Incredibly disappointed. There was a group of 8 of us that went there for a birthday so we all got a wide range of food. Let me begin with saying that the atmosphere was nice, and our waitress did a fantastic job. The hiccup was the food, we had everything from the table side guacamole, queso, taco soup, carne Asada, fish tacos and more. The table side guacamole actually tasted really good, the issue was the avocado wasn't mashed up at all. It was giant chunks of avocado that were hard to eat. The queso tasted like just melted mozzarella cheese, it was super stringy when trying to get it onto a chip. As it sat there after a couple of minutes it all started to chunk up and stick to the bottom of the pan, we all agreed it was probably the worst queso we have ever had. The food took forever to get and once we got our food most of it was cold. The only person at our table that liked their meal was someone who ordered fish tacos, he said they were really good. The rest of us did not feel that our meal was worth the money at all. Speaking of money, everything was à la cart including the chips and salsa. The restaurant design itself is nice and there is a good ambiance but that's the extent of what was good here. My server was kind, but everything was slow and disorganized, a few times in the night we had servers bring us food that wasn't ours, which really isn't a big deal but it seemed as if it was everyone's first day. To start off there were a few clipped fingernails on my table which was disgusting. I got an appetizer that sounded good but was extremely unappealing, the Queso Fundido. It wasn't even eatable, it was a pan with a glob of stringy but not even melted cheese in the middle surrounded by liquid, it smelt pretty foul. There weren't appetizer plates to put any food on. The photo attached is of the queso fundido. My girlfriend and I both got the carne asada plate. About 35-40 minutes after getting our appetizer it came out. It came with rice, beans, the steak, and some vegetables. The portions were pretty small. The vegetables looked like they had been sitting in a hot box for a few hours before being served, they were dry but mushy at the same time. The rice was by no means fresh. It had been mixed at least 2 hours before served. I've worked at a few Mexican restaurants and rice can be preserved for quality for that long but this rice was not, it was cold and clumpy. The steak itself was ok, it was also cold when served. Not to mention when served we did not receive tortillas, a server came out a few minutes later and served them and said they forgot, they were soft corn tortillas but they arrived cold and crispy. You could've told me the meal was microwaved entirely. I wouldn't call this a Mexican restaurant by any means whatsoever, I wouldn't come here if you are in Spokane. There are plenty of other quality restaurants with better portions, professionalism, and food. read more

