T Nails and Spa is my go-to nail salon! I drive from over 30 minutes away just to come here! As picky as I am, this salon always meets all of my needs! It's clean and very peaceful. They have massage chairs to sit in while you get a pedi and plastic liners for the bowl to switch out between each client. I come here for and mani/pedi and I'm so confident in my nail tech, Tee, that I don't even feel the need to check her work. I tell her what I want and I just get to sit back and relax. Brand new nail salon in Glenmont/Wheaton. Went to check it out for my first mani/pedi in 2+ years. It was quiet and not overly busy but did have a steady stream of customers. They are giving 10% off for their grand opening right now! Pedi was great and I went ahead and upgraded to the spa pedi. It was nice - could have done with the steamed towels longer . She did a great job. And they have coke which made me super happy!! Manicure was good but not the best I've ever had. I just did regular polish and a wee bit more attention could have been paid to that last clear coat. The ladies switched who was taking care of me in the middle of the mani. ‍ All in all I will be back. It's nice to have a clean and friendly place to go to. read more

Super upset as I write this. I came in early noon and was the only customer they had. My tech was the older lady with short straight hair and bangs. I asked for gel manicure with 2 nails being french. Mind you, I've been a customer of this salon for the past 2 years and I will NEVER come back again. I've never felt so anxious getting my nails done, watching the tech paint my nails. Simply put, terrible job. Besides making me bleed on one of my nails and accidentally poking my finger with the cuticle trimmer, she rushed the manicure. I kept pointing out how exactly I wanted my french and how the line wasn't clean, she and I eventually got annoyed at each other by the end. She did the job haphazardly and it's upsetting knowing damn well I was the ONLY customer that they had. She couldn't even bother cleaning up the polish that was on my skin and not my nail bed. I've never walked out a nail salon hating my freshly manicured nails. I'm on my way to go get it taken off and redone by another nail salon! I just had an excellent pedicure done by Cindy. I called ahead to make an appointment (the online system didn't work) and I was seen right at 10. Cindy took her time and I got the T-Spa pedicure. When Cindy finished, she had me sit back and dry in the seat without being rushed out of the place. I have been looking for a nail salon near home, and I've found my spot. Wow! So, I tend have loved every recent salon I visited. But I think this will be the permanent spot. I had Andy do my nails and he was amazing. He was a perfectionist and very professional. I am usually iffy about male employees but he made me feel comfortable. The massage was awesome and my nails looks great. He didn't skip on anything. The salon is clean and quiet. No blaring TV. No constant chatter. There was music and relaxing images (I think it was flowers) on the Tv screen. The products used felt high quality. They also bring you a sample of their polishes to choose from so there is no customers clamoring over the polish selection. I also made an appointment and was attended to timely. I honestly will never be returning here again. Worst customer services ever. I walked in, and patiently waited for someone to greet us. When finally greeted, they asked us what we wanted to get done. I kindly said 4 pedicures and the ladies just laughs, and proceeds to speak to her coworker in Spanish. Gratefully I speak Spanish too. They don't tell us if they'll be able to fit us in or not so we just wait and then they have us walk to the back. When walking back , one of the Hispanic ladies mean mugs me, and that was my last straw. I ended up not getting my nails done here, but we were in a time crunch bc we had an event the next day. I was looking for a nail salon closer to my house for a last minute nail appointment and found T Nail & Spa. They accommodated me for an appointment the same afternoon and had great customer service. Tee did my powder dip ombré nails and she did a fantastic job. They also have a wide variety of powder dip mail colors to choose from. The salon has relaxing music and relaxing scenery on the tv so you can actually unwind. Tee was very easy to talk to and very kind. She used a specific powder on my nails that was less toxic since I am expecting. Very thoughtful gesture. She has a perfectionist's eye so my nails came out perfect. I will definitely be back. We had every different type of explanation, showed pictures and yet they couldn't differentiate between purple and brown. My girl clearly asked for grey with brown marble and they left her with white and purple glitter which we didn't ask for. The nail was bulgy at the tip, so much residue at the start of the nail, just bad quality overall. Then she's gonna be talking crap in her language about my girl saying "she doesn't like it", I mean like come on, if she couldn't do it from the start it would've been a time saver. I came in for a dip powder with tip appointment with my mom, who didn't have an appointment on a Saturday morning and thought it would be packed. However, it wasn't and my mother and I were shown to nail techs right away. Big shoutout to Andy, who did such an amazing cherry blossom set on me that I adore. I came in today for a simple gel polish change...I guess the girl didn't want to do my nails ..she had an attitude from the start ..then when she starts drilling my nail...i say