Felt I should leave a review as a heads up, as my visit to this location was a refresher on the value of checking expiration dates on items before purchasing. Wouldn't have left a review if it was only one or two, but unfortunately there were quite a few items in both the dairy and meat department that I had to skip out on or dig through to find in-date ones. Definitely understand that this is a smaller volume location and some products won't sell as fast, but just a reminder to management and fellow shoppers to be diligent about checking dates of items, especially in the dairy and meat departments. read more

We went to Raleys to eat rather than the busy restaurants and the way to Tioga Pass/Mammoth from Fresno area. We not only bought groceries but some delicious deli dinner which was fantastic! We were able to sit right in the cafe portion of the store and eat a plentiful meal including the delicious dessert as part of the meal. Creme Brulee which is created in the bakery. Thank you to the hospitality of the very awesome employee at the deli at Raleys. The foods of the store also carry many international items for the patrons that come from outside of the USA. I'd never been to a Raley's before my recent trip to Yosemite. My tour group stopped here so we could pick up sandwiches and last minute snacks for our adventure. The staff was pretty friendly, and their deli counter would have been busy even if we didn't add nine extra customers. Wow- what a value! $6.99 for a monster deli sandwich. I got the dagwood. We were all impressed by the size of our sandwiches. Great deal for sure and they were perfect for a quick picnic. This was also a great spot to stop to get other essentials (like bug spray and sun screen) for our trip. I also loved the assortment of single protein bars. Service was quick, some employees were nicer than others, but everyone worked together to get us back on the road quickly. read more

We have been shopping here for about 8 years. There are many things here I prefer over Vonn's. We've been Raley's shoppers in the Bay Area for 20+ years so it was natural to shop here after our move to YLP. I was very disturbed last week when I went in to use the ladies room. Frankly, it's never been the cleanest but this time? Horrifying. This was most unsanitary, dirty disgusting mess. I was shocked, as clearly, during the week when there are not a lot of people & during fires that prevent tourists, this bathroom should have been clean & hadn't been cleaned for sometime. It was overall dirty, with the nice little flower piece that was on the sink area wilting & old. But the toilets were disgusting & garbage should not overflow. I had to enter 3 stalls before finding anything acceptable. Had I been from the state I'd have nailed the manager at this Raley's to the wall. Please do better!!! read more

The produce department has only the freshest fruits and vegetables, and the staff that maintain it are extremely helpful and always cheerful. The meat department only has the freshest and tastiest meats, fish and the Raleys chicken breasts are superior!!! The deli department makes the best sub sandwiches in town, with fresh ingredients and soft rolls at a reasonable price!!! (buy them here for your trip to Yosemite). Prices seem a bit higher than grocery stores in less remote places, but that's to be expected. The butcher at the meat department was helpful. We picked up some fried chicken to bring for day 2 of Yosemite on a Saturday evening in October. Raley's is popular in Sacramento area so no surprise there is one in Oakhurst. It's similar to pavilions which food prices are higher. The aisles are well stocked and clean. The fried chicken taste good even though it wasn't hot. read more

Raleys is a good grocery store. It is a smaller grocery store, but still has lots of products. The prices there though are high if you buy a lot of things. The service is really good there, and they are helpful. I would suggest going grocery shopping there. read more

Employee who aren't checkers are on the rude side. Checkers move and interact like robots whose batteries are running low. There is ZERO speed thus long, slow moving lines. There MIGHT be one bagger, on a good day, who then disappears to wrangle carts. I wish self check could find a way around checking out alcohol because the checkout is much more efficient and friendly when I do it myself. On vacation from the East Coast traveling between national parks. Raley's has been a welcome sight along our rout. The hot bar and grab and go food is a good deal and readily available. We are also able to stock up on essentials and water in one strop. The grocery store is slightly above the National average in cleanliness and selection. That being said, it's not Wegman's and certainly not a Whole Foods. This chain is a solid and reliable grocery store. The wraps we got were a little skimpy on the filling but hit the spot and an affordable cost. read more

Clean facility, friendly helpful staff, plenty of options, very well stocked. Big private parking lot. Everything about Raley's is easy and convenient. We are here visiting just to go to Yosemite. We saw Vons down the street but decided to swing by Raley's instead. Just seemed more authentic and off the beaten road for us. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a mix of Whole Foods type of products with a mix of Vons. I will say that they unfortunately don't have many deals, everything is a fixed price, but I think it's reasonably priced. Produce was fresh and priced at LA prices or slightly cheaper. Loved that the bakery makes Almond Poppy Seed muffins. I've never seen that before. Super excited to try those. read more