I understand that this place was destroyed by covid restrictions and that they have new owners, but if you ask for comments, you should respond. This was one of our favorite places and we were eager for them to reopen. However, we found that all the things we went there for were gone. No whiskey flights. Far smaller whiskey selection. The bread was not as good. The scallop appetizer was gone. The one thing on the menu that I wanted, was no longer available. I did not give the one star for all the things I missed...but for the lack of response to my comment card. I left my email and phone number, no response. A bit on the spendy side, but swanky enough to justify the cost. My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate and each had a whisky flight. Couldn't believe how many whisky options they had! If you don't know a lot about whisky, getting flights is a good option to help you figure out what you like. The main course was superb. I had the duck with gnocchi, and my boyfriend had the creamy garlic and basil gnocchi. I've seen people complaining about the portion sizes, but our portions were perfect. They also served complimentary bread as appetizer, which may be something new that they are doing in light of prior reviews. Finally, we tried the "Rolo" dome for dessert. My only regret is that I couldn't also try their port wine, but there is always next time. The food here is simply sub standard, especially for the price. We ordered the "table side guacamole served in a volcanic molcajete," it came to the table pre made (not made table side) and in a simple white bowl (not a volcanic molcajete). It was fine, nothing special and certainly not worth $14. We also ordered the queso fundito. It came in a small cast iron skillet. It wasn't terrible but it was very thick and required a fork to apply it to a (store bought) chip. It was not served with chorizo despite being advertised as such. To drink we ordered two flights of margaritas which were very strong and probably the highlight of the night. For entrees we ordered 3 types of tacos, one pork, one beef, and on fish. The fish one was absolutely awful. It tasted like the fish may have gone bad. All tacos were sereved with no sides on thin untreated corn tortillas. The beef one was okay the pork one somewhat edible. For desert we ordered the churros. They were not at all like churros. They tasted like old crumbly bread and were served with 3 dips of which only one was good. In the end we left $175 poorer, still hungry and wildly unsatisfied. We have been trying to come here for awhile now but it's always closed during the times we are in Spokane but since we stayed at the Grand we finally got to go!!! We went after the kitchen closed so we couldn't eat but we drank!!!! The 3 bartenders Alexian, ROY, and Shawn were ok you could tell they weren't excited about our loudness. They did a lot of making fun of us as discreetly as possible but whatever. I had a few of the pear drinks they are very very good. We ended the night at midnight because they close which was irritating because we were actively drinking all 8 of us and there was another table but that is their choice. Oh dear, oh dear. This place was a big let down. Came in here for drinks with some friends just before heading over to Terrain. I know that the restaurant was only a few weeks old at the time so I'd like to think I tried to experience the whole thing with an extra dose of understanding. Even so, I left sorely disappointed. Lets start with atmosphere: While I liked the wall decor and the seating was comfortable ( a BIG plus as some restaurants go for trendy-looking over feels-good-on-my-bum) the lighting was extremely low. The lights were so low in fact that we all had to pull out our phones just to read the menu. When you can't see the food they put in front of you and can barely make out your friend's face across the table then it's way too dark. Now for the drinks: Holy cow! Talk about spendy and not much to back up the bucks with either. $12 and $13 cocktails may be the going rate in Seattle or elsewhere on the West Coast but in Spokane you had better be serving me something exceptional if I'm going to pay that price. Instead the drinks were more volume than they were quality and taste. They came in large glasses...way too big in my opinion...with zero garnish. I can list off at least half a dozen other places in town that will serve me up a craft cocktail in the $8-$11 range that beats the pants off Table 13's Signature cocktails. I will say that the Whiskey Flights are nice. I tried the Buffalo Trace flight and enjoyed all three pours. Ok now for the food: We were really only here for drinks but decided to order the Charcuterie plate and the Grilled Brussel Sprouts. The charcuterie platter wasn't bad. The meat selection was good but the portions were so small that I felt a little embarrassed about trying to share with my table mates. The brussel sprouts were an utter disappointment. They were supposed to be grilled but the soggy state they arrived in makes that impossible to believe. Perhaps steamed and then tossed on the grill for a few minutes? Regardless, they were mushy and slimy and then coated in big chunks of parmesan. I tried half of one and passed on the rest. I left with $50 less in my pocketbook and an upset palette. The service was friendly if a bit slow and all-in-all I'm not sure what any one sees in this place besides the convenience for those who have a room upstairs? read more

Table 13 is a beautiful, modern restaurant and I really enjoyed being inside the space. Advertised as a whiskey bar and tapas restaurant I was disappointed when I saw their whiskey list. It had 60 American whiskeys but they were standard, well-known brands like Jack Daniel's, Fireball, Maker's Mark etc. They had some regional whiskey such as Dry Fly, but don't go here expecting to find something new and different. Strange for a "whiskey bar". Big let-down. The list is online if you want to decide for yourself. The other positives were the service and food! All of our plates had fantastic flavors and the menu items were definitely unique and fun. I would highly recommend the Potatoes Pave! This restaurant is quite interesting - the location, the atmosphere; it definitely screams sophisticated and higher end. They have a beautiful selection of wines, and an intriguing table set up for guests. However, the lighting was darker than what one would expect. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and gave suggestions about their food as one would expect. Food: The food was okay. For lack of a better word, it was just okay. The plates are priced for an expensive high end establishment, and although the appearance is high end, the food is not. Most plates were about $13, and dining with a group of people, it's embarrassing offering to try them as they are only good for a few nibbles. The food itself did not make us go "wow" or "I need this recipe." The food said, "well... It's a new dish, and it's not horrible." The staff did inform us that they would be bringing plates out as they were done and not together. That made it difficult to order additional plates. When everyone was done with current plates, new ones would come in and we had to stick around longer than what we would have wanted to. A one hour get together turned into a two-hour plus - the alcohol was overpriced and could have been improved. The alcohol was presented very nicely, but the quality and taste could have been better. Come here for a light business meeting only - lunch/dinner is not a good idea. You can treat yourself to something better across the street. read more

