Oh Taboon, I'm so happy I found your other location today. The chicken schwarma wrap was just as I remembered from your prior location. Ample tender chicken spiced beautifully, wrapped in a fresh tortilla with garlic sauce and pickles. I love this wrap. I couldn't help but eat the whole thing! I could bathe in the garlic sauce. I'm going to order extra, extra garlic sauce next time. read more

I am no expert in Med Food, but have had my share. I ordered a family meal and the portions were more than enough for 5-6. I will say the garlic, hummus, baba ganoush were some of the best I have ever had. The 3 protein entree platter were also very good. I would not recommend that you eat in, as there are only a few seats and it seems as though they market to the take out crowd. read more

We both had the Kosta Kabab entree. It was fabulous, including the home made humus. A full meal, it was taste well prepared and presented and had a variety of tastes. We encourage anyone to try it and enjoy it. We ate in but take out is a specialty. read more

The food was ok, but the lamb in the wrap was in such large chucks and they were kind of tough. I felt like I would choke on it. When I took my leftovers home I had to cut it several times to make it manageable to eat. They just need to cut it smaller. read more

I ordered a combo plate and ice cream. The meal started on a positive note as the combo plate was very good, I got chicken, steak and vegetables and everything on the plate was delicious. However i ended the meal with a terrible experience, the ice cream (pistachio) was not edible it was extremely frost bitten and gummy texture, i believe it was very old and likely expired. The extent of the frostbite indicated it was old and passed its fresh date. I literally had to spit the ice cream out. They really should not have served that to their customers, I would rather they told me they were out or offer a different flavor than send me with this ice cream. Waste of money and soured the otherwise pleasant experience I had. This was my first time trying this place. I visited the one in Los Alamitos ordered to go. If it weren't for the terrible ice cream I would have given 5 stars read more

You get a lot of very tasty food for the money here. The staff was friendly and accommodated several special requests from our group. This location is a small space with limited seating and little ambience so probably best for quick meals and take-out. We will be back. read more

Very nice service, however, the food was terrible. The wrap consisted of chopped beef with sprinkles of mozzarella in a quesadilla tortilla, drowning in olive oil. They were so sweet, I felt sorry for them. I cannot afford to waste money on terrible food. read more

The place is small. We walked up to the counter looking for a quick lunch. It was a little confusing with the menu but we ordered the Beef Shwarma with baba ganoush which was recommended. Please note the prep time is 10 minutes. The short wait was worth it. The food is fantastic. Loved the flavorful eggplant bana ganoush. There was only one pita which is unusual as we usually have a few pitas with entrees like this. Loved the toum garlic sauce as well. This was the perfect amount to split between the two of us. We will definitely come back. Parking in mini strip mall. read more

Taboon Mediterranean - Beef Shwarma with Baba Ganoush and Hummus - Mediterranean Near Me - Los Alamitos, California

This is an "express" restaurant. The dining room is small. Every time we eat from here, we order pick up. I suggest eating here if you are looking for takeout or delivery. If you have a large party, this isn't the place to eat. I ordered the Taboon Family Meal. It came with 3 cold appetizers, 2 hot appetizers, and 3 proteins. I got hummus, baba ganooj, and cucumber yogurt as my cold options; chicken tenders (for the kids) and falafel for my hot options; and chicken, beef, and lamb kabobs for my proteins. There was more than enough food. It also came with two types of rice, pita bread, pickled veggies, and garlic sauce. It's definitely worth ordering for a family of 6. The people who work here are always friendly and happy to help. Highly recommend this place if you live in the area. read more

The food is really good. The plate I ordered was heavy. A lot of food. I love the cilantro sauce. I ordered delivery. On my order I requested the cilantro sauce. I received five different sauces. One was a half filled cup of cilantro sauce. If I go back, it won't be delivery. ‍ read more

Great lamb seasoned and cooked perfectly I had mine cooked medium. The complete plate was excellent rice, grilled tomato, onion, salad, pita, hummus, and the Baklava was very good. We love Mediterranean food, and when we were out here visiting the Beach & we got hungry, so the hubby looked up this awesome Mediterranean restaurant in Garden Grove called Taboo Mediterranean Restaurant. When we walked in we met Moe, who was awesome at explaining the menu to us, and helping us, in making a decision on the best dish that he could. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! We ended up ordering the Taboon mixed grill plate with 3 different skewers of protein. The chicken kabob, the Beef kefta , and we substituted the lamb for the filet mignon. Then we ended it with the their amazing Baklava à la mode! Like I said, everything was fresh and good and their restaurant is clean and the Service is on point! We will definitely be back. Thanks again to Moe for the great dining experience and all of the awesome suggestions of food. It was definitely worth every Penny! read more

