Went there this past Monday night craving for Mediterranean food. This place had been on my hit up list since I'm looking for a caterer next month for a Friend. I called in and ordered the steak (medium) kabob plate and she ordered the Chicken shawarma plate. When I arrived 15 in minutes it was ready. A pretty price for a take home meal but ($50) everything was there with two types of rice grilled onion garlic sauce humus and dilled beet. I enjoyed my steak kabob plate very tender and warm off the grill. The rice was right and I grubbed it all. The chicken shawarma however was meh according to my friend and she wished she ordered the chicken kabob instead. It was basically small pieces of shredded chicken that looked reheated. She ate some of my steak and she likes that much better. We'll try It again and order the chicken kabob instead. Otherwise most of our order was satisfying. read more

Had high expectations for this addition to the Taboon family and was not disappointed. I ordered the fattoush salad with lamb kebab. Great flavors of cucumber, pomegranate and sumac added a beautiful brightness. Lamb was tender and flavorful, though I like mine cooked medium. Ordered a side of baba ganoush and will consume quickly. So glad that I can get healthy Mediterranean food in my 'hood. read more

Ordered pick up tonight and it was so delicious. The young man working the counter was friendly and made suggestions. Tried the garlic, cucumber yogurt and hummus dips. each one was very good. My husband had a lamb kebab dinner and I had a soup (which name I can't remember) and we shared cheese pastry. Highly recommend!! read more

We just moved down from downtown Long Beach. We already had our favorite Mediterranean place but now it's a little far. We've tried a couple places in the area but Taboon is hands down one of the best we've had. The kefta, beef shawarma and chicken were super tasty. This was our first time here and it did not disappoint! We got the Family Meal and Linda made great recommendations for the sides. When it came out, we were amazed by the beautiful presentation and absolutely deliciousness. The meat kabobs were tender and juicy pieces of filet and chicken was not dry at all. I have been wanting to update my review for Taboon. We decided to give them another try after our first review and were very happy the last time we came. We were looking for a healthy meal to that would be enough for all of us. We decided to try their family meal. The family meal came with a ton of food! We were able to pick falafel and veggies that came served in a huge tray over rice. It also came with different sides to pick from. We ended up getting salad and hummus, garlic sauce, pickled veggies and red onion and pita bread. It also came with some hot side options such as the garlic potatoes and the cauliflower. The food was ready very quickly and I was incredulous thankful because we ordered very close to closing time and we were able to get our food right away. They are so friendly and would even help bring it out to the car because it was a lot of food. The food was hot and fresh and very tasty! This is definitely something I would order again, it was a great value and fed all of us! We will definitely be back! read more

Super disappointed in our meal tonight. My boyfriend and I ordered take out from here and we were excited with all the good reviews. Got home and opened it up and the chicken smelt weird and tasted dry and flavorless. I also asked for a pita with my plate and it wasn't there. Had to throw away the food. If it wasn't so far we would go back and ask for a refund. My stomach now hurts after trying to make myself eat it. Food is pretty consistently good. But their customer service is questionable. I ordered 1 chicken platter and 2 beef platter. The person taking my order repeats my order and when i go to pick it up, it's 2 chicken and 3 beef platters. I try to explain but I did not have time to go back and forth so I took the order. I had a bad experience first time I went here, it was when they just barely open. So I was hesitant to give this place another try. Am I glad that I gave this place a otter try today. I ordered online, got the mixed grill plate with rice, salad and pickled veggies. Picked up my order before the time it was supposed to be ready and it was ready. Meats cooked and spiced the way I like it. Delicious rice and super tasty and crunchy pickled veggies. Bonus for the grilled tomatoes and onions. I will define be back again. A much needed Mediterranean place in the area and it does not disappoint. We tried for a light lunch so split the wrap and got a side and we left with no regrets. The fries were so crisp on the outside and fluffy inside... some of the best fries. Love that they don't skimp on pickled veg that came with both plates. This was like an amazing falafel burrito with pickles, hummus, veg, tahini... we have decided to eat the menu until we've tried everything because we are such big fans. When I ordered baklava for my husband, they said they have two types - one with rose water and one without! Wow! The food tasted great and was ready pretty quickly. While waiting, I noticed that they have a fairly brisk to go/ pick up business. Clearly, they are doing things right! There are a few tables if you wanted to sit in and eat. After kickboxing at NHC. I noticed this new Mediterranean/ Lebanese restaurant that just opened, my sister and walked in and were greeted with a friendly welcome. I wasn't sure what to get so Robbie recommended the Family Meal that comes with 3 choices of protein, cold and hot appetizer options, rice and pita bread. So much Food! I It didn't disappoint. This place is a little gem! I didn't know what to expect with somewhere labeled as "express" but don't get it twisted - this food is FRESH. The flavors are vibrant and everything is cooked deliciously. Chicken kabobs and the Kefta were both great. Salad was surprisingly good too - as was the rice.