Solid 3.5 stars This gorgeous restaurant is tucked inside the equally stunning, Davenport Grand. Since I was staying at the Grand for the night, Table 13 seemed like a perfect dinner option. You can enter either from the street (separate entrance) or through the hotel. Upon entering you are immediately transported to a dimly lit, old school atmosphere. The rustic light fixtures mixed with the various wood tones reminded me of Restoration Hardware. Tall leather booths make you feel like you're having a private conversation. There are plenty of large tables that would be ideal for large parties. If I lived closer- this would be a great birthday or GNO location. The ambiance alone is a reason to stop by. They are a tapas & whiskey bar. They had an extensive whiskey list, but I skipped it and went straight to their wine list. Plenty of options (actually the exact same as the hotel bar, by the glass) tucked inside a beautiful glass wine room. The tapas style means small plates and I would recommend about 2 dishes per person. We ended up ordering 4 dishes for two people and were pretty full. Now the food was just ok. Nothing I haven't had before or was a "must try". The food was really mediocre. Maybe the ambiance and high price point set me up with high expectations? Maybe I ordered the wrong items? The good news there is the menu is pretty large where I would try other options next time. Even their "fan favorite" dessert, the Rolo Dome, was just ok. Traditional chocolate mousse- needed texture and something (anything!) to balance the overwhelming sweetness. I plan to make the Davenport Grand my hotel of choice so I will definitely be back for other menu items or just swing by for happy hour. read more

He has trained under some of the best and completed culinary school in California, it's obvious he knows, and loves, what he is doing. I checked this place out during the 1st night I stayed at The Davenport Grand in September, I liked the rustic yet upscale look of this restaurant, and I liked the New Orleans jazz and blues that was playing. Came here for their happy hour! Really nice set up, it's very different and modern. Lots of privacy when it's not too busy. Originally heard, "everything" was half price on their Happy Hour, however come to find out it's just alcohol, no food. I was a little disappointed on that note. Service was quick and friendly. The food is a bit pricey, especially for small plates (appetizer sizes) and you have to order a few to fill up. The food however was DELICIOUS! Everything had great flavors and came out hot and fresh. The shoestring potatoes live up to their reputation, so definitely recommend ordering those! The sliders and poke crisps were second favorite for me, followed by the tacos. The drinks were strong and well worth the happy hour price to get you feeling good! Definitely recommend trying Table 13, at least once! I know I will be back. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 just for pricing, small plates make it not very appealing for a normal go to restaurant for me with the prices. read more

I love the Davenport Grand, but I was super let down this morning at breakfast. During my stay, I had a voucher for breakfast at Table 13, which included a continental breakfast or up to $12.50 off any menu items. Our poor experience could have been partly our own doing. Being the frugal person I am, I stuck with the continental breakfast, which included a fruit juice, muffin, and coffee/tea. Yes, two drinks and a muffin cost $12 at Table 13 if I didn't have a voucher. Way over priced for a muffin that was just your run of the mill muffin. My friend decided to go with the $12.50 oatmeal. It came with a cup of brown sugar that he had to scrape with a spoon just to get a few morsels out of. It's like they were pre dispensed and frozen before giving them out. The oatmeal also came with some fresh fruit. The major let down was the rock solid brown sugar. Again, $12.50 for oatmeal. I understand it's the restaurant in the Davenport and it's not a Fairfield Inn, but the quality of food better be better than the Fairfield Inn free breakfast and it wasn't. read more

Took recommendation from the bar manager (Chris?) and had a fresh-squeezed grapefruit drink and the street tacos. The flavors in the tacos were on point. Decided to try this place for restaraunt week, made reservations online (note they take a card and if you cancel or dont show they charge $10/person). We get there at 1745 and there is no one at front counter literally there for about 10 min before decide to search for someone. They told us we could sit anywhere we want and that a reservation doesnt matter. Service was light, thankfully they bring crafts of water to the table or youd go without. The ambience is really nice in there tho. Fancy/modern/cozy vibe. For food I ordered the mushroom empanada, it was ok, but the texture of the filling might have bothered some. Then i had the shrimp and grits. They were very good, but you only get 3 shrimp so if your real hungry maybe not the best choice. Presentation was nice. Lots of garlic, gave me significant heartburn tho. For desert (pictured) i had the rolo desert, and it was excellent! Probably wont go back just because there are lots of other places to try and I was bothered by the reservation thing ( totally forgot to ask about how they check you off the list to keep from billing you). read more

We sat ourselves as directed and waited over 5 minutes before we saw anyone and when we did it was when the table that sat after us got their menus. We told the server that we were ready and he then explained us how it works there and then asked if we needed a few more minutes. Our food came out and when I mentioned we had one more item the expo said "Oh I'll check on it" when our server came up I again mentioned I had not received my other app that my two friends did.
