We were driving from Yosemite to home and decided to stop for dinner. There was adequate parking, place was almost full when we walked in. They have an extensive menu. We had a bit of wait for our food but definitely worth it! Flavor was on-point. Ingredients not skimped on. Everything tasted authentic and just reminds me of a really good taco truck that you happen to just pass by, you end up eating there and it just becomes your new favorite stop whenever you're in the area. Worth the stop for sure! Still thinking about those quesa birria tacos!

Nice inside!

Let's start with the friendly folks who work here... always friendly, helpful and fast! Interior is not whole in the wall as there are nice booths and tables available and large enough for a large group or family whilst visiting near by Bass Lake or Yosemite! their menu is Taqueria style... Including breakfast! Everything here I have tried is Rico/delicious. From the pintos to the refried frijoles... Great stuff! Parking, close to all the local hotels in Oakhurst Definitely a great stop when in the area, and you can skip chipotle :-) If you are in the mood for an actual full-service restaurant, don't miss Casa Velasco Mexican Restaurant in the Pines area of Bass Lake.

Nice staff and love the salsa bar. Good food, and nice amounts for each meal. They were out of chicken the night we ordered, but other than that everything was great!

Carnitas Super Burrito

I wasn't thrilled with the food quality at Los Dos Carnales. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the place seemed clean and well-run. However the food itself just didn't quite do it for me. We got a few tacos and a super burrito to split. The tacos were okay: the pastor was the best one, but the chicken taco had a strange tomato sauce that didn't quite work. The super burrito was also disappointing, with somewhat bland carnitas, and onions that just didn't quite taste right. Based on our experience I'm not sure I can recommend it.

Hole in the wall Hole in the wall. Fast service. Delicious food. Highly recommended the el pastor and cabeza tacos...super juicy. The free salsa bar hits. Watch out for the pickled onion tho, that stuff is deadly spicy. Chips come out hot and pair nicely with their fresh guac. Prices are super reasonable, this spot is def a gem

We just got back from a long day of exploring the park and were famished. Our air bnb host recommended Los 2 Carnales so we thought we'd give it a try. There was a menu board and we ordered at the register. So far so good. Our food, a chili relleno plate and an enchilada plate, were delivered in about 5 minutes - enough time to fill our drinks and to visit the salsa bar. My chili relleno was extremely, no, beyond extremely, disappointing. The pepper wasn't seeded and every bite left me with a mouthful of seeds. I tried my best to eat it but after less than a handful of bites, I just couldn't take the seeds anymore. My husband ordered the enchilada plate with a variety of fillings - steak, al pastor, chicken and cheese. His enchiladas came with a "salad" - a pile of chopped lettuce and tomatoes heaped on top of the enchiladas. He ate some of it but had to dig through it to get to the enchiladas. The enchiladas themselves were fine. Both dinners came with refried beans (looked and tasted like they just came from a can) and flavorless rice. Neither of us ate more than a couple of bites of each. We also ordered a side of guac. While the flavor was ok, it was runny. I originally gave Los 2 Carnales three stars but after rereading this review, I think 2 stars is more than generous. Will I go back? Absolutely not. Should you? It's up to you but I don't recommend it.

I don't know if the 8 hour hike made this place extra delicious or what, but it definitely satisfied my voracious hunger after exploring Yosemite! We ordered the 4 taco combo - 2 lengua, 1 cabeza, and 1 carnita. They were all so delicious, but my personal favorite was the carnitas!! We also got a lengua burrito which we also devoured and saved the other half for the next day. Their sauce bar was great, and their soda options were standard along with some tea and juice options. I was definitely surprised to have good Mexican food all the way up in Oakhurst, please give this place a try if you're looking for good eats after a long day.

Was staying nearby for a wedding and stopped here for lunch on our last day in California. I was seriously not expecting the food to be so good and wished that I was hungrier because the portions were fantastic. It's definitely not fancy but who cares about the interior decor when the food is so good! Service was super quick and it was clear that all the food and the ingredients were extremely fresh!

Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed a 45-minute to 1-hour wait for a table. Perturbingly and hungrily, we waited. Our drink order included Modelo Michelada, Peach Lemonade, juice, and milk. I've visited this spot many times when in the area. Lots of parking although this place gets really busy during dinner and peak times. This spot is pretty big inside with a bar area and a separate main dining area. Clean and well organized with lots of dining tables. Arrived early for this visit around 4:30pm to beat the dinner crowd. Chose to be seated in the main dining area which was still empty with only a couple tables taken. Provided with a menu and ordered the following: ***Meiomi Pinot Noir 5/5 - superb! $14 ***Bowl of clam chowder 5/5 - a MUST order, sooo flavorful!!! $12 A couple at the next table saw my bowl and asked about it, which I highly recommended and they agreed when they got their bowl. ***Hawaiian salmon kabob 5/5 - so delish! $15 ***Chicken marsala over pasta with veges 4/5 - very tasty! $28 For dessert, got a bruleed cheesecake bites ($9). That is exactly what happened during my recent dinner at Elderberry House. I visited with a group of four, and between us, we had two gluten-free diners and one vegetarian. After a quick heads-up the day before, the restaurant handled our needs with total ease. We went for the five-course tasting menu, and it was incredible from start to finish. We kicked things off with one of the best oysters I have ever had, followed by a beautiful tuna presentation. The kitchen even looked out for our gluten-free friends with a special version of their herbal-butter focaccia that was actually delicious. By the time the main courses arrived, I honestly could not decide if I liked my beef or my friend's snap pea risotto better; every single bite was pure perfection. The cocktails were another high point. My first drink was great, but after chatting with our server, Jordan, I decided to try the Last Word. It featured that hard-to-find green chartreuse, and I am a little annoyed to report that I have a new favorite cocktail that requires such a rare ingredient. The service is what really made the night so special. Jordan was so charismatic and helpful, making sure we were perfectly taken care of all evening. He was so good that I almost worried a second visit would not be the same without him, though the rest of the staff quickly put that fear to rest. Abby was so friendly and responsible for a truly unique but perfect-for-the-vibe playlist, and Chris the mixologist even stopped by to geek out about gin and cocktails with us. From the genuine care for our food sensitivities to the clever touch of the iPad check-in hidden in an elegant binder, it was a night for the books. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to bringing my family next!
