The service here was amazing. The technicians went out of their way to make our party comfortable. We did the Mani - Pedi & it came with complementary Paraffin Wax. Overall - Great Experience. read more

Envy Nails And Spa - Nails - Powder with gel - Nail Salons Near Me - Kensington, Maryland

I've been going to Envy Nails for years and consistently get a solid manicure and pedicure. It's a no frills salon but affordable and the employees are always so nice and accommodating. I bring my young daughter, who always chooses multiple colors and they patiently let her. I had one issue once with the color of my gel and they kindly redid it. This is definitely my go-to for a good mani/pedi. read more

I feel blessed to have been a customer that had a great experience here. The environment itself is very clean, nicely decorated, and relaxing. My husband and I visited Envy Nails and Spa yesterday evening to treat ourselves to pedicures. Staff were pleasant and personable. The young lady who did my nails was very kind! Both nail technicians did excellent jobs on our feet. I also loved how they took our time with us although we came in an hour before closing. My toes look great (I will upload pictures shortly after this review)! Ohhh and they offer complimentary wine. Both the red and white are a bit bitter for my taste, but I still indulged and enjoyed having a drink as I got my feet done. There prices are good, too! It cost $25. Be sure to join their rewards programs to earn some points! We will be back in a month or two. read more

I've been driving by this place for years wondering who would go there because the parking is horrible and the building is dingy. But reviews on google were strangely good so I decided to give it a try for a pedicure. Can'r argue with the price ($25), and the two ladies there were very nice, but my pedicure wasn't great and the place was very empty and weirdly quiet. It was 11 on a rainy Saturday, but there was only one other person there. And as expected, the parking lot is awful. Maybe they're really good at gel manicures or something, but I won't be going back. read more

Establishment is clean and quiet. No parking, employees take up all parking in front of building. I was asked by 4 different people what I was getting, once I was seated after about 5 minutes into my polish being removed nail tech told me she had a client and someone else would do my nails and got up and left. Very unprofessional. I will not be returning The picture is how I left read more

New business, just opened on Friday! Fantastic job on my toes, once I'm done adding them to yelp I'll get my manicure! :) still pretty bare bones, but will offer hair, massage and facial services as well within about a month. I've been in a few times since this first review, and I've had great experiences every time. I came in today and it's the first time I've ever had to wait. My regular pedicurist isn't here today, so I'm hoping for the best. read more

Terrible. I asked for a Paraffin pedicure and they didn't do half the stuff that I paid for. I told them what they missed and they still charged me. I won't be back. Honestly it sucks because I don't have a lot of time to treat myself. Don't waste your time or money here, they don't care. read more

I could not get in to see Kelly (she was off till Wednesday ), but thanks to the yelp reviews I saw Ana instead. SHE IS AMAZING! I was in the hospital for 23 days and was released the day before thanksgiving. With all of the medications plus having Haemolytic Anaemia my hair and nails are prone to breakage. She was patient in removing the Dip color which I had on for almost a month (which I am sure was not easy) and was able to repair a couple of tears. If you ever need a fantastic mani by people who are professional knowledgeable of their craft, definitely see Ana or Kelly! read more

I love this place. It's clean, the people are friendly, and the color offerings are unmatched. The parking isn't so great so I avoid popular times, but I drive 30 minutes to get my nails done here because of the customer service. They take their time and I never feel rushed. This is my go-to spot when I want to feel pampered. read more

Accommodated me without an appointment. They took good precautions with hand sanitizer and a plastic shield between the customer and the person doing doing your nails. Nails still look good a week later! read more

I love coming here! I always get Ana she's amazing! I've also had Kelly and Andy and they are amazing at doing my manicure. Make sure to make an appointment with them since it can get busy especially only the weekend. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the parking can be horrible. read more

Do not let the facade fool you! The inside of Envy is modern, hip and very clean. It was empty on a Saturday late morning and despite poor reviews- I decided to give it a try. The pedicure was nicely done- with a lovely leg and foot massage, for a very reasonable cost. The basins are lined with plastic wrap. If you like massage chairs- these are state of the art. Only drawback- the water with which to soak was just warm, not hot like I like! It seems like the new manager is working to improve and I appreciate the effort! read more

So I was looking for a new pedi place since my place closed down and happened to come across this place. The reviews were good so I figured I would check it out. I was not disappointed! The place is nice. Kelly did my pedi. Great job and very nice woman. They have specials and give away free stuff. They also have wine after 4! Soft music plays in the background to sooth you-very relaxing place! Highly recommended. Please note they are under New management! Good job new owners! Oh I forgot to mention! Very hygienic-most of the tools used are one time use only! read more