Ok, this place is quite obviously pricey. Specially when you compare the same things they have to vons. But I come here almost always instead, they are much cleaner, and less crowded. Word to the wise; check your receipts. Shopped at Raley's Oakhurst today. Purchased two whole fryer chickens that were on sale for $1.27 a pound. Each chicken had a visible price tag with bar code. I went through the check stand and the cashier, Ricky, scanned the chickens and returned them to my basket. I paid and as I walked away from the checkstamd I reviewed my receipt. Ricky decided he would just scan the higher priced chicken twice, which caused an overcharge. When I confronted him with his lazy work ethic he just directed me to the Customer Service Center without an explanation or apology for his deceitful tactic. I wonder how many other customers Ricky has cheated with his lackadaisical attitude? Could being a cashier be any easier nowadays? All he has to do is scan the bar code on each item. Made a pitstop on my way to Los Angeles and stayed the night over in Oakhurst. Decided to stop over at Raleys to grab some food to whip up dinner. First impressions is that this place is spaced nicely out. Probably the best Raleys that I have stepped food into. The store flows pretty well, frozen is hidden in the back aisles, nice selection. Produce in the middle of the store, seems a little bit small. All of their refrigeration cases are nice, modern, sleek looking. The biggest stand out was their deli/bakery which seemed a bit larger than most stores as well as that this store doesn't just serve Peets brew, but they have a full functioning Peets in this store! Wow! Customer service seemed on the nicer end as the deli clerks were able to assist us as well as the cashier up front. Prices weren't too bad. I never shop this store. I did on Friday & was very dissatisfied I specifically went for 2 25# of carrots they were $2 more a bag than Vons! I bought them anyway since I was there. when I got home & opened the bags to store them-I found multiple rotten carrots which put "slime" on others in the bag. I normally go to raleys after work, which I did today, to grab some dinner and beer for my dad and I. I am almost 24 years old and the manager would not let the cashier sell me beer because my license, although up to date, is still VERTICAL! My license renewed just before my 21st birthday almost 3 years ago so I still wants old enough for a horizontal ID at the time. I showed them 3 additional pieces of identification but because I didn't have a HORIZONTAL ID or my PASSPORT I couldn't buy a beer?? 1) WHO BRINGS THEIR PASSPORT TO THE GROCERY STORE THEY LIVE A MILE FROM?! 2) I am not going to go out of my way to pay for another ID when mine is perfectly valid just so one store will sell me beer. The Raley's store in Oakhurst is a gem. We've been shopping there for 30 years. Friendly staff, very fresh meat and produce, and a nice selection of relatively exotic groceries as well. Clean and well-maintained. This is the only store where I've been able to find Dover Sole at the meat/fish counter - It's delicious and reasonably priced. A slight negative is that they sometimes run out of stock on less popular items such as half-gallon containers of half-and-half cream. But that isn't enough to cost them a star with their many pluses. I've read in other reviews that their prices are high, but that doesn't match my experience. I find them comparable to Von's and other large grocery stores. In any case, the high quality justifies a slightly higher price. read more

Waited five minutes no one came to take order, and there were no other customers at that time and the employee was playing with the coffee machine and refuses to come take order. All I wanted was a cup of coffee. I walked up to the coffee counter and stood there for a couple minutes and no one came out. I walked around the corner and found a man making sushi, and I called out to him several times before he acknowledged me. I asked him if anyone could help with coffee and he went into the back and got another worker. A tall, slim kid came out and I asked him about coffee. He said the employee that makes the coffee was at lunch, and would be back in an hour. So basically, no one was going to make coffee. I was irritated they both blew me off. Not to mention...how lazy can you be, if you can't pour a simple cup of coffee? I contacted a manager, who made the excuse that not everyone is cross trained on how to make coffee. I said it's pretty simple and all anyone had to do was pour it into a cup. I also pointed out the sign on the coffee counter said they're open from 6:00am to 6:00pm. She said she'd talk to them. So...she wasn't going to be doing it either. Three employees, one of whom is a manager, and no one even tried to help. This was the first time I've come into this Raley's in close to a decade. The last time I came in here, the guy bagging my groceries started hitting on me. I politely declined, and he became increasingly more aggressive, until I finally had to be pretty stern to get him to stop. At which time, he called me a bitch. A manager witnessed the whole thing, and stood there smirking, doing nothing. What do they even have managers for? I know I sound like a Karen. I've never asked to speak to a manager, anywhere else, in my entire life. I don't know what it is about this store. It's like the Bermuda Triangle, where basic courtesy goes to die. They should change their name from Raley's to IDGAF. Vons is right across the highway, it has everything I need, the store is clean and well stocked, and the people who work there are helpful. I'll just go back to keeping all my business there. Even YELP has a little disclosure about being kind, and taking COVID into consideration when stating a business' limitations. This wasn't caused by COVID; it was caused by a bunch of people who don't want to do their jobs. And if COVID ever ends, this is the kind of thing that will make it harder for a business to recover. My 3 stars for Raley's is simply because they carry the gluten free products I needed. I came in to stock up on some snacks for my hike at Yosemite, but didn't realize how ridiculously expensive it was going to be. A pack of Newman's gluten free fig bars that normally cost $3.49 to $4.49 ended up costing me $6.00 and everything else was about $1 more. I also wanted to get some organic produce, but unfortunately it was not fresh. The strawberries were welted and the lettuce was brown. I don't know why they bother with organic produce when it's clearly not fresh. Overall I'm still glad I was able to get some of the things I needed, but wouldn't recommend Raley's, because of the high prices and the lack of fresh produce in the organic section. read more

This review is for the deli. On the fourth of July we went to buy some chicken & jojo's. This was around 3pm fourth of July 2024. They were not busy. The girl said there wasn't enough for two chx tenders & potato wedges meals. Told me the chicken was made less than an hour ago. I asked how long does it take to drop some jojis she said 7 min so we waited. I bought this meal for a severely handicapped child & fingered the tenders would be tender lol. All the chicken was horribly dry & very hard so she could not eat them & neither could we. But the worst part was both pounds of potato wedges we bought were soaked in grease totally inedible! If you squeezed one nothing but oil came out. After having one each we spit them out looked at the rest & both pounds were nothing but soaked grease. It was disgusting but more mad me very angry they were even sold to us that way at all! Just soaked fried mashed potato filled oil! Everything went in the trash! We also threw out the each we bought to eat with the chicken because each plate we put the each on so that also went to waste which was five dollars. Then we also bought one piece fried chicken. That was also soaked in grease! That went to the trash. Our food for four of July was ruined! $32 waisted! Teach them how to cook & their oil is not hot enough that's why all food was absolutely soaked in grease & as for the tenders dry & hard. Just awful, unacceptable & incompetent! read more
