We rented a cottage in Ahwahnee and wanted to pick up something quick for a late dinner. We found Papa Murphy's on Yelp. I liked the idea for a take and bake pizza. We got a large, original crust pizza with bacon (usually get sausage, but it looked weird and too crumbly), mushrooms and artichoke hearts. The pizza was heaped with toppings. The staff was friendly and quick. We were in and out in 5 minutes. Pizza was about $16. The fresh, unpacked pizzas were wrapped in plastic with baking directions and on a paper "tray" that can go into the oven! This was a nice touch since our rental didn't have a big enough round pan for the pie. The pizza was good, not crazy about the bread crust, but decent. read more

I was pretty disappointed when they placed my salad dressing and crouton bags on top of my pizza without double wrapping. Why wash your hands or wear gloves when you touch the dressing and croutons without and place them directly on my pizza. First time this has happened. Please be more sanitary. I went into Papa Murphy's last week , I ordered a pan pizza , the sales person didn't listen to me and sent me home with a thin crust pizza. I live in North Fork. I called the next day, I was told I would be in their oops book . The owner ( the woman) took my name and number and told me they would make me a great pan pizza the next time I came in . I wanted the pizza today and I went into Papa murphys and gave my name. I told them I was in their oops book "oops book!" The manager came out with big eyes looking at me, ( as if I was lying) she told me she went all the way back to 2022 and my name and number was not in the oops book! Feeling very embarrassed, I paid $20 for the pizza that was supposed to replace the pizza they had made wrong the week before! I told the manager on duty to take my name and number and tell the owner I won't be coming back to their shop ever again! The reason I'm so pissed about this is because, I had told the owner( the woman) I didn't need a replacement pizza and she insisted that they make it right ! She told me they would make me the perfect pan pizza ‍. Side note here , she asked me to hold when she talked to me and I could hear her husband argue with her about the phone call. I heard her say," I want to make it right !" Then her husband yelled at her and I heard him yelling ," go ahead make her whatever the Hell she wants!" That's why I told her, look , I don't need another pizza and that's when she insisted to make it right and she told me I would be in their oops book "oops book!"‍! Friendly, helpful service. They will make you whatever pizza you want. We like the small personal pizzas in the refrigerator case. Caesar salad is tasty. Love the take and bake cookies too. It's a quick in and out if you want to pick up a pizza for cooking at home. I am sure this is obvious but these are all take and bake. Perfect if you are local or in an Airbnb. If you are in a hotel, this is not for you. Microwaving pizza is clearly wrong. If you are in a hotel, go to Roundtable. read more

I've never been here before but a friend recommended me this place since we were out in Yosemite. It was mentioned you bake the pizza yourself after grabbing the pizzas there. I haven't had Papa Murphys is forever; they all closed in my area. There was a big snowstorm and I was shocked they were open because majority of the companies were closed due to the bad snowstorm, roads were shut down. The employees were very friendly. First visit here since our move from Bay Area 2 years ago. So glad we stopped! Service was amazing - jovial guy at cash register was wonderful. The place was immaculate. Pizza makers were fast & efficient. The pizza DELICIOUS! My hubby had a large cowboy & I had a medium gourmet veggie.plenty for leftovers. And good price. I heard the guy at the register tell an older lady he'd take her pizza out to her car where she was waiting - wow! So nice! These guys could teach the Papa Murphy's in Martinez a thing or two. He thought he had purchased the pizza because the cashier didn't say anything about it. I won't lie, but they will. We order from Papa Murphy's probably 6 times a year and their pizza is great. There is, however, someone that works there that won't open the door at the time your order is supposed to be ready. Then when you are finally able to get them to give you the order you already paid for during normal business hours, they will mark you as a no-show and never take your phone order again. You can show them receipts of said order, proof of pickups, but they aren't paid to make sense of anything. Being thoughtful and honest is above their pay grade I guess. read more

For $10-$12 you are able to feed 2-3 people pizza. Yes you need an oven, but if you are Airbnb'ing or another vacation rental you are set. We got two family size pizzas for 5 people and were able to have left overs for the next morning on our way back to the Park. What did I learn today? I've ordered pizza from the Oakhurst Papa Murphy's for a long time now. Their pizza is great. I used to recommend them to my friends that have never been there until tonight. I received the WORST service there by a guy that flat out refused to give me bbq sauce for no apparent reason. Now, I've always ordered ranch and bbq sauce and always received both from other employees that have worked there before every single time. It's never been a problem. The guy tonight first tried lying to me by telling me they were low on cups after giving me 2 sides of ranch. When I pointed out the full bbq sauce and asked him if he was telling me that he can't put bbq sauce in one of the containers he put the ranch in he changed his story and told me, and I quote, " No, we've never given out bbq sauce and I won't do that for you". I was completely flabbergasted that this guy was straight up telling me no to my face about a very simple, reasonable and doable request. What a complete jerk he was. I will be writing a formal complaint to corporate as I'm certain they won't be too happy knowing that one of their franchise owners is tolerating the insolent behavior of a most unworthy employee that is costing them business. I will also be certain to enlighten everyone I know (and I know a lot of people in this small town) to beware of the poor customer service one is sure to receive from this employee. Wo go there often. Tonight I tried to get a custom salad for my kids, we've done it many times. They took my order and started making it. Then the manager on duty came out and said that I was limited to 2 cups for toppings so that they could "save them for other people." Good pizza =] It's take n bake, so you buy the ready to bake pizza on bake-able pizza dish and then toss it in the oven. Customer service was great, the pizza and salad were yummy, and the restaurant is nice and new. I like the pizza, but I have had some troubles with getting them to change it for my allergies. I cannot have tomatoes so they usually sub the regular sauce for the garlic, even on specials. The lady that was there today growled at me that other people have done it. She made me feel really bad and I had to find something else to get for dinner. When you live in Ponderosa Basin, any pizza you get is going to be cold by the time you get home either, say, Round Table in Oakhurst or Pizza Factory in Mariposa. Go to Papa Murphy's! It's so easy to bake in your home oven, and comes out so great... it's a $20 pizza for about half the price and it's hot soon after you get home. Heck, you have to end up reheating Oakhurst and Mariposa pizzas anyway! If you go on $10 Tuesdays and want to buy a couple, ask for one of them to have a "cold crust".
