Something is wrong here! We walked in and there were no customers waiting at the counter. We ordered two bean burritos and one hard shell taco. We sat down and waited..........and waited..........! 20 minutes later our order showed up at the counter. The only reason we did not walk away at the 10 to 15 minute mark is because we were hungry. Amazingly the burritos were actually hot, something not all Taco Bell restaurants are good at. The interior was clean. I believe full attention is pointed at the drive through patrons. That line was moving. The real issue here appears to be chintzy ownership. Three people working a holiday weekend lunch shift. This owner has made a calculation he can maintain a clientele while working a skeleton crew to the bone. Shame on the franchisee. read more

My daughter has some food allergies and so when you request no cheese on a taco but you get a taco with only meat and cheese it is very disappointing. She was unable to eat the meal and we were traveling so we could not go back for them to correct the order. Special orders aren't just because someone is picky, they can be the difference between someone being able to eat a meal or not. Do better next time! read more

Nobody is looking for magic at Taco Bell, but even with low expectations this store sucks! It's consistently horrible. My biggest complaint is the absolutely ridiculous amount of time it takes to get through the drive-thru. Tonight sealed the deal...we won't go back. 35 minutes in a drive thru line (no exaggeration) to get cold food. It was a very small order, food for two people. I felt very sorry for the man in the window because he had to deal with people who had been waiting forever but couldn't get out of the line by the time it had reached absurdity. This place is ridiculously BAD... I have come here several times and thought it was because of COVID but as I've seen on other reviews this is going on for a while now. Where do I start? So if you see more than 3 cars on the Drive-thru don't even stop by, it's going to take you at least 20-30 mins to get you ICE COLD food, broken shell tacos, soggy chalupas and uncooked quesadillas. Staff is super rude, the guy look at me all weird when I stood in the window because he had forgotten to give me hot sauce and literally threw the hot sauce at me and slammed the drive-thru window. On top of all this make sure you go two hours before their "closing" time. Ive gone several times an hour before their announced closing time and they are already closed. Why do we continue to go to Taco Bell? Not just this Taco Bell... but ANY Taco Bell? I have told my four year old to remind me how rotten Taco Bell is if I ever attempt to get food there again! With respect to THIS particular Taco Bell... I only learned how many people hated this location AFTER we got food there and I looked it up on Yelp to see if I was difficult, impatient or simply an idiot unable to adequately judge levels of service offered. Everything everyone has said about this Taco Bell is absolutely true. We drove through with a simple order of a chicken burrito, three bean burritos and a crunchy taco. There was only ONE car in front of us in the drive through. As we sat and sat behind the one car waiting for food... I began to wonder just what the heck the people in front of us had ordered to result in such a long wait! I had hair when we started this process... I looked in the rear view mirror and noticed I had lost most of it - and wrinkles appeared on my face where they previously had not existed. Finally they got their food... we moved up and began the wait for ours. What gives with this? I could have walked into their kitchen and prepared my own food - as well as the complete order in front of us - in a quarter of the time it took for them to get this food out... all the while cleaning their bathroom, dining room, and sweeping the parking lot. No joke. Of course, I was fool enough to drive off after finally receiving our food. I ask you, friends, is it a corporate policy to short every customer an item or two? It has to be because every freakin' Taco Bell I have ever visited does it. So we had to turn around and head back to the restaurant. My wife ran in to notify them that they had shorted us the chicken burrito and was greeted by all three staff members... blinking with blank faces in response to her query about the missing chicken burrito. Now, this can't be news to them because another person had just left complaining about a missing item, too. Plus, remember, shorting guests must be a corporate policy that all team members strictly adhere to. My wife got one team member moving when she threatened to return the entire order (what is it, like maybe $3.52?) for becoming cold while waiting for that stupid chicken burrito. If I had capital, the time, the interest and it was easy to build a new restaurant in SLO County, I'd get a Del Taco franchise, tear down the Lucky 7 across Highway 41 and build it there. It wouldn't take much to best Taco Bell and drive them out of business. With regard to the food... there was barely any beef in the taco. The bean and cheese burrito was okay, surprisingly. I think it was the manager making the food. I have no idea why... except when there are only like three people in the restaurant, I suppose he has to do something. The only way I can see this place stays open is because of clueless tourists visiting the area like us. Of course, what this Taco Bell offers isn't a franchise exception, it's the rule. So, again, I have asked my four year old son, who is smarter than me, to remind me to NOT EVER attempt to get food at a Taco Bell again. Ever. read more

It's a comedy show! last time I went for ONE bean burrito took about 15 minuets and I was the only person in the drive thru! It wasn't long after (10-15 min) that I was spraying that burrito out of my ass! If you care about your health don't eat here. Your better off going to chevron next door getting a microwaveable burrito and a laxative at least save yourself the trouble of waiting over a half hour in the drive thru! This is the worst Taco Bell, my order was wrong and the food was terrible. We threw most of it in the trash and went somewhere else. I hadn't been here in a couple years because it was awful and thought I'd give it another try. I won't ever be back. It's Taco Bell, what can I say? This however is definitely one of the worst I've been to. The drive through is constantly broken and the service can take a very long time. I got stuck in the drive through for 25 minutes one time while trying to quickly grab some food on my way home, all because there was "a big order". Well, none of the cars in front of me seemed to get more than 1 large bag, so I don't know what the large order was. I would like to update my review for the Morro Bay Taco Bell location to report that we did end up going back recently and had an excellent experience using the app and picking up through the drive thru. It seemed that all the old staff were gone and most people working there were new and the food was once again top notch quality and everything you'd expect it to be.
