT PISSED.. I normally don't stand up for myself and get pretty meek in public stuff like this.. but I had had it.. I said.. you need to back up... I don't want your money.. I just want to be charged the correct price. I guess I was loud..cuz his eyes opened wide and he backed up. At this point Reggie.. Apologized to him for the inconvenience. REALLY.. you are charging me the wrong price and not working with me and then apologizing for your corporate mistake and attitude to the homeless man in line. I got my refund back and left. I went to the Taco bell that I normally go to and explained what happened and the manager there said no they should have been able to give the difference back.. they are owned by the same family and have the same policies. Taco Bell should be ashamed of themselves as they seem to have forgotten they're in the FAST food business. I commend the three employees they had working April 30th during the lunch hour. I entered the restaurant at 12:30PM and walked out with my food at 1:05PM. That doesn't mean I ate it, that means 1:05PM is when I received my food and took it with me. I was one of 15 customers who were waiting for their food. I will give it to the customers, no one complained as to how long it took to receive their food, as they could see there were only three people doing all the work including the drive-up window. Taco Bell should give those three hard working and loyal employees a raise as the company doesn't deserve them. PS The Tortada is boring and was on the skimpy side as portions go. read more
