First time at Garden Grille for their breakfast & it did not disappoint. The service was great upon entry. Decided to get an espresso martini, and the burrito. Since I do not eat pork my lovely server suggested avocado in replacement. What a great suggestion! The espresso martini was hand shaken and served in a martini glass. Breakfast at the grill is delicious! Ordering off the menu (verses the Buffet) is the way to go for some delicious local flavors & it's not your typical hotel basics. The menu features many local choices from Portuguese sausage, Local Moco, pulled pork breakfast burrito and Banana & Macadamia nut pancakes! Definitely no need to venture out for breakfast when staying here! And the prices are pretty reasonable for the island and portion sizes! My favorites were the Wailua Breakfast Burrito and the Loco Moco which had an amazing Merlot Demi Glaze gravy and topped with crispy fried onions! Excellent! The juice selection were pricey. I was so impressed with the menu options each day, I never tried the breakfast buffet. Also bonus, if there is a bar tender working, most bar drinks are available for breakfast time too! Definitely a good breakfast here! And Tip: if you're a Hilton Gold or Diamond Member you get $10 redeemable credit! *ask for a side of Portuguese sausage if it's not part of your meal! Mehh ! The only reason we came here is because we were in the resort and had food credit to use. The ambiance is beautiful and it really is a nice place to get breakfast with the views and the breeze making the experience great. But the food in itself is really bad The staff was sweet but there is only so much one can compensate if the meal is bad. The eggs were uncooked and when I mentioned it to the staff they offered to replace it and the second time came back with another bowl of uncooked eggs which they again replaced a third time. At this point I decided to just give up and not eat them . The pineapple pancake was average but had a really weird texture. They don't even have an option to get a hot beverage other than tea or plain coffee . It's just plain disappointing but it can be a fast breakfast option for those that want to leave the resort early for sightseeing or for those that don't want to venture out of the resort . If you don't fall in the other two categories ,highly recommend just walking ten minutes and finding a better breakfast place. read more

We came in for breakfast, since we were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. The reviews looked okay and prices looked pretty high, but we came in to have a quick breakfast. The service was not great, but they seemed pretty short staffed. Ambiance was nice, with outdoor seating and chill vibes. - Kalua pork hash (3.5/5): The flavor was good overall, but it tasted like it was missing something. The potatoes were a purple sweet potato, but it would have paired better with a hash brown or rice. The pork itself was cooked and seasoned well. - Steel cut oatmeal (4/5): Pretty basic, can't really go wrong with oatmeal. read more

The Garden Grille & Bar is located near the main lobby with an amazing view of the ocean. There was a cool subtle tropical breeze. I was pleasantly surprised with the Bambucha Moco. It was very tasty indeed! Two generous Wagyu beef patties! Please see my pic of the description for details. The Bambucha Moco is a unique creation based on the more traditional Loco Moco which is a comfort food dish...think Mac n Cheese. And so, I was very critical about this Bambucha Moco. LOL. Friendly service with a smile:) Luckily, you do not need to be a registered guest of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel to dine here. Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and decided to have some breakfast here. We sat at the bar and got some great service. We had the maple bacon pancakes and the tomato basil avocado toast (on Passion Bakery bread). Breakfast was pretty solid but a bit pricey, as expected for a hotel breakfast. The standout here is the service. Everyone is really nice! No more bar here since they are only open from 6 AM to 10 AM. read more

We had the Veggie omelette and mochi pancakes. They were both delicious and we would order again. But the service was not what i'd call vacation friendly and a bit slow for the amount of guests at the restaurant.We did not get asked for drink refills and got sat in such a way the sun was shining right in our eyes. Please do not feed the chickens -- as they are very likely to jump up on your table and start eating off your plates. Be sure to cover your food if you leave to use the restroom. Once we had Serena serve us one morning we requested her every morning after. Not only is she fantastic at her job she truly made you feel as if you were home. Her recommendations were always on point and she went above and beyond to give up tips and recommendations to try on the island which all were amazing. We mostly had breakfast here - but it's a "solid" breakfast. I'd recommend the All American breakfast for maximum value and satisfaction. It's ~ $16 and offers a good variety of toast eggs bacon (or sausage or ham). The service is very good too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had breakfast at the Garden Grille twice while staying at tge Hilton for my Son's wedding. I didn't realize that breakfast was included in my room rate until they gave me the vouchers at check-in. It was awesome that we could order anything off the menu or have the buffet. I ended up getting the Scrambled Egg Sandwich with crispy bacon both days. The sandwich was delicious but I wasn't as impressed with the potatoes. Coffee was kind of me. Service and ambiance was very nice. It was a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy breakfast. read more

We normally go to this restaurant for Brunch often, Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc... family visiting the island. This last Sunday was Father's Day, and I took my husband for brunch and had the worst experience. Food was OK, service was terrible but we still left 20 % tip and would of just been ok with it but with in 45mins after we left I get a phone call "stating you didn't pay " no I'm sorry there seems to be a mistake or something to that effect. I explained that there had to be a mistake because I inserted my credit card in the credit card holder someone came by and took it and brought it back I signed it Gave the 20 % tip and went on my way. They lady on the phone states, " No, you didn't pay." I drove back and asked for manager explained that someone took my credit card and brought it back. I signed whatever paper was brought to me. I asked if she could check that my card was not runned she said no that if I was double charged, I could contact my credit card company and request a refund. There was never a "I'm sorry this happened". Thank you for driving back. read more

2 stars for poor service. Staff seems almost angry there are customers present. No table service, you had to go to counter to place order and to get refills on coffee. Food was good (had porteguise sausage omelette and fruit) and the building had beautiful thick wood architecture and a great view. Also disappointed in the wasteful way food was presented, in plastic boxes with plastic silverware wrapped in plastic that you had to hang on to to keep from blowing into ocean. This is located in the Hilton Garden Inn in Kauai. We stayed at the hotel and having a breakfast option conveniently located was welcomed! We ate breakfast here every morning after watching the sunrise, and never had to wait more than 10minutes for a table. There are a few communal tables as well as outdoor seating, and the staff were always accommodating to where we wanted to sit as long as they had a server stationed there. The staff was always friendly. Food is made to order (no buffet while we were there), and everything we ate was memorable and delicious. We enjoyed the pineapple french toast (with bread made by a local bakery), the Loco Moco, and our daughter loved the mochi pancakes. I also had the breakfast burrito one morning and it was good, too. Prices were standard for Hawaii :) Yes, there were cats & chickens on the perimeter, but as long as you do not engage or feed them, they won't come new your table. It is open air, so high ceilings with large fans, no doors or windows. Still being covid-conscious, we felt comfortable because of the air flow. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and eat breakfast here. read more

The breakfast buffet was okay, but way overpriced. Also, my traveling companion was a vegetarian, and some meat got into her omelette, which is pretty basic food safety that any properly trained cook should know better than. They were very apologetic and they did comp the meal for it, but that did put a pretty big damper on our morning. read more

I'm giving them five stars because Kelly the server was amazing. She would grab our drinks as soon as she saw us because the nine days at the hotel we went to the grill every night. Well, the buffet food was cold. Extremely over priced, $22 or an omelette. Couldn't taste any champagne in my mimosa, and I got the check before my food came out. If you have money you just need to throw away, please don't go here and donate it to charitable organization. read more