It says the place is open at 10am. I'm outside and this place is still close. If you're going to advertise that your place is open at 10 am, I would recommend to open at said time. It's my first time coming in here too, it's a shame that you've potentially lost a loyal customer. read more

I had to get my nails done, and since I'm in the neighborhood, I stopped in. Gotta love a Monday special! The place is super clean. I've never seen a nail place this clean. I wanted to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I picked the gel color, but I wanted a matching toe color. No such luck. The manicurist told me to go look. I'm used to manicurists helping me match the color since they know. I picked something close. She started doing my pedicure, and she was thorough. Once she started doing my manicure, I noticed that she takes her time but does great work. Two weeks later, my nails still look amazing. I will definitely returned! read more

I came in for a mani & pedi. One of the girls that works there is super sweet. They treat you like a queen. Their complimentary drinks really go a long way especially in this heat. The paraffin wax was so new to me & I love it. Doesn't burn you nor does it have a bad odor. Love my experience & not to mention they have a reward system that I've never seen in other nail salons read more

I had called them to ask them how much a full set would be they told me $25 over the phone. I went and for a full set that was not even long was $40. At first the man tried to charge me $45. It's been 6 days and my nails have already grew out. I am very unsatisfied. read more

Dont go there staff is rude. I went there a couple of times for pedicures but there not anything to write home about. I went a few weeks ago and no one spoke to me, they were a bit busy so i left. Yesterday i go back for a simple manicure with gel. There is one customer getting her feet done and one girl drying her nails. The tech puts the wrap on my hands to soak of the polish. 3 minutes later 2 ladies walk in for pedi's my tech tells me to soak for 10 minutes. He then leaves and starts one of the pedicures. 15 minutes later im still sitting there so i take the wraps off and leave. They are rude and never have to worry about me spending any money there. read more

I decided to visit Envy Nails and Spa, since it was close to home and to treat myself before my birthday party. I made an appointment and came in around 3. They told me that they could not take me in because the women who was going to do my nails (the only one who does acrylics) wasn't going to come in. Instead of calling me and telling me this. It not only wasted my time but ruined my day. There way of handling the situation was horrible, very rude. And the girl just looked at me shrugged and kept eating her lunch. Would never go back here! read more

This place is hit or miss. My daughter was there for a mani and pedi and had a good experience. I went in this past week for a manicure. I was not impressed. These are the facts: The salon had only one customer when I arrived so I got in right away. The first man who started on my nails got up suddenly only after taking my nail polish off. He didn't excuse himself or even say anything to me. He left and the other man who was there took over. I told him I have very sensitive cuticles that are prone to peeling when cut and he proceeded to push them back with a metal cuticle pusher barely acknowledged my comment. This was Thursday. Today is Sunday and already not only is the polish chipping but my cuticles are reacting and peeling back from the harshness of the manicure. I think I'll go elsewhere next time. One star for quick service and one for cleanliness and ambience. But nothing for the manicure. read more

I really don't want to give this place only one star b/c the woman attending me was sweet; but it really was a bad experience. FULL DISCLOSURE; my friend has had and had a very good experience with this salon. I came in this morning with my friend, who gets her nails done here. We arrived at the salon at 9:30, their opening time. No one was in the store. Some employees finally arrived around 9:50. Anyways, I informed my technician that I wanted gel nails. She applied the colored nail polish. I noticed that on one of my fingers the tip was obviously smudged. I said "o, the tip is a bit ruined". She replied her (exact words) "O ya, do you want me to fix it." Um, no I thoroughly enjoy paying money for a sloppy nail job. So after that, I put my hand under the uv light and proceeded with the other hand. Then she applied like a biz-zillion layers of top coat. Okay, not that much maybe like 4. If that wasn't enough to make me think something was wrong another technician came over and started staring at my nails. Then my friends' technician came over to stare at my nails. They both stood there looking at my nails for a couple of seconds then my friends technician thought it was necessary to add on another layer of top coat. After that, I put my hands under the uv light and a couple of seconds later my finger nails started getting a burning sensation. No joke. I have never in my life experienced that before. Of course I quickly pulled them out. So, around 12:00, I noticed on one of my nails that the color chipped off. It hasn't even been a full 24 hours and on 5 of my fingers the polish has chipped off. FIVE people. Just in case your bad at math, that's half of my fingers. I guess it goes without saying that I won't be coming back here. read more

