Timeline of events: Mon 2/16: Workers were scheduled for 9:30am but didn't arrive until after 1pm. They re-measured the frame, left to pick up doors (which we were told would already be ordered), and returned saying they were too large and needed shaving, pushing work to the next day. Tue 2/17: The worker arrived on time, but after installation we noticed cracks in the frame and a large gap between the doors where they barely latched. We reported it immediately and were told Alberto would come Thursday. Thu 2/19: Alberto worked all day and said there were finishing touches for Friday. We weren't thrilled with the result but were willing to move forward just to get our son's nursery functional again. Fri 2/20: Alberto admitted the installation had been done incorrectly and the damaged frame needed to be completely redone because the doors wouldn't work long term. While we appreciated the honesty, this reset the project timeline again. He said he'd return Saturday morning. Sat 2/21: At around 8:50am the appointment was rescheduled to Monday. Mon 2/23: We texted at 8:40am to confirm timing. Our message was read but not answered until 10:30am, and he didn't arrive until around 2pm due to another appointment. Tue 2/24: More frame work and putty were applied with instructions to allow a day to dry. Thu 2/26: Painters arrived as scheduled, but Alberto said he couldn't come until Friday and gave no clear arrival window. Fri 2/27: We asked for an ETA so we could plan around our 4-month-old's nap schedule. We were told 2pm, but the worker showed up at 1:15pm, waking the baby. He also didn't have proper tools and spent about five hours chiseling wood out of the door by hand just to get the bolts to fit. That same day we also experienced a serious safety concern. One worker used a metal circular saw indoors, sending sparks flying inside our home. When we raised concerns, the foreman dismissed it and incorrectly claimed sparks from cutting metal cannot start a fire. This got me mad and I did raise my voice. Instead of accountability, the conversation became defensive, including comments that they were "doing us a favor" fixing work we never requested- work that was only necessary because of the original installation mistakes. Our attempt to speak with Benny, the GC, was also frustrating. He repeatedly talked over us while saying he wanted to ensure we were happy, which felt disingenuous given the lack of listening or accountability. Sun 3/1: Alberto returned but left again for another three-hour stretch before finally coming back to complete the job. Nearly two weeks later, the doors were finally operational. Afterward we were told they were losing money because the project took longer and required redoing work. That is not the customer's responsibility. From day one we simply wanted the job done correctly. Throughout the process there were missed arrival windows, last-minute schedule changes, safety concerns, and little respect for our time or the disruption to our household. We also had to closely monitor workmanship due to frame damage and installation defects. I'm sure the company will respond, but everything described here is accurate and documented. This experience was exhausting and unnecessarily drawn out. If you value clear communication, punctuality, professionalism, and safe work practices done right the first time, I would strongly caution against using this company.

From the start of the design project, they used high quality sub contractors for design, engineering, and all the trades in the house. Fernando, our project manager was incredible. He approached the project with a keen eye for details and took total ownership over the sub contractors. He would stop by almost every night to ensure that the subs were performing their work and not leaving or damaging any other contractors' work. Sarmad is a problem solver. He sees an issue and thinks through how to solve it, then presents clear options to choose from. Throughout the process, we were not surprised by unanticipated expenses - all changes were clearly explained and we had the option to make changes via clear change orders. EDR uses Buildertrend for all program management and billing, which made payments, change approvals, and scheduling tracking seamless. While this sounds like a basic requirement in 2026, not all contractors use these services which just adds friction to the process. We couldn't recommend EDR more for the quality of work on our house, the schedule execution, care for detail, and just taking care of our project. Along the way, we never felt nickel & dimed, and the value of their services definitely exceeded our expectations.

Their quote technically expired after 30 days, so no issues and wouldn't work with them now anyway, but would have appreciated a more proactive communication and some appreciation for the fact that their service area changed with no notice (and they knew they had an outstanding bid in the area they no no longer serve). For sure they get to take whatever work they want, but my experience was overall not great.
