We had lunch at Ilima Terrace during our stay at Grand Hyatt. The staff was very friendly and gave us an amazing table with a view. We had the the Ahi Poke Bowl and Mirin-miso Glazed Mahi. Both were delicious but my favorite was the poke bowl. It was server with a very unique and delicious edamame mousse which gave the poke bowl a wonderful flavor. Will be coming back for breakfast tomorrow.

This is such a great place to come for breakfast. The views are amazing and we especially loved watching the swans. They have a huge amount of options. We especially loved the pancakes. Worth the price!

Another great New Year's brunch at Ilima Terrace. No wait for our party of 4, and an extremely friendly and accommodating server. Loved my omelette and the overall spread of food. Coffee was a little weak. But with the views and tasty food, I still love this buffet.

It seems overpriced, but is comparable to every other restaurant in the area. Delicious, fresh offerings. My favorite is the papaya with chia pudding (the first option on the menu), but instead of having a side of oatmeal brûlée, I feel like it should have a protein as a side. The servers are always so friendly and the swan couple you get to watch as you dine puts a romantic spin on the experience.

Breakfast buffet was so awesome. Mainly for the experience- the view, the all you can eat, the variety of options, the service. Definitely a hefty price tag (90+ for 2), but we're on our honeymoon so we said sure! Probably wouldn't go here on the regular. The highlights were the salmon loch bagel, kalua pig hash, small shots of kombucha/juice, lemon poppy seed pancakes, endless eggs Benedict, lots of fresh fruit (mango specifically), etc... So fun to try everything, with a crazy morning view!

Best breakfast on the South Shore. Go for the buffet. It shifts expectations of the standard Hyatt breakfast. We enjoyed collection of morning "shots" - watermelon + chili + ginger / cantaloupe + orange + ginger/ green apple + kale + celery / Kauai kombucha. To me, green one with kale was the best taste! Weligton pie is mind - numbing, so good and melting in your mouth. Pancakes are fluffy and "airy". Eggs, omelettes, fruit -- very good selection and cooking style. Only the selection of cheese could be better, in my view. Prices are very reasonable. If you go to nearby places, you would spend roughly the same amount of money, but for less quality food. No to mention fascinating views, birds chirping, great customer audience and helpful team.

Amazing food with the best view, great service. Highly recommend the quesadilla. Bartender knows a good mojito.

The atmosphere here is unbelievable! The view will take your breath away. The breakfast buffet has everything you could want and then some. I'm usually not big into buffets but the quality of the food and ample options was amazing. They even had a make your own inlet station with a very friendly chef. Satcha made our whole experience even better. She is so warm and friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure my husband and I are having the best honeymoon! She deserves all the praise in the world.

Food here was actually better than what I've had elsewhere on the island, and it comes with a view! 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars. We ordered a poblano quesadilla ($18), island cobb salad ($23), and a side of fries ($6). As a Hyatt discoverist member, we also got a 20% discount for lunch. The poblano quesadilla doesn't come with cheese- odd for the name. But our server mentioned this right off the bat and asked if we wanted to add it on. We didn't hesitate because what even is a quesadilla without cheese?! He didn't mention if it would cost extra, so we were pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't an addition fee when we got the bill. The quesadilla on its own is average and definitely needs the salsa it came with. The cobb salad was light and the papaya dressing was delicious. I requested no bacon and chicken on the side, and my server obliged without an issue. Waffle fries were exactly as I expected. Is was craving fries, and this hit the spot.

We came here for brunch, but keep in mind they recently changed their chef, so the lunch menu is quite different from what's shown on Yelp or Google. Be sure to check their website for the latest menu. Nevertheless, we were impressed with the restaurant's pleasant ambiance, situated next to a serene pond with two elegant white swans and a bunch of fishes. The staff was welcoming, and the food, while different, was quite enjoyable. We opted for the Ahi Poke bowl and the Fish and Shrimp salad, both of which were well-portioned and tasty. Additionally, it's conveniently located within the Grand Hyatt, which is where we're staying. If you happen to be a Globalist member, you'll also enjoy an extra 20% off your bill at this establishment.

