Cannot go wrong with tacos chukis. Their prices have gone up but I'd say it's still reasonable. Today I went and got a total of 6 tacos, a torta, a baby burrito, and jamaica drink for $33, which was enough for 2 people. Service was nice and I love the local art on the walls.
Finding parking here is so hard. But it's worth it for the pollo tacos with cheese and pineapple. I wish they delivered!! Genuinely some of the best tacos I've ever had.
I asked the cook if he could give me my tacos "con la tortilla dorada " he said not a problem and shook his head as he understood. He gave me effin Tostadas! The tortillas were so hard and dry, he clearly did NOT understand what Dorada means! It means toasted with a little grease oil from the meat. The meat was flavorless and did not help the hard tooth breaking taco! Overall a horrible experience for my first time. Never coming here again! Don't waste your money!
This is essentially a taco staple when you're in Seattle, or at least something almost every Seattleite knows about. For this location, you'll most likely have to use street parking, which is rough to find on a Saturday night around 5pm. You order your food at a kiosk near the kitchen which you can see when you're inside. There's several tables to seat people, and everything else is self-serve from the utensils to the water. I ordered a multida asada, multida frijoles, quesadilla asada and a taco frijoles. For all of this, I was quite full and it ended up being a little over $18 after tax. The steak is done to perfection on every single one, and there's a hint of spicy in some of them, which I love. This place is both tasty and affordable in general, so this is a high recommend!
Theoretically this shouldv'e been good. I really wanted to like the place because the "brand" is so well know here in Seattle. And the background story of how Tacos Chukis got started is great. But if I hadn't read about the restaurant's origin story, I would've pegged this as another "gentrified" taco place since street tacos have become mainstreamed. I've walked by and seen this place totally packed. But I was underwhelmed by the quality. I had one each pollo, adobada, and asada taco. The pollo was very dry. And the adobada and asada were not particulalry tender and seemed ovecooked. The tortillas were chewy, kind of dry and leathery. I kind of felt like I was eating leftovers. I did eat at a slightly off-peak time, around 2pm, so maybe they were actually leftovers from the lunch rush. I like the option of ordering from the tablet on one side of the restaurant. And if I wanted to order takeout, I'd take advantage of the online ordering. But I don't think the quality is there. Next time, I'm going to walk another block and hit Carnitas Michoacan which is outstanding. When I spend money of food I want it to be very good to outstanding, not just ok.

Love this location! Weekday lunch consisted of my go to: two Taco Chukis and a Chicken Baby Burrito with cheese. The food came out quickly, was freshly made and very tasty. This location is close to my work in SoDo, so it's easy to get to. There's free street parking, you just have to go look for it. There was a steady stream of people coming in during the lunch hour. It was a relaxing vibe where I got to enjoy my meal without feeling rushed. The Station coffee shop is around the corner if you want a coffee afterwards. Only negative thing I have to say is the soda machine was out of service, so I wasn't able to get my own glass of water and purchased a bottled water instead.
Best street tacos in Seattle! Ordered the carne asada tacos and the mulitas. Flavor is on point with great seasoning on the beef, excellent salsa and all the toppings. I also highly recommend the mulita which is 2 tortillas stuffed with meat, cheese, salsa. Tacos Chukis is usually busy but they are pretty quick with the service. The place is clean with good tables and they even have a few outdoor seats as well. These tacos are simply the best and a must visit if you are looking for some of the best Mexican food in the area
right off the bat, i really liked the price of these tacos-- right around $3 per taco is excellent for this area. taste wise, i'd say that while it's not necessarily the best taco i've had in my life, it stands out as excellent for the price, with the meats being nicely portioned with a good texture. i was impressed with the guac sauce included and each taco goes great with a squeeze of lime. my only note is that some of the meat in the tacos were a touch dry due to the small cuts of the meat, but this isn't a dealbreaker for me personally. service: the tacos were brought out reasonably fast even when the restaurant is crowded, and i appreciate that they have good order ahead and curbside pickup support. ambiance: seating is nice inside and the ambiance is fun and casual. overall: this place scratches the taco or burrito itch while providing great value and good taste for that value! 8/10 for the taste alone, 10/10 for the price! also cheers to being the first place i ate at after moving to seattle.
Tacos Chukis is just as good as I remember! Must visit when in Seattle. I got carne asada and al pastor taco chukis. Love how they have pineapple and guac!! Everything made fresh and tastes soo yummy! Service was super quick. Ambiance was fast paced. They had nice music too. Price is not bad. The meats were flavorful and juicy. I enjoyed my tacos and will definitely be back!
I ordered takeout from Tacos Chukis on a Saturday night, right around prime dinnertime. To my surprise, the service was super fast, as I only had to wait around 10 minutes for my groups food. I ordered the house tacos. The house tacos came with 2 soft shell tortillas, which I am a huge fan of. They were all really well balanced, with each one being neither too salty nor mild, with just the right amount of flavor and freshness. Each taco was crowned with a chunk of grilled pineapple, which I really liked, as it provided a nice balance of acidity and sweetness! Overall, the tacos here were pretty good, but a bit on the expensive side considering their small size. Would reccomend though!
Tacos Chukis packs a punch for street style tacos! I would recommend the tacos over anything. ($2.50 - $2.95, +.15 for pineapple). The Adobada and pollo were delicious! Loved all the components including the guacamole salsa. Mini burritos are $4 each. They also have nopales, tortas, and quesadillas! Definitely get the grilled pineapple on top (a MUST), the sweetness makes it super unique! They're super fast if you order online. Packaged so carefully too!
Visiting from California, I was skeptical when my friend took me to a Seattle taco shop, but the food here was outstanding! First and foremost, everything is made to order, and the staff is very friendly. It's a small menu: tacos, baby burritos, tortas, and mulitas with a few protein options, but everything they make is delicious! Also, you can't be the prices, less than $3 a taco!