Had a great service today! Received a mani-pedi from Ana. Right when I sat down, I was offered a drink (water, tea). Ana was extremely detail orientated and took her time doing my nails. I would highly recommend her. Thanks for the pampering. read more

Tried to up-charge me for filing my nails rounded. Yes I stated it correctly. She nicked my fingers with the file no less than 6 times then she tried to pull that BS. She was on her phone several times, incoming and outgoing. I refused to give her the extra $5 to file my nails round that she didn't even tell me about, so she told me she wasn't going to polish my nails. The other techs came to my defense and finished my nails. According to them she tries to pull this all the time. IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN H... BEFORE I PAY YOU AN EXTRA $5 TO FILE MY NAILS ROUNDED INSTEAD OF SQUARE Tech was Hispanic Female about 40. NOTE TO THE OWNER HAVE YOU FIGURED OUT WHY YOU ARE NOT BUSY YET!!! I have been to your store 5 times and each time it is not busy. People don't want to have their tech on the phone while they are working on their nails. People do not want to be nickel and dimmed. read more

2 stars only becus the lady did a fairly decent job wit my gel mani, and my pedi. A job tht usually cost $65ish ws only $45ish here. What I did notice, unlike other salons there ws no "atmosphere". For a first time guest, my tech didn't welcome me at all. They literally handed us the tv remote, as if we cld just entertain ourselves. My tech literally looked like she didn't want to be there, and my friends tech ws face timing DURING his mani. Thn they actually used hand soap doing my pedicure. Softsoap to be exact. And if tht wasnt enough....they proceeded to clean to pedicure bowl with it as well! No Clorox or nothing! I ws digusted, bt my pedicure ws over by tht time, so I jus kept it cool. Not to mention the top of my foot itches, I cld only imagine why. Will I go back? Mayb not. #you get wat you pay for read more

I am editing my review because as nice as they were, my manicure polish fell apart in a day. I think it may be the base coat because my pedicure stayed nice for a couple weeks. I returned and asked them to remove my badly chipping polish and they offered to repolish. Unfortunately, the same thing happened and I took it off myself the next day. Original review: Drove by here and saw the ad for a $24.99 mani/pedi -- I never see that in the DC area so I tried to stop. The problem is that parking is very limited and there aren't many street parking spots within a couple blocks of the place. I drove by twice and finally saw open spaces an hour before closing. I had a mani/pedi done by Ann Tran and it's the best that I can remember in recent history. She was very meticulous, and being a perfectionist myself, I was happy to see how much care she put into her work -- especially because I'm the one who has to live with it. I don't know how good the other technicians are, but it was telling when one lady came back to ask that polish be removed from her fingers. I felt I had lucked out by getting Ann and I'll definitely be back to see her specifically. read more

Envy Nails has been my go-to nail salon for over 2 years. They are by far the most well priced, most friendly, welcoming, and experienced salon in the area. Quinton has been doing my nails (very long acrylic and often extremely detailed designs) these past 2 years however I trust everyone in there doing my nails if Quinton is ever unavailable (which is rare bc I always call and make an appointment w him). My friend convinced me to go to her salon in Wheaton Mall and I felt like I was cheating on Envy.. but I thought it would be cool to check out a new place. TERRIBLE IDEA!! For the same acrylic fill-in and color this place charged me $30 MORE than Envy and that was after negotiating. They also looked terrible (compared to when I leave Envy) and paint started chipping away literally 2 days later. This confirmed that i'm never going anywhere else other than Envy. Also, did i mention they serve wine?!?!? YOU MUST GIVE ENVY A CHANCE! read more

The service here is awful. I went the other day and the woman who did my nails was not paying attention and the water tub for my pedicure overflowed all over the floor. I was calling to her to come over and she ignored me. She texted her husband or boyfriend the whole time she was doing my nails (I know this because she also called him on speakerphone), despite wearing gloves. Great hygiene. And then another customer walked in at 7:15pm. They are open till 8pm and she told her they were closed. The woman said, "I thought you were open until 8pm" and she said no. Ridiculous. If you are open until 8pm, have more than one person working till 8pm so you can actually see customers till 8pm. I am sorry, other woman, as they were open till 8 and she just lied to you. read more

So I came here on a Sunday and they only had 2 people working...with that being said I waited a long time but it was worth it. Even though they were busy the took there time and did an excellent job. Ive had acrylic tips for 8 years and decided to let my nails breathe so i had them take off my tips and I did the mani pedi for 25 and they turned out great even though my nails are thin as paper. I will come back here now doubt. Very clean and super nice staff. read more
