Linkin and I in Morro Bay

Best place to get a veggie burrito or anything else on the menu. Family owned and operated, Tacos de Mexico has been a staple in Moro Bay fire as long as I can remember. Overall:B+

    Chile Verde Burrito
    Jordan K.

Friendly lady at the counter took my to go order and in less than 5 minutes my chile verde burrito was ready. The burrito price was $9.25. The hot sauce has a tingly kick and smokiness flavor. Overall a decent burrito with a the right amount of meat and fillers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is small with about seating for 15.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Tacos & wet burrito

This place is ass. One star tacos are tiny, dry and flavorless. Burrito was ok. Pico de gallo is literally the worst we've ever had. I'm fairly certain the chips and the guac in the non-refillable chips & guacamole plate are from Costco. A real banger. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathroom is clean, otherwise they'd get only one star.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Avoid.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First when parking they have a beautiful mural on the entrance of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very friendly hostess. You order food at counter. The food was on point. Just like home. I ordered Lengua Tacos oh my delicious and the meat was tender. My daughter had Cheese Enchiladas. She devoured them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing I could say negative is the place is small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Luckily we got a table. But within a few minutes it was packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But we were there just before lunch time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A friend who frequents this place recommended it to me. She described it as a small, unassuming spot with incredible food. After a long day in Morro, we decided to bring the boys here for a meal. The place was packed and very small, with a line out the door--a good sign of its popularity. Despite the busyness, the girl at the register was very friendly. We ordered three different kinds of tacos, an Asada burrito, a lengua wet burrito, and a bean burrito. The tacos were a bit dry, so my family might not order them again. The boys enjoyed the burritos, and I had a basic bean and cheese burrito, but only a few bites since I wasn't very hungry. There are many other places we haven't tried in Morro, so I can't say I'd rush back here. Maybe sometime in the future. 7/10/24

Chorizo breakfast burrito with sour cream

Yooo!! This place is it. After getting our breakfast scone stolen by an aggro teenaged seagull at Scout, we ventured here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not gonna lie the amazing aroma coming from the restaurant as we walked to our online coffee pickup had us, but the service from Gabi will keep us coming back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Did I mention the breakfast burrito? Oh it's gasssss!!!

Taco de Mexico is cheap and good, a solid spot when you're craving a quick bite. I'd recommend the Taco de Colorado, it's my favorite! Not the best mexican food ever but does the job!

They use to serve GIGANTIC burritos, stuffed to bursting with homemade carnitas and other meats. Well, the crowds were no longer there and there was actually parking available immediately in front of the building. And the building looked like it had experienced some hard times. One man at the cash register taking orders. You could read the menu behind him posted on the wall. Very basic options and the interior seating was at 1950s style linoleum kitchen tables and chairs. Probably bought at a flea market. We were crushed. I had a combo platter of one crispy carnitas taco at $23. Ground beef. Very basic and lacked flavor. Outrageous for over $20. Wife had two enchiladas a la carte, cheese and green at $13. Mush. At least we have our memories and hope that someone will come along to resurrect it into at least something close to what was.

Here's what we noticed: - The inside is pretty nice, lighter inside than you would expect from looking at it on the outside because of the skylights. The paint inside is a little tired and there's some cobwebs, etc. around but it still had a nice atmosphere. The chairs and tables are a bit tired, but ok. - The menu is pretty broad, and the prices seemed pretty reasonable. - My wife and I decided to split two different meals, the Al Pastor Burrito (which was served with a small salad) and the combo plate of Sofa and Chili Relleno. The portions on both dishes were really good, such that we took half the burrito home for later. The food was very tasty! - Service was just fine, although it was a pretty quiet time at lunch on a Thursday. Bottom line: This is a solid Mexican place, better than some in the area. We'll come back again, maybe to get take-out next time.

He ordered menudo with the pigs foot and I ordered the chilequilles(?). Mine was yummy, yummy. Hubby thought the Bowl of menudo would've been larger though. He didn't want to add more than chili flakes and a little cilantro & onions because he didn't want to mask the flavor of the broth. It was delicious! Sometimes they get my order right, sometimes they forget the corn tortillas. I called, I'm working from home but I wanted my fix of menudo. I get there and no one is there. Apparently there is only one staff member working the lunch shift on a quiet Saturday at 1 pm on May 9th. Another woman was ahead of me but got tired of waiting and left. I waited patiently because I like their menudo, but only to find out that even though he confirmed Menudo on the phone he not heard soup. The person in the kitchen misgendered me and not having my order ready. This not a great local place and not LGTBQ friendly. And neither employee bothered to apologize. I do not recommend! You lost not just my business but my friends as well.
