So I am back to one star!! I keep trying Dominos again because there are no other reasonably-priced pizza delivery places in Morro Bay. They are really hit and miss. Every time I order I have to call the restaurant because there is no option for a "light bake" online. The phone rings and rings and half of the time no one answers. Then I end up with an over-cooked pizza. And usually, even though I order properly, they always seem to put that nasty garlic salt oil on the crust!! The box is dripping with the oil. And, finally, they have switched out their traditional Italian sausage for something that is too spicy and is now cut up pieces (see latest pic). You can see from my earlier pics that it used to be normal shaped sausage, hand picked instead of cut from a sausage loaf!! I have ordered this sausage pizza since back when I was in college and it is the only sausage I like. The only good thing is their salad, but I can get one just like it at Albertson's. Dominos was good once upon a time. I even worked for them long ago. I just received my last order ever. I have given them like 8 chances. Staff and delivery are good. They do best they can. 5.99 delivery fee is ridiculous. Not worth the service. Food has become increasingly horrible last few years. Pizzas especially bad. I had excellent pizza 4 out of 5 times, but the fifth pizza I got delivered was so terrible, I literally couldn't eat another piece, or else I'd throw up. It was as if the dough was both stale and undercooked somehow. The toppings were supposed to be just basic, but they tasted awful! I threw away two whole large pizzas because I couldn't force myself to take another bite of something that was about to make me throw up. At first, I thought they used rotten ingredients, but now I don't know. It was really that bad! They cost quite a bit, plus tax and tip, so you can imagine how pissed off I was to almost vomit when I took a bite. When I used the site to track my delivery, I stayed on it, continually pressing refresh. I realized that after it notified me of the pizza's delivery, it was taken back to quality check, as if somebody realized the quality was awful, then went back to double-check. But apparently they weren't careful enough, because I almost vomited when I took the first two bites. Sorry, but I'm never ordering from this Dominoes again. I'll be ordering from Round Table from now on. They may be more expensive, but at least I know they won't almost poison me. I'm sorry if this review is a bit harsh, but I was actually really shocked, because I've never gotten a pizza this nasty delivered in my life. This place KNOWS their online app to order has a flaw and STILL won't fix a broken order. I ordered 2 medium pizzas but their app SOMEHOW removed one during my payment process - it's a known issue with the app and I wasn't notified by the app it removed a pizza. So when the delivery person showed up with a single pizza they stated I would have to take the pizza and call the store. WHY would I pay $23.00 for a single medium pizza?!?! When I called the store and told them my order history SHOWS I ALWAYS order TWO medium pizzas they said they'd have their manager call me because only they could fix it. Love the new contactless delivery. It's really convenient being able to tip on the website instead of having to have cash on hand. Our order was punctual and delicious, and our driver wore a mask which is always reassuring to see and made us feel safe. I ordered 2 med Pizzas one hand tossed and one thin crust. When i opened the boxes the thin crust was obviously over cooked. I thought oh it will be crispy, but it was burnt and the taste was not good. I called the store and staff said oven was not working properly and he was problably on his break so he couldn't do anything to help me by thank me for calling and giving them feed back ,unfortunately they could not offer to replace the burnt pizzs due to oven not working correctly. I told him so how fair is that to the customer. He said he was sorry but that was the best he could do..i ask for the manager, and i was advised to call later. Been going here for over 14 years! I know it was sold about a year or two ago and it has gone downhill. Last night was the final straw. Kids wanted pizza and it was after 10:30pm. It said online open til 12am so we went online and orders pizzas and breadsticks like we normally do. In the past it was smaller mess ups like forgetting the ranch or marinara that we paid for. It said the order was received and Jonathan was prepping the order. It said it would be about 45 minutes. After an hour we were wondering where it was at. So we tried to call and no answer. We went on the app to check and the progress bar was gone. We did not get a call or a notification that the order was cancelled. So we kept waiting. At 11:30pm we went out to check and still nothing. Finally at midnight we made grilled cheese and decided it was not coming and maybe it was dropped off at the wrong house. Fast forward to today. Called at open to find out what happened. They stated that they stopped doing deliveries at 11pm. We ordered before that, and they had our number and could have easily called where we would have been understanding. Anyways the end result was that our credit card is still charged with the order and the tip, claimed it may take 5 days to credit. After some expressed disappointment she offered a free item on the next order. I would expect the order we made last night to be sent out free. I many times try to use the local pizza places and will be sure to steer clear from now on. I understand places are short staffed, but not communicating at all is a problem. You would think if they cancelled the order the app would automatically email, text or call you to let you know. Well this is not the case. This dominos used to be so good! The last 4-5 times we've ordered it's been terrible. They never bring Parmesan cheese even though we ask for it every time. And the pizza has been cold every time. We have to put it in the oven as soon as it's delivered. Last night we turned the oven on before it arrived because we had no faith after I got a text message saying "Tyrone just entered your neighborhood" so should be arriving soon. We live in Morro bay! We placed our order for delivery at 11:38. At 11:56 they canceled the order. I called immediately and got voicemail saying that they were closed (despite yelp saying that they were open until 1am.) Now there is literally nothing open in Morro Bay. In "good news" the email they sent telling me that my order was canceled says that I will be refunded in 2-5 business days. I ordered 2 pizzas tonight. When I opened one box the pizza was half burned and the only thing I recognized as topping was red bell pepper slices. I called the store and was told I had to bring the pizza back for the manager to look at. When I arrived no one knew who the manager was. I was told all our pizzas come out like that. I explained that was not the type of customer service I expected. The young man said they were just too short handed. They remade my pizza and after I asked for something extra for the trouble of driving there in the fog they begrudgingly gave me a lava cake. Surprisingly good and a ton of options deserves a lot more credit, the pizza is legit too. I recommend the delivery. I don't know what kind of witchcraft they are doing at Domino's HQ but some how they know my address even off another persons phone and usually at the door before I hang up the phone. We have been ordering dominos delivery for a long time, same house address and they have my info on there file, for faster and easy ordering. So now I have ordered delivery, and a pop up comes up and says you can't order if it comes to over 40 dollars, im sure we are not the only folks who find this absurd. We have 4 people in our household and you can barely order food for 2, at the prices they charge. Our particular situation is we have my husband and I, we are seniors and we have our mother of 87 living with us, and a nephew who is almost a senior, we also have mobility problems, and our home is 3 blocks from our local dominos. She in turn, said yes that is the new delivery rules.not wanting to put my outrage on her, I had to remove my order and our nephews. We ordered 2 chicken Alfredo pastas and not only did they deliver it to my neighbor but they told us they were going to give us our money back and never did they also said they were going to remake the pasta and deliver it and never did as well.