I've had many tacos. Most of them street tacos. It's been a while since I've been to a restaurant for one. Tacos chukis satisfies a craving, but it doesn't necessarily hit the spot for me. They are not as flavorful as I would like, but they are decent. This location is quite small and cozy. Can get pretty loud inside and tight. I decided to sit outside with my party which is nice on a good weather. There's a tablet to order food from and you grab a number. They bring the food out, but you bus the table. read more

My go-to taco spot in seattle. Parking is very easy. It has a nice informal and clean ambiance. The house tacos are the best. The meat in them (the pork) is very good. The house tacos also come with pineapple on top. It's a great combination. read more

Tacos Chukis has been on my radar to try for quite some time, and thought that there was no better time to give this place a try when swinging by Beacon Hill on a Wednesday night! We went around 7pm and the location currently wasn't too busy - we ordered, seated ourselves, and got our food around 10 minutes total. I got a variety of taco meats in my tacos - trying the Adobada, Pollo, Asada, and as well as the House taco. All the meats had pretty tasty profiles, a bit smoky and seasoned well - I would say my personal favorite of the three options was the Adobaba pork! I also tried Mulitas, and I would say this is one of my favorite things that I have tried thus far here - the cheese is a delicious addition to a already yummy taco. This is definitely a good place if you are looking to try a variety of food - as it is only $2.50 per taco! It personally would take me like 6-8 tacos to fill up, and that's pretty reasonable to get that many for $20. I would definitely like to come back in the future to try the other options on the menu - likely the baby burrito or the quesadilla as they are calling my name. Tacos Chukis has very quickly become my destination for tacos. Their specialty, the tacos chukis, is probably the best item on their menu, sporting pork with onions, cheese, cilantro, some green sauce (a salsa'd guacamole I presume) and a small slice of pineapple. All in all, surprisingly filling, very tasty few bites per taco. Tacos Chukis is one of those places that does just a few things, but does them really, really, well. Their speed of service is also incredibly quick so make sure you order when you're already on the well so the food is hot and fresh! read more
What can you say? Good tacos. Good price. Fast. These are street style tacos so if you are expecting American large portions this isn't your place. In fact I laugh they call it a 'baby burrito' because I think it's actually the appropriate size! I prefer the pork tacos here and that is what is in the Chuki style. This location has a small amount of table seating that I could imagine in a busy day would be hard to snag a table. Anyhow this is a great taco stop for lunch or dinner. read more

Everyone in the greater Seattle area has to know about Tacos Chukis imo and they have multiple locations too. It's one of my favorite joints for tacos as service is always speedy and rather cheap, good eats! The quality and taste is essentially consistent every single time and I've been here many, many times! I don't branch out often and always get the carne asada tacos + pineapple sometimes, and my sister loves the house tacos. The quesadillas are also so delicious when I am craving something heavier and cheesy! read more

