I downgrade restaurants that switch to frozen. With all of that said, the best hand-dipped chicken strips in the country at the moment are in SLO, CA at Jay Bird's Chicken. The young men working the counter were quick and seemed to enjoy their job. The cook in the back smiled as she carried out a tray of fresh chicken before she got to breading it. The setting in a small group of restaurants meant everyone was able to choose what they wanted - even if it wasn't chicken strips (everyone went with the strips!). It was a welcome break from seafood at Pismo. We'll be back if we're ever back through SLO.

The food came out in a timely manner, was well-prepared, and absolutely amazing! It was so nice to see everyone enjoying their meals, and it really added to the overall positive experience.
