As I've written about on numerous other occasions on Yelp, I am a Taco Bell addict. This is the closest Taco Bell to Yosemite, so I would probably still come here even if it sucked. Fortunately, it doesn't suck too bad. It's exactly what you would normally expect from Taco Bell, but like, thirty percent less of it. The food is prepared correctly. It is hot, and fresh. But the portion sizes are just never quite what they're supposed to be, or what they would be if you ordered them from any other Taco Bell storefront. For example, I recently ordered a Build Your Own Veggie Cravings Box on the app with a Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme, a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, a Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, and a Mt. Dew Baja Blast. Both the potatoes and the burrito were so undersized that I was able to open up the burrito, dump all of the potatoes into it, and easily wrap it back up. In fact, I've probably done this the last four times I came here. There was plenty of extra room in the bean burrito for the entire order of potatoes-- and there definitely should not be. The crunchwrap that comes in the box is not advertised as any kind of miniature version, but in reality, it is. If I had paid the menu price of six dollars for the crunchwrap alone, I probably would have been upset, but of course, that's how much I paid for the whole box. Taco Bell, Oakhurst: 2024 Jan 9 (3.25 of 5) Taco Tuesday sees us getting our dinner at Taco Bell. There was no queue at the drive-through. We got our order of Party Pack in fairly quickly. It took longer to wait for the food than it was to place our order. I opened the box to make sure we were given the correct order. That's when I noticed the sauce packets were sticky when I picked one up. When we got home, I submerged them in cold water to clean the packets out. Thank goodness none of the packets leaked. I ordered the Mexican Pizza when it finally came back on the menu and requested the tortillas be corn (GF) and the "manager" said there would be an extra charge to customize it. Really? I had ordered one that way the week before and didn't receive any static about it. Those don't come frozen or ready-made and have to have tortillas (2) on them so what's the difference to them that they're corn and not flour? I placed the order with it costing more and was charged $3 for the upgrade. I told them that's ok, Corporate would hear about it, and they did and apologized for the manager's mistreatment, giving me 2/$5 coupons to make it right. As for the Loaded Beef Nachos, I think a more accurate name would be "Unloaded Beef Nachos." The chips were buried under a sparse scattering of beef and a few lonely dabs of cheese sauce, with barely a whisper of the other promised toppings. They looked like they had been through a food drought! Our family dinner night, which was supposed to be a fiesta of flavors, quickly turned into a fiesta of frustration. We spent more time looking at the state of our meal than enjoying it. Even our dog turned up his nose at the Nacho Fries, and he's not known for being picky! I understand that not every meal can be perfect, but this was a far cry from even acceptable. There are valid concerns that the food quality doesn't match the tantalizing images in Taco Bell advertisements. I feel like I went to Taco Hell instead. Over the past couple years, I've been going through the drive through often and ordered door dash and the majority of the time I feel discontent. Whether its the quesadilla or the way the customer service has acted. On multiple occasions, I've received un-cut quesadillas and undercooked power bowls.
