Glazed pork chop
Jim R.

A lovely restaurant with delicious inspired food, unfortunately we were there at the height of spring break so one large group with 6 unruly kids put a bit of a damper on the evening for the vast majority of adult diners. Food wise, we enjoyed the truffle croquettes a lot and the whiskey pork chop was tender and luscious. There's an ok wine list and a variety of specialty cocktails. Our server, whose name I don't get (on the short side with long pony tail) did a wonderful job despite having a lot of tables .

Mai tai - very good!

We went for happy hour, and it was half off drinks! I got the Mai tai which was probably the best I had on the island, and my boyfriend got a beer that was about $3.50 with the discount. Great deals!!

Delicious drinks! Scrumptious appetizers! Highly recommend the goat cheese risotto croquettes and the prawn polenta appetizers. Braised beef with mashed potatoes was outstanding. The chocolate soufflé to finish was the perfect end.

Pineapple whisky pork chop. Ate all the taters and gravy and took 1/2 the pork chop home for ramen.

First-class service from our server and bartender. The food was top-notch (see photos). We arrived before our reservation for the 5:00 first seating and sat at the bar where Elissa made us awesome happy hour Mai Tais. (Thursday is all day happy hour in the bar!) The hostess found us at 5 and seated us at a comfy booth. Our wonderful server Jenny took over from there. She was friendly, attentive and gave us all the time needed to enjoy a birthday celebration. I loved the French Onion Soup, my partner had the classic Caesar salad. We both relished the pork chop and chicken marsala. We finished with the Mint chocolate pie. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience dining here about a month ago! It was the most reasonably priced fancy-ish restaurant in the neighborhood (except for maybe La Spezia). I believe I saw somewhere that it's a popup? I never would have known--the interior was classy and felt very permanent. I tried the goat cheese truffle croquettes, and they were pretty good (but not amazing). The Asian wings were the best I have ever had though, and the chicken Marsala with polenta was incredible! Our server was kind and attentive, and I have nothing bad to say about my experience.

Pork chop with substituted asparagus for green beans and rice instead of potato.

Get the pork chops. So good. Tender and flavorful and something unique. French onion soup was ok. I thought it was a little bland but it wasn't horrible. Little haupia tart dessert was a perfect ending. 4 of them in an order. Very refreshing and tasty. Service at the bar tables was great. Very friendly and helpful. Dining room looked a little more formal. But still everyone looked like resort casual. It's located upstairs by the upstairs bathrooms. Had a nice table by the window in the bar area. Reservations on OpenTable. Just check what days they are closed before you go out Only thing I found odd was they have a credit card fee but the way they characterize it is odd to me. But I think their point is that they don't profit from it.

The braised beef- the sauce is delicious

We went to The Table twice on our family vacation in Poipu. The first time four of us went for dinner and the very friendly Jenny was our server. My son in law liked it so much that we decided to go again on the night before our departure for happy hour. Jessa was the happy hour server/bartender. She was very efficient and welcoming. The restaurant is large, clean and has an upscale bar area. Dinner: The pork chops had a delicious glaze on top, the braised beef also came in a delicious sauce. Happy hour: we got the artichoke dip and the asian chicken wings - definitely recommend. Cocktails: Unique choices and great tasting!

Ahi special

Everything was lovely. Food was delicious. Service was great. I don't understand why but the restaurant was fairly empty. I've been visiting the island for 20 years and was nice to visit a new restaurant other than the older places that never update their menu and are very loud.

Fish of the day with mashed potatoes instead of rice.

The drinks were delicious (I loved my lychee martini) and the appetizer we had was incredible! Taro rolls and carrot muffins. The taro rolls were sooooo soft and delicious, never had anything like it. Then for dinner we each tried something different, I had the burger which was excellent! Special shout out to our amazing waiter, Tyrus. I don't think I've ever had such a personable, kind, and engaging waiter. He was hilarious and so fun to talk to. He gave great recommendations on the island as well. Overall amazing experience. Highly recommend!

They had a lovely flavor, but were a little dry. My wife had the guava barbecue ribs, and I had the guava barbecue chicken. The ribs were delicious. My only note is they would've been even better if they had been cooked in a smoker. My chicken was also a bit dry. I had them bring me a ramekin of barbecue sauce, and that moisten did it up enough. that it was pretty good. Sides were locally grown, and well-prepared. Their signature dessert is called hula pie. It's an ice cream and macadamia nut take on a baked Alaskan, and it's delicious. It's really big, so you might want to start with dessert, and then see how hungry you are after. The noise level is good, it was nice for a romantic evening it also seemed like it would be good for groups up to 12.

I had them hold the garlic aioli and I added regular mayo. I really liked this burger. Very flavorful. Yummy toppings. Fries were good too. I was at restaurant the night before Hurricane Lowell hit. Their menu consists of items that you would typically find at the food court in a mall, with the same quality but about 3 - 5 times more expensive. There is literally not a single healthy option - everything is either loaded with sugar, salt or deep fried. Additionally, there are no vegan options for dinner and they only have a breakfast vegan loco moco. The only redeeming factor is that most of their servers are VERY friendly and will go above and beyond to help you with customizations. Shout out to James, their best server (he alone gets 5 stars +) who could easily work at a Michelin restaurant.

I swear this is a hidden gem in Poipu, where prices at most restaurants are through the roof for mediocre food and service. Our favorite dish on the menu here is the seared ahi tacos, and the kids love their teriyaki chicken and rice bowls--it is so nice to finally see something besides chicken tenders or fries on a kid's menu! Service is quick and friendly, and the vibes are chill with popular Hawaiian music playing throughout the bar. It has a laid-back atmosphere and is the perfect spot to unwind. The first thing I'll mention is the variety. There were approximately 10 hot food items on their main hot food table with options ranging from kalua pork hash, to frittata, to mango mahi. Plus they switched out all options each day to make sure the buffet wasn't repetitive. The quality of these items was generally great. But they had much more beyond the main hot food table. The fresh juice shots were always a highlight for us. Also the pancakes/french toast bar, which always had a good local twist like taro or ube mixed in. And make sure to dig into the fresh fruit spread. They have good sweet baked goods as well, but I think the bread/bagel cabinet is the only miss at this buffet. The bread options just weren't good quality. I still give 5 stars, because even without freshly baked breads, we still had a plethora excellent options. If you are staying at Grand Hyatt Kauai, this buffet is a great option. Especially if you want to fill up on brunch and not go out to eat again until dinner.
