Taco Bell food is what it is. The Pepsi Zero, Baja Zero and Mountain Dew Zero and 'coming soon' syrup doesn't come out and has been that way for awhile. Unsweetened tea doesn't have a nozzle and also has been this way for awhile. Someone needs to service the dining room drink machines. The food order was accurate and timely. The dining room was mostly empty and a bit chilly. A good place to go to escape the heat. read more

Wasted 25 minutes waiting for a meal that was entered in the restaurant by the cashier. Canceled the order for a refund as the only other guy in the place had been waiting ten minutes longer. Outside there was a line of cars ten deep curving well beyond the order sign. I saw one guy in street clothes working the kitchen. Saw another worker carry in 12 inch sub from Subway. What's that tell you. Is that even legal on both accounts. HECK if I know. Then there was another employee in uniform outside chewing the fat standing with the occupants of a car. One of the fountain drinks was mistaken. That wasn't Mountain Dew dude. I've been giving this place 5 stars for decades. That stops today. Clean your floor and tables please ADIOS MUCHACHOS. The food was as expected, the employees were terrible. Service was incredibly slow. One big guy has been swearing (dropping the f-bomb while we sit here with our 9 year old), belching loudly, and talking loudly/obnoxiously the entire time we've been waiting for our food. I am embarrassed for this franchise owner that someone thought it was a good idea to hire him. It ruined the experience (as our kid loves Coming here and eating in the restaurant). I've been sitting in the drive through for 30 minutes and no one has moved. There's no one else here so it's not like they're making tacos. One of the worst taco bell experiences I've ever had, customer service was INCREDIBLY slow. We placed an online order at around 6:50, and did not get our food until 7:13. During our time sitting inside the restaurant pondering our decisions, multiple people from the drive thru came in complaining that their food was made incorrectly. the tacos themselves were fine, other than one of mine having bad lettuce on it and one of the spicy potato tacos being cold. I do not think the quality of the food should affect the review because the expectation is that the food is going to be hot and taste correct. I was very disappointed and the customer service of this FULLY STAFFED establishment (at least 5 people behind the counter) was very frustrating. I will not be going to this taco bell again. read more

When going through the drive-through today, we had two items missing off of our order and had to return back to the store after already getting home when we were reassured that everything was in the bag. When I returned to the store, the employees actually tried to start a fight over one missing burrito. Highly recommend you avoid this location. The staff cannot be trusted. read more

If I could give it a 0 I would, had a manager lock the door right in front of me and it wasn't even closing time as he tried to lie to me and tell me it was, and to just go to the drive thru. I guess they just let anyone with the bare minimum critical thinking skills of Patrick star walk in and manage that place. Wanted a quick late night snack so I drove to the Dubuque Taco Bell. This quickly became, by far, the worst fast food experience of my life. There were only two employees, neither of whom were friendly by any stretch of the imagination. They were taking orders one by one and not taking new orders until the previous order had received their food, causing a major backup. When I got my food 30 minutes later, it was the worst Taco Bell I'd ever had. I do not recommend this business. The owners should be ashamed read more

I did a mobile order at this location for two cravings boxes and put for there to be a handful of sauce in the bag, and there was none. One of the boxes had the completely wrong burrito, and there were tomatoes in the crunchwrap when it was explicitly put to not have any. I don't know how this could have happened due to it being a mobile order with specific instructions, but we are lett with two order that were nearly all wrong. Not to mention that there were three cars in line including mine and it took nearly 30 minutes to get through. Will never be coming back! read more

This Taco Bell location is unreal, in a good way. They do have the fastest drive through I have ever been to anywhere in the US and their staff is super polite and professional. The only reason they get knocked a point us because the local high school kiddies sit in their parking lot at night when it's warm out and trash the place. Maybe they should hire these children and show them the meaning of appreciation. read more

This was my first visit to a Taco Bell in 15 years. The food was good. I enjoyed the cinnamon twists for dessert. This store was kept clean and well organized. When I received my meal the lady called me Fred. Apparently forgetting moments earlier I said my name was Tim. No offense was taken. read more

I used to hit this taco 2 x week for lunch tacos, before I retired. I stopped today to try the new Grande Burrito as advertised on TV. It was 12:45PM and the resturant was busy (especially the drive-up). There appeared to be only three employees on duty. The cashier who took orders and handled the drive-up window. There were two employees preparing meal orders. The cashier was not wearing gloves as she was constantly handling money from customers, but she did occassionally handle food and prep orders without gloves. I ordered one nacho grande burrito and a medium drink at 12:40pm. I did not receive my eat-in order until 1:04pm. This is an unacceptable wait time for fast food. There is a second food preparation line in plain sight but apparently management did not feel it was justified to have enough staff working to handle heavy holidy noon-hour business. In the future I will drive by if they appear to be busy. read more

I'll admit it may be a little lame to write about a world wide chain restaurant for my first review, but baby steps are best for me. That being said, I would hate to undermine the specialness of the Taco Bell on Hillcrest in Dubuque. Sure the food is standard of Taco Bell but they have hands down the best customer service I've ever seen in any fast food restaurant. They're speed is unbelievable. I often feel flustered at myself for not having my cash ready in time as I reach the drive-thru window because the working personnel nearly always has my food dangling from the out the drive up window as I approach. (I order everything sans tomatoes so I think it's fresh.) Each of them ends the encounter stating, "It's been our pleasure" and they generally seem to mean it. Their management seems to have miraculously found the key to employing happy fast food workers who seem to enjoy their job and assisting customers. (Though I'm not quite sure what that "key" is exactly - I'm sure ol' Ronald McDonald down the street would love to know though!) read more

I used to love Taco Bell, but unfortunately haven't been back in over a year because my husband got food poisoning at this location :(