Wanted to give them a 4 but as you walk in you see the Trumpo or Spit is not being used. Flavor wise everything was delicious but nothing to write home about. The gentleman at the counter was super nice and just based on price alone it should be 4 stars. I don't know if this location is different from the original but this is the one I chose. Ambiance is nice with a clean establishment. If I ever ran into another location I would check them out but would not go out of my way to find one. read more
I came after a long day of work and was so glad this shop was literally steps away from the lightrail station and the bus stop. I must say, I loved, LOVED this place in Capital Hill. My friend put me on and could not stop raving about the house taco. Who can resist a deliciously sweet pineapple grilled as a garnish for a delicious pork taco? I think this idea is genius and really does put top it off well! However, this location seems to miss the mark for me. I admire how they strive to make your food fresh, so it's prepared only when you order... but the food was a no-go for me. The tacos were pretty bland, and tasted reheated too many times. It wasn't fork tender, but more so, it was a little old for my liking. The customer service is helpful and welcoming, but the lack of quality in the food just wasn't it for me. The location is a bit small, but really convenient when you want something quick and fairly priced. Tacos are about $2.50 and up and they also have baby burritos, quesadillas, tortas, and tacos. They also sell agua frescas too. Overall, good for a quick bite, but definitely does not taste like the original location. Would stop by again if I needed something to hold me down, but don't expect anything too flavorful or wow-ing. read more
Overall, Taco Chukis was okay and it did it's job to curb my hunger, but to be honest, I'm not sure I would come back anytime soon. I can definitely find better street tacos elsewhere but Taco Chukis is convenient if you're in the Beacon Hill area. I tried the quesadilla, pork and beef tacos. To be honest, the quesadilla wasn't particularly special and they didn't offer any regular hot sauce, without paying extra for it. Food wise, the tacos were a bit spicier than I personally liked it because it was drenched with salsa, unfortunately masking the meat. Overall, the tacos were still flavorful but the ingredient proportions could have been better balanced. The customer service and general atmosphere wasn't particularly special, as well, in my opinion. The employees were more indifferent and not overly welcoming. Here's a small example: The ice machine ran out and when I asked for ice because the machine was broken, the guy sent me back to the broken ice machine and dismissed me. When I tried to explain again that it was broken, he mumbled something (almost like I was bothering him), and pushed me back to the broken machine again. He started talking to the customer behind me to take their order, so I walked back confused to my table. About 5-10 minutes later, he finally came out with a bucket of ice but by that time. Ultimately, I would have been fine with no ice if it was better communicated by the staff in a way that didn't make me feel like they didn't care. read more

Why is it so hard to find good tacos in Seattle?? (To be fair, I'm from CA where Mexican food is really really good...) The pictures of the tacos at Chukis looked so good and the name is so fun that I decided to try it out. The menu is pretty simple and typical: they have tacos, baby burritos, quesadillas, mulitas, and tortas. For meats, you can pick from carne asada, pollo asada, adobada, nopales (cactus), and frijoles (beans). Their special house taco is the adobada with cheese and grilled piña. I ordered a house taco, carne asada, and nopal. And horchata. The lady who took my order was really nice. The house taco was pretty good, but it kinda had a lot going on. It has too much stuff on it. But it was tasty and the best of the three tacos I ordered. The meat on the carne asada was really dry. No bueno. And the nopal taco was interesting. But kinda on the plain side. The house taco and horchata were good but those two weren't enough to warrant a second visit from me. Especially since parking is difficult around here. Bus your own tables. And the soda cups are compostable which is cool. I guess I'll keep looking for the best street tacos in Seattle. read more

Glad to have Tacos Chukis, walking distance to my bestie's place on Beacon Hill! Actually, it's quite dangerous. Now every time I go to his place, I'll make my way to Tacos Chukis before or after, or drag him along with me! As if you couldn't already tell, I am a huge fan of Tacos Chukis. The house tacos are all you really need to know and eat from here. The corn tortillas with soft and juicy pork, housemade guac and a grilled pineapple is absolutely divine. Something about it just makes me crave it over and over as soon as I bite into one of these bad boys. If you're only going to get one item here, then make it a house taco! BUT, everything is good here, from the baby burritos to the fresh watermelon juice! My personal favorite is the quesadilla with three house tacos. All of this can be had for less than $15, with tip and all. This particular location is conveniently located across the Beacon Hill Light Rail Station and other businesses. Place is well-lit, clean and feels a lot more spacious than the space actually is. Staff was also very friendly here; and for to-go orders, you never have to wait long because the assembly line in the kitchen is diligently completing orders to satisfy your Tacos Chukis needs. Glad to have one of my favorite taco eateries in a neighborhood I visit often. read more
Who doesn't like tacos? Especially when it comes served with a chunk of grilled juicy pineapple? Tacos Chukis is my favorite spot for tacos in Seattle. Their menu is so simple, yet all the items are worth raving about. I've been to the Cap Hill location a handful of times, but this was my first visit to the new Beacon Hill spot, I must say - it's much cleaner and less crowded - due to it being in a residential area. I typically order 3-4 taco chukis - which is plenty filling for me. I love all their meat options, but I tend to favor the carne asada. Portions are huge, and meat is juicy and tender. Plus the pineapple is probably the best part of it all. Their tortas are also super yummy and it can probably serve two meals! read more

Food is good. I tried one pork, one beef and one cactus taco. I liked the beef a lot; just enough heat. The cactus was also quite good. They chop, or dice the cactus; pretty tasty - kind of tart, but good. The pork taco came with a slice of pineapple on it. Hesitant, I tried it - not for me. I took the remainder of the pineapple off. It was good, but least enjoyable of the three. Prices very reasonable, clean but not much atmosphere. Across the street from light rail (Beacon Hill), open until 10. read more
What are you doing reading this? Just eat here already!! If you're hesitant- don't even. Taco Chukis is literally a household name by now and you're missing out if you haven't tried. Their tacos are flavorful with each bite packing so much flavor. I never had grilled pineapples in my tacos but now it's become a staple and I cannot go without. read more