Had an amazing lunch at taboon! I ordered the shrimp kabob plate but upgraded to the fattoush instead of a Mediterranean salad, which gave me some peppers cucumbers and a little bit of a different dressing. The food came out really fast which is important for lunch and they have tables outside, which being in the medical field and the uncertainties of covid is important nowadays. also important in Orange county is that the tables are in the shade at lunch time! The food was amazing and well prepared and even well presented in the to go container. I had ordered it without saying whether I would be eating in or out but even when I opened it at the restaurant to eat in it still looked really well presented. The spices were really good and the spice on The shrimp was distinct from the rice pilaf underneath. Both were very tasty with the shrimp being perfectly cooked, not overcooked that you can see on grilled shrimp sometimes. Fattoush was really simple and tasted fresh. They came to check on me twice even outside and I appreciate that. highly recommend Taboon for lunch. read more

I've been here a couple times and have yet to review this place. It's a quite small location known for mainly To-go with limited seating but the times I've dined in here I was never short of service here. The food and service here has always been amazing. I usually order the Taboon combo for myself. It's so delish I can eat the entire thing by myself if I wanted to. It has a great variety of Proteins, veggies and rice cooked just right. Also for dessert I get the Baklava and or Rice pudding with my favorite Arabic Coffee. Will definitely be back here again. read more

Ordered take away for NFL Playoffs viewing at the house. Everything was packaged and ready (as scheduled) when I arrived for pick up. Entire order was spot-on. And the latest dude at the counter (like every other employee ever encountered there) was, as usual, nice and friendly. Guests were blown away by the food and I was happy to share the secret of Taboon. (Speaking of secrets, if you add smoked paprika, sumac and a couple of splashes of Crystal Hot Sauce to their baba ghanoush it becomes so addictive it would qualify as a Schedule V drug. Serve with their pita toasted and sliced veggies) read more

Yoooooooooooooooo! Have to give this place great rating came here with the family to give it a shot since were tired of Pita hot in fullerton and kebab crush in artesia. And we were so glad to give this spot a try because they have so much more options plus we the bixby choice sauce tasted amazing we tried the spicy version which wasn't too spicy but cream sauce really tasted good on the salmon. We even topped it with some of the kebabs we ordered. The meat sambousek was good especially with the garlic sauce, the potato salad was mediocre nothing impressive with that, the grilled halloumi cheese slices on a bed of fresh greens, garnished with a cherry tomato was actually really good, the zahrah is the reason this was a 4 star just cause we were so excited to try it and we all love cauliflower, they cooked it perfectly but the sauce on the bottom was so salty it messed up the dish, and the chicken kebab was also over cooked. But the main dishes like the kefta, shrimp, lamb chop was amazing and its difficult to get everything perfect so still giving this restaurant a 4 star, they arent stingy with the garlic sauce also, and there garlic sauce is better the Pita Hots and Kebab crush also, its not too thick and has the perfect amount of flavor and fluffiness. Service was fast and very friendly employees at the front. read more

I don't why this place deserves 4.5 stars. I brought my dad to this place today for lunch. The space itself is small. The lady who took our order was very rude. There was no greeting from her when my dad and I walked in or out to the tiny restaurant. Food was OK not very tasty at all. The price for wrap is even cheaper than the lunch special. I probably won't return in the near future. read more

Called in my order with emphasis on my lamb wrap to not have tomato or pickle. The arrogant guy up front read my order back just to be sure. I get there and my order is ready but he tells me it's not. I pay $17 for a lunch I can't eat due to a medical condition and no time to dispute the issue because I'm on my 30 lunch break. Never coming back to deal with the attitude and lack of customer service. read more

Eat Here!!! OMG, we are big fans of Mediterranean food, and can't believe this place has been in our back yard for almost a year. Seriously great, authentic and craveable menu items. From the Tabbouleh salad with those delicious "crunchie" pita croutons, to the "out-of-this-world" Baba Ganoush with its amazing sweet-smokiness... to of course the "oh-so-tender" kabob chicken and filet mignon. Literally E V E R Y T H I N G I put in my mouth was fantastic. And we are NOT easy to please. Cheap? No way. You can't make food this good cheaply. Worth it? Every dang dollar's worth. read more

Love the Beef Shawarma here. We stopped here too early in the week for some good Mediiterranean food you wont forget. Bought two bowls for dinner last night after picking kid from class- one chicken shawarma bowl and falafel bowl ( kid wanted to try new stuff). We got them to go and paid tips. Got home and realized that the falafel bowl had no falafel just rice and veggies!!! We were too far away so I just split the chicken between the two bowls. Food tasted better than when they first opened a few years ago but missing the main ingredient in a bowl was bad. So please check your orders before leaving the store read more
