Several of the aisles were bare and we noticed that they raised the price of some of their goods. The new pricing may be to help them pay for the cost of the remodel - but, why remodel only to raise the prices and make it difficult for customers to navigate the aisles? Even the staff have trouble pointing out where the things are when asked. This is especially hard to grasp when our economy is at its worse times for the past several years. We're going to have to tighten our belts even more... and find a new grocery store to shop at. Sad!

This is a new business as of March 2024!…read more It is a collective of local farmers and artisans. At the time of our visit, they sold kale, chard, spinach, eggs, honey, mushrooms, snap peas, and strawberries. Other goods included fresh bread, olive oil, nursery plants, including natives, spring vegetable starters and irises. Also soaps, lotions and art. Please help this wonderful business thrive! It is great for locals to have extra fresh produce but also great for visitors stocking up their Airbnb for a delicious meal.

Somehow, one store kept pulling us back, and that's Grocery Outlet. There are several reasons for that: (1) The store always looks clean and their shelves are well stocked. (2) 99% of the time, the checker welcomes you with a smile and wishes you a good day. (3) All the staff are trained well. (4) The music they play doesn't break your ear-drums. In fact, shoppers seem happy to hum or sing along, which breaks the ice and make shoppers appear happy. (5) They don't change things around unnecessarily so you know exactly which aisle to go to for the products you need. Overall, I think the owners have done a splendid job in training their staff, their music choice, and the environment they created. I've been shopping there ever since except on the rare occasion I want roasted chicken or have no organic tea left. (Sometimes they have it but not always). Everyone in the store is extremely courteous---always! Just sign me "A very happy customer for life!"

They also have a sunny outdoor patio. I visited during Memorial Day Weekend, so it was expectedly packed. We waited awhile to order and pick up our food/drinks. The walls showed a range of very cute merch. The food was a bit pricey, which we expected given this tourist location. However, the portions were generous. The breakfast sandwich and acai bowl were both solid, classic brunch items. We also all enjoyed our drinks. The matcha was nice and strong, and there was a lovely cream top. I'd definitely visit this cafe again when I come to Bass Lake!

I ended up getting toothpaste, bananas(looked Fresh & Great) & Pinot Noir for Sunday! They have a large variety of all different wines. I picked one that I haven't tried and it was on sale. Very organized and easy to find what you need! Clean too! Checkout after that and the worker was very kind. I paid for it, she bagged it for me and handed it over with good day wishes! Appreciated! Great service & store! Highly recommended!

The kids love walking down to the Pines for all their snack 'needs' on any given day. The staff is wonderful, Celia is our favorite gal there. She's always got a smile for everyone and is just a joy to see every time we visit the market. The deli on back has a new menu this year we're eager to try out.
