We ordered the carne asada burrito, a cheese quesadilla, and an al pastor taco. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made to order. The carne asada burrito was excellent, and the quesadilla came loaded with sour cream, lettuce, and tomato on the side, which was a nice touch. The al pastor taco was also delicious. They were out of carnitas the day we visited, but there were still plenty of great options. And as a bonus--they have pellet ice, which is always a win! Fresh ingredients, tasty food, friendly service, and I'd definitely come back.

Probably bought at a flea market. We were crushed. I had a combo platter of one crispy carnitas taco at $23. Ground beef. Very basic and lacked flavor. Outrageous for over $20. Wife had two enchiladas a la carte, cheese and green at $13. Mush. At least we have our memories and hope that someone will come along to resurrect it into at least something close to what was.

Most other restaurants in the area only serve this on the weekend and usually reserved for Sunday, but here it is a daily staple and has become my go to dish. The tripe is cooked thoroughly and holds on to the rich flavors of the both with profound care. And the broth is unctuous and rich while steeped in the history of chilies and patience. The tendon when added in gives a greater depth and silkiness that elevates this dish even further. Of course, onion, coriander and oregano gives it the perfect herbaceous notes and balances out the richness with cool notes. This isn't just a soup, this is an experience that one has to have, that one deserves. To taste the food of a people's is to understand their strength, perseverance, their love and ultimately brings you one step closer to a cultural awakening that you didn't know that you needed.

Salmon isn't exactly a local fish, but it's usually a safe bet, especially when it's fresh frozen. I got the salmon tacos, which came as two tacos on two tortillas. The salmon was topped with a little cabbage and tomato, melted cheese, and what seemed to be some onion and cilantro. They also included a small serving of salsa. Overall, they were decent, but not the best salmon tacos I've had. One thing that was a little annoying was that some of the salmon had the dark "bloodline" still attached. I usually scrape that off because I find that part of the fish more bitter and strongly flavored. That's especially awkward with tacos because you're trying to remove it from pieces of fish that are already in the taco. I've had salmon tacos elsewhere where that part had been trimmed off, so there was nothing to deal with. No bones, though. The tacos were a little pricey at just over $20 with tax, but you're in a tourist area and it's California, so that wasn't exactly surprising. They made for a decent meal, and sitting outside was pleasant.

I dont even want to give one star, this Taco Bell is the worst Taco Bell with the worst human beings possible running it .I'm pretty sure one of the guy's that works the cash register & takes the drive thru orders is a drug addict and I know he sleeps in his car.he literally screamed in my face that he does not care about his job. And he did this right in front of the manager Ruben! They never know what goes in the order on the menu they literally will ask you what number it is on the screen and what comes in it. Its Taco Bell , everything they have comes in plastic bags how hard can it be?At the drive-thru last night I had the guy who sleeps in his car,screaming in my face and acting like a jerk and he looked at me and said I don't care lady I don't care and all the employees behind him were laughing which is so sad this is covid-19 It's the only fast food restaurant we have in Morro Bay and the local people cannot even enjoy it because if the food doesn't make you sick the customer service will .I almost started to cry because it's a sad state to watch human beings treat other human beings so terrible and such a needy time I will never step foot in Morro Bay Taco Bell and if you are wise and you like to support good causes you will do the same. I love Taco Bell ....so disappointing that I live 3 miles away from the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to. Over the years I have dealt with the same that everyone else is commenting on currently. Closing early, rarely getting the order correct. I have allergies and can't eat tomatoes or the sauces. The tomatoes I just take off, but the sauces I can't and have to throw the food away. On pm 9-17-21 i ordered and explained that I couldn't eat the quesadilla on my previous visit because they put sauce in it. The guy on the other end said "you said that last time". So I was just out of luck. I have complained twice out of the countless number of mistakes. Try calling the corporate office in Santa Maria and the morro bay store and you just get a message saying we're busy, leave a message. What's sad is they don't care, they remain busy and don't care about customer service . I spend on average 200.00 to 300.00 monthly at morro bay Taco Bell , but no more . Sad read more

Because of a malfunction in their vehicle ordering, the cashier for the Morro Bay store decided that I had somehow done something that caused him, the cashier on December 9, about 2 ;20 PM, to become insulting and totally rude. I no longer trust the employees consequently I can no longer trust the food. This business is a mess. We've been regular customers for years. Not anymore. We won't be back, and neither will any of our friends. We've lived in Morro Bay for 35 years-I know a lot of people. I'll let them know there are other Taco shops available-with decent, not insulting help. Be careful with this place. read more

It's actually sad how bad this place is, from the staff to the food. I really wish something else would come to this location. Service is really bad, to the point I'm giving up. I'm not coming back here even if they paid me. Regular night employee at the drive thru always has attitude, as if he hated his job. He always throws the food at me to where I have to be paying attention otherwise I'll drop it. How bad is this. 6/14/25 night shift tall skinny guy. He needs to be gone. 8:00 on a Tuesday night and we were at the drive thru window for 28 min. I kid you not. Not at one time did the employees who were standing around talking which we could see through the window come to tell us what was going on. There were cars behind us and we had a 2 year old who was not happy with us. My husband finally got out knocked on the window and told the guy we want our money back. Then our food just happened To be ready and bagged. We vacation here once a year for a week and for the weekends every few months. We will never come back. read more

If the people working at this Taco Bell moved any slower they would be stopped. They look like a bunch of Psych patients shuffling around. "Can you hold on a minute?" is the default greeting here. Then the shambling corpse at the window moans your total. Then they retract themselves back inside. I had fallen asleep by the time the order came out and the window slammed open with a "Sauce!?". Yikes 40 min in a drive through. I get training new people but better planning would help so that 70% of the staff for dinner isn't new. When you hear the answer lock the door we can't help these people. That's not good. Lots of swearing between staff and customers that I could hear from my car at the window. This location really decreases the portion size and freshness compared to the Atascadero location. I ordered some spicy potato soft tacos and there were three stale hard potatoes in each taco. I looked in the bottom of the bag because I was certain the rest of the 80% of taco would be there but boy was I wrong. No quality control. read more

You must try the #17 Mike's Famous Philly. The textures of the Philly cheese steak are incredibly satisfying. I wish they sold a mini size #17. Also, it would be great if I could upgrade my sandwich by increasing the amount of meat for an extra fee.