A special Mother's Day buffet from morning until 5 pm. A beautiful venue, live acoustic guitar singer, balloon creations and face painting for the children, and tasty food!

A beautiful location with a grand view of the ocean. Service was prompt and friendly as expected. Wonderful presentation of their tasty meals. My husband and son liked their grass-fed beef burgers and I enjoyed my poke plate. It was pricey but we were on vacation and the whole experience was well-worth it!!

Is complimentary parking available for the breakfast buffet?

Parking is free. I don't even recall having to get anything validated. This was June 2023

Is the breakfast buffet pricing the same for adults and children?

Call the restaurant for the updated price. The Morhets Day buffet was $100 per person.

Hello we are coming end of the month, do you still offer breakfast buffet, and how much per person?

Yes, still have a great buffet spread. It's $45 per person. Aloha.

Are you still offering the Seafood Buffet on Tuesday's?

Aloha, no we are not offering any dinner buffets other than the luau which takes place on Wednesday & Saturday.

Is this place kid friendly? We have a family gathering, 3 small kids.

Yes. Plenty if space for accommodations and a view to keep the kids distracted....for awhile.

We sat on the patio by the pool and luckily the umbrella was large enough to block the sun! The food all tasted great. The crab dip with 6 or 8 pieces of toasted focaccia was high quality with real crab not surimi. We ordered the flatbread with chicken instead of pork and it was also very good with a nice crispy crust and moist chicken chunks. The wedge salad was a large piece with crisp bacon, candied pecans, grape tomato halves and a tasty dressing. It only needed some red onion to make it perfect. The calamari were crispy but the portion size was too small and the pieces of calamari were too small so the ratio of crust to fish was too high.

We were told that the pupi portions were large and could easily be shared. This was true and we split the calamari and my husband found it to be too salty. We both had the fresh catch. He had ahi tuna and I had mancha which I was told was like halibut. It was thinner than halibut and reminded me of mahi-mahi. It was suggested to have it pan seared to make sure it was not overcooked. Well, it was a bit fry from being overcooked. I had a double portion of green vegetables which turned out to be 4 pieces of asparagus. My husband's ahi was served a bit more than seared and rare. His sides were 2 pieces of asparagus and a piece of carrot. In essence we each had a small piece of fish and a small portion of vegetables. This was a mediocre meal in a beautiful setting. They need to step up their game.

We sat on the patio but they call the main dining room however it is outside. The host and the servers were very nice on both days helping us choose our dishes and beverages. The first night were shared the shrimp and unui (sp?) patties. They were tasty and slightly sweet but over-charred and the sauce served with them did not complement them very well. It needed a fresher sauce or something with a little kick The first night I Had the chicken Which is actually a tiny little bird I should've known from the name. - pouisson. It was well cooked, but there was very little meat on all of the bones. And also needed a sauce of some kind. The one baby bok choy was a nice addition. Two of the group had the fish and chips it was made with swordfish that night and was very tasty. However, the chips were slightly limp and not hot. No one wanted to return them, but they really were not very good. One of the other entrées was the veggie bowl with seared Aji tuna and it had quinoa at the bottom with lots of roasted beets and other vegetables. It was a very good dish. The second time I ordered the grilled seafood bowl because that night they were offering Oppa as the grilled fish on the kebabs/skewers that were served on top of the bowl the seafood was cooked, absolutely perfectly, and it had pickled cucumbers, pickled red onions, slightly cooked carrots, and then regular cucumbers on top of lightly dressed soba noodles. It was a very tasty and hearty bowl. We also ordered a kale, beet and blue cheese salad for the table, but what came out was their strange version of Caesar salad, which has chickpeas on it which of course we did not want. It took them quite a while to bring the kale and beet salad to the table, however when they did, it was quite tasty a combination I would not have thought of on my own The first night we ordered the passionfruit cheesecake which had a strange chocolate crust that was too thick and a very light topping of passionfruit. It was fine, but we would not order it again. The whole restaurant is a nice change from all of the really overpriced offerings in the area. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is professional and fun at the same time.

It was a delicious salad with beets, macadamia nuts, kale, and more- and the chicken was nice and moist.
