Taco Bell, Oakhurst: 2024 Jan 9 (3.25 of 5) Taco Tuesday sees us getting our dinner at Taco Bell. There was no queue at the drive-through. We got our order of Party Pack in fairly quickly. It took longer to wait for the food than it was to place our order. I opened the box to make sure we were given the correct order. That's when I noticed the sauce packets were sticky when I picked one up. When we got home, I submerged them in cold water to clean the packets out. Thank goodness none of the packets leaked. The food - as usual - was okay. Nothing to write home about. These are tummy-fillers when we get too busy to cook. Overall, I'd say the service was good, but the food was mediocre.

Ate there today the taco was as expected. But the chicken nuggets, uhh I got an overpriced 5 piece and for one was over priced for what I got and I know the cook felt the same way because they gave me 6 over cooked micro nuggets instead of 5. I got pulled into the advertisement how good they were and shame on me for falling for it. Taco Bell stay in your lane with just the tacos and nacho fry's. I would have drove back but I was 10 miles out of town by then. One last thing . Again I did not get hot sauce like you asked if I wanted and I said yes.

My family arrived in Oak hurst and ate here for cheap breakfast on a Saturday morning in October. The place was dead. We ordered on self order computer $1 menu-breakfast taco and hash brown. We waited for our order and it taste good for the price. The place looked clean.

I've eaten at a many of Taco Bell and this one is epic! Not sure why other people are giving it sus reviews... food was the best I think I've ever had a Taco Bell. Everything fresh and piping hot! 10/10

Does anyone even work there? The drive up has no one taking orders. Sat there for 10 minutes then drove off. What a failure

I wasn't expecting to find a Mexican restaurant like this in a smaller town, but I'm glad we stopped by! We ordered the chicken flautas, al pastor quesadilla, and albondigas soup. The chicken flautas were good, but I felt like they were missing a little something. I think having some salsa or guacamole on the side would have made them even better, though the hot sauce they provided did the job. Unfortunately, the albondiga soup wasn't my favorite. I found it a little bland and wished it had more flavor. The real star of the meal was the al pastor quesadilla! The meat was incredibly flavorful and juicy, and it was so good that I still think about it. The ambiance was nice, with a theme that fit the restaurant well, making it a nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Our server was also really friendly, and the service was good overall. Overall, Pazuelas is a solid place to stop for a meal if you're passing through Oakhurst, especially on your way to Yosemite. Just make sure to try the Al Pastor quesadilla!

I think I'd personally prefer an actually patty so I can get medium instead of smashed which is more medium-well or well done. The smash fries were also good. Odd thing to stand out, but the Coke here was so good. It's rare to get a really good Coke now and days, but this was perfect. Server was good and friendly. The space is very bar like and a little dark for my liking, but hey that's me. Still will come by after every trip here:) thank you for the fresh ingredients and friendliness.

(5 of 5) Fish & Chips: Today's classic dish of the British Isles has a good crunch on the batter and a delicate buttery interior, but could use more seasoning. The potato chips were managed and fried well. A dash of salt put this over the top. The coleslaw had a different texture and taste that I'm not familiar with so I'm not a fan. (4 of 5) Mushroom Swiss Burger (1/3 pound ground beef patty seasoned, topped with mushroom, swiss cheese & grilled onion on a brioche bun): The warm, buttery sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese add a creamy texture that marries well with the savoury beef patty. Together, they created a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. (5 of 5) Lemonade: My lemonade was refreshing - with enough acidity and sweetness. (5 of 5) Ice-cream: Not just any ice-cream, but Thrifty Ice-Cream. I remember going to Thrifty just to get their ice-cream. The Hitching Post carries 12 flavours of Thrifty ice cream. We had the Chocolate and Butter Pecan in large waffle cones. Most ice-cream these days are overly sweet - and that's all you taste - just plain sugar. Somehow, Thrifty Ice Cream has a sweet, creamy, and deeply nostalgic taste, with a rich, dense texture. We're definitely going back for the ice-cream. I'd heard about the place, and had always wanted to try it. I really, really enjoyed the experience. Most delightful dinner I've had in a long time. I can't wait to go back. I say these things because I'm going to have a couple negatives to go along with the praise, and I want to make it clear that I highly recommend the place as a fun, enjoyable dining experience. First, I'll go over the plusses. The view of the lake is serene and enjoyable. Really makes for an enjoyable dining experience. Call it Tahoe Junior. I highly recommend the bottom level of the restaurant, which has an elevated menu with higher pricing over the top level casual dining. Better aesthetics and menu make it worth it. They also do have a bargain menu of smaller portions if you can live with smaller portions. (Not me, lol.) You can see the menu at their site. Prices are typical Nicer eatery level. ($50+.) I had the ribeye. Typical quality. Well prepared. Featured a NICE proprietary blue cheese butter spread. Umm, yummy! I want more! Also loved the peach ice tea. More yummy. I overdose everything in sweetener, so I recommend that. Staff was first rate. Darn near everything about the visit was great from start to finish. Now for my negatives... The bread was these Tiny little slices of (I suppose) Italian bread. I wasn't familiar with it. Perhaps it's a standard four-bite bread type. Certainly didn't work for me. Bite-size is not really what I want in dinner bread... Veggies were bleh. Broccolini and carrots. Did nothing for me. We now come to the big disappointment and the Offense... No baked potato, but mashed potatoes! I can't recall the last time I ordered a quality steak that came with mashed potatoes instead of a BAKED potato! "No big deal," I thought. "I'll order a baked potato." The Up Charge was $9! You heard that right. NINE DOLLARS to swap baked for mashed! I might expect $9 for a potato at Ruth's Chris, but gosh! NINE DOLLARS?! The whole table was offended. That did not ruin the meal for us. We all enjoyed it and planned to return, but we ALL thought NINE DOLLARS for a potato--and we're not talking a huge one either, though it was decent in size--was insane. Absolutely insane. Fixins did not include bacon bits, which surprised me, but not every place offers them so okay. That's it. Full dinner and drinks for 4 was a bit under $300. Enjoyed ourselves, going back, but we don't understand the outrageous price on the potato. Tagging the visit at a 4, and recommending Ducey's. Be prepared for mashed... Shown--dinner and the $9 potato :)

When we were seated we were then told that the kitchen was extremely backed up and it wouldn't be another 45+ minutes until they can even take our order. We were starving by the time we finally got our food, everything was fried since we decided to get their sampler platter and fried calamari. The food was pretty decent, I think I just got sick of it pretty fast because everything felt very heavy. I would probably only come back for the views next time I'm in the area, and get some drinks and light apps!