something and she tells me to move to another nail tech. The guy who took over apologized for her behavior but it was unacceptable. I'd been going there on the regular for a while and never had that experience. Took off my precious powder dip nails by shoving a fake nail under it to rip it off which seriously hurts even after repeatedly asking them not to (there is a reason to file them then wrap them). Additionally dip is applied with a brush in 1 thick layer instead of actually dipping. Cut my cuticles multiple times and ultimately was extremely uneven. The location is clean and slows down after the early afternoon rush on weekdays- a few discrepancies with the price list vs what they charge you, but you have to know when to speak up/ask questions in all nail salons. Clients , please be careful ! I am so concerned about the behavior of some of their nail techs especially the Hispanic ones. It seems that having excellent tips is their main concerns. One thing they fail to realize, a client can be generous enough to leave them a tip, but that is not something they are entitled to especially when hey show lack of professionalism. I went there twice. In both occasions, they lied on their prices and had me pay extra money. I let that pass because I could afford it. I can also imagine the scandal they could make of it if someone had come to their salon and was not able to pay the service fees. The first time I went, ONE TOLD ME TO PAY $15 extra bucks to remove each fake nail that was left from a previous job. Since i had four left, you easily can do the math. I did not agree to that. So I did a filling. At the end, she raised the fee. I was schocked. When I asked for a receipt, she said that the machine had an issue. I stayed there for three to five minutes, All she could say was " I can't print it." So, I left hoping that the next time, she will be less gready. My second time was yesterday evening. Another Hispanic tech scammed me . Then said they do not give receipt to clients when they pay cash. What kind of crap is that? They are greedy! I should ask for the manager. For some reason, I did not. BIG MISTAKE ! Ladies have some scrupule. Stop scamming the clients. Otherwise at one point, the place will go out of business. Clients , please be careful, Money is nothing but if you enter a salon you don''t have it in your wallet, you suppose to take the exit door. Here's why I am not sure if it's the language barrier, but the person I was talking to on the phone started yelling back when I wanted to confirm the time for my appointment. Secondly, I've showed up at the time they said they had opening and waited for about 15-20mins or even 30 minutes. Now that may not seem like a lot, but it is when you are just getting a fill in done. Thirdly I believe this was my 4th visit there and I asked for a vertical ombré style on my set and let's just say I walked out with something entirely different! I wish I have pictures to share but I have since deleted them. When I got home I saw that the polish was lifting and then the next day I found another salon to go to for them to fix it and went with another style. The morale of the story here is manage your expectations and I should have known when I saw how it was turning out to probably stop and ask to do a solid color. This just wasn't her area of expertise. I showed my sister she was like "no that's not what you asked for." Fourthly, I had scheduled an appointment with a lady I prefer to do my nails although I haven't had the best experience with her, anyways I came quit late to my appointment because I was already thinking if I showed up right the time of my appointment I would have to wait anyways. So I sat there and for about 10 minutes of me sitting there no one said hello or how can help you at the door. It felt cold and hostile. Finally the young lady I had scheduled an appointment with came and Said "how can I help you and before I could respond that I needed I fill in she cuts in and says "do you have an appointment... you came late so...." and she took the lady that was sitting next to me. I felt her attitude was rude and stand offish! And if I'm not mistaken she was wrapping up with work in the back before I showed up. So I was left sitting there no one offered another time there's availability for me to reschedule. I was on the fence about this place. I got a mani and pedi (dipping powder for my nails, reg polish toes). I went maybe an hour before close, I had a little wait. One person started and someone else finished because I guess since it closed they didn't want my tech to stay to finish, so one lady did the designs on one hand. I liked the first better, but it was late and i was ready to go so I didn't make an issue out if it. My nails lasted which I truly appreciated. But here's where my issue lies. I banged my finger really bad and the way I hit it I expected that my nail would have just broke but I didn't, but it was hard enough that it was bleeding from underneath. So I was even more impressed WELLLLLL, now I know why when I went and hit my nails done this time somewhere else, when they soaked what I thought was dipping powder off, they told me I had acrylic on my nails. I did NOTask for or want acrylic. When the lady was doing my nails I asked her specifically what she was doing because she applied it like acrylic, she said no. I'm getting my nails done like wow I've never seen anyone apply dipping powder like acrylic, that's because she lied when I asked, I didn't have dipping powder at all, she did my nails and applied gel polish for the designs I was getting. read more
