ZERO RATING!! My son's toes became infected this year after a nail tech performed what was suppose to be a child's pedicure. I asked were they able to remove an ingrown nail, so they proceeded with the service. The manager told me that the tech says my son came in with an infected toe. LIES!! Soemone from your business responded to my review stating I was made aware of the potential danger and I proceeded. NEVER!! ALL LIES! I have full video that I wasn't aware of at the time, but my autistic son records everything. I have video and photos of her putting some type of liquid on his toe after it started to bleed. I was offered a redo after healing but my child is terrified of going back. I wanted a genuine apology, along with a refund. All we got was an infected toe. It doesn't even look like a pedicure was even performed at all. They lost an entire family of 4 as clients. Also, why would any parent take their child back to a place that militated their toe and took no responsibility to apologize? It seems you all are afraid of any potential law suit to cover my damages and bill. You all are taking your workers word over a paying client. Buddha and GOD don't like ugly. First let me tell you this is no longer a Spa, if you want an overly expensive service for your money then you found the right spot.. Your service will be unprofessional rushed also you may unknowingly have fungus bacteria like I did when you leave. So- I seen ALOT of people in here one day so I decided to give it a try. I asked for a gel manicure and the guy proceeded to give me dip powder. I wanted a specific design (a design I had before) and I showed it to him. He told me that it was a dip power design and I was like ummmmmm no it's not. He said he could only do it with dip powder because it would look better. My total would've been $135. I was not expecting to be in the chair for what was going on 90 mins. I asked him how much would it be if I removed the outline design from my original ask, and he said it was only $9 for the line. I then asked, so what would my total be now. He said $100 that made no sense at all!! So I was clearly about to be overcharged. Overall my experience was not a positive one. I got out of there like 2 HOURS later! Is that the normal time for dip powder? Either way it's a no for. I'm not going back. I left Dicks sporting Goods and seen this nail spa and i've not been this month and i'm new to the area so i try this place. it seemed to be a nice place so i went to the counter and told the lady i wanted a manicure and pedicure and i got the most expensive service for the pedicure which was 90 bucks..... the lady started doing my feet and half way through she starts rushing then she gets to the hot stones and she comes back and say i don't have time for your manicure can you come back ..... what was my response to her and she sat there and looked dumb she then leaves to go put the bowl up she had the stoned in she came back and said ok your all done mind you she had not buffed sanded or filled the top of my nails to smooth it to put a clear coat nor was it offered but she went and sat down at a nail station and started doing someone else's nails. until she all of them seen my face then she comes saying ok she will finish. but i was frustrated and angry and she still tried to charge me full price for a service she never completed...... this was by far the worst service i've had in getting my nails done and i would not recommend this place to anyone read more

See, this is exactly why I love yelp and why it's super important to read reviews. I wanted to prep for a gala event, by a simple gel mani and pedi. I was a bit turned off by their latest reviews however, I decided to form my own opinion, so I stopped by on my lunch break. I asked the gentleman at the front who was doing nails, if I could make an appointment for later that evening. He then turn to another employee and spoke to her in their language, relaying my request. Their exchange was awkward. It was clear that the lady had an attitude and she was sassy, I couldn't believe it. This lady walked from her seat, up to the front where I stood, which was in front of the guy who was doing nails. lol y'all, this lady walk right past me, never acknowledge me or said hello. She just continued to speak with the guy. So I was directed by the guy to their cash register area, where the lady then asked me what I wanted to get done, I told her gel mani pedi, she point out a special that I told her I wasn't interested in. I asked how much was a gel mani pedi, this lady with a very obvious attitude, snatches their books of prices and slammed it on the counter! I laughed and as I walked out, she had the audacity to ask me what I wanted to get, I promptly responded and said I would never spend my money here, with your bad attitude. My pedicure began at 12:10 pm. We both selected a $71 pedicure. My pedicurist a man- was moving quickly and rough- not at all a $71 a experience. But I blame myself for not scheduling at a true spa. I cannot stop giving praises to this salon, and the dedicated staff that work endless hours making me feel like a "Superstar". I have frequented this salon every 2 weeks for the past year. Each and every time, I am greeted with a smile, and the upmost care is taken to ensure I am completely satisfied before I leave. Being a male who likes to express himself through body art and nail designs, Johnathan, the owner of this fine establishment has never failed me. With each visit, I'm amazed at all the care he takes in making me feel beautiful. He is and forever will be the only person to do my nails. Now, don't get me wrong, all the staff do great quality work, but we all have our favorites, and he is mine. I have never witnessed any of the staff being rude to clients. Subsequently, I have witnessed the clients being rude to the staff. Being in the business of customer service, we have always been taught that "the customer is always right. I have been going to this nail salon for about three years. The person who used to do my nails moved but I continues to go and get my nails done. Yesterday, I thought I had an appointment but when I walked in no one greeted me so, I waited patiently. I made an appointment for my 10 year old daughter to get her nails done for her birthday. I ended up having to go to the person who I thought I had an appointment with and I said that I was waiting because I scheduled an appointment. He said he did not have an appointment and asked me to wait 10 minutes. Well it was not 10 minutes it was more like 40 minutes. While we were waiting someone asked to take off my daughter's nails while we were waiting. Once it was time for my daughter to get her nails done I showed the person the date and time that I made the appointment. We went back and forth and then he proceeds to start doing the full set and we had not agreed on the price based on the picture. I tried to walk away because I knew I was getting frustrated and he kept talking. Ultimately, he then said he was not going to do my daughtee's nails and walk off. I then said someone needs to takeoff the tips that he had put on. He comes back and starts taking off the tops. I told him he does not have to worry about me or my daughter coming back. Update: I called to ask to fix the nails and was texted and told that because I expressed my dissatisfaction on Yelp that I couldn't be made happy. I think visiting a salon twice is enough chance to form an opinion on quality. ------ They did a good job on my last pedicure but the fill in for my acrylics was terrible. As you can see in the photos the length of the thumb nails are completely different and the shapes are inconsistent. My nails were pretty long before this so I thought the fill in for a short set would be easy to shape. I had to keep ask for shaping adjustments. At one point a ton of acrylic was left under my nails by one of the techs which took forever to fix. I'll go back for a pedicure but not acrylics. I'm going to think hard and long before I come back. I've always enjoyed coming here. The techs do great pedicures and nails. However, there's a limitation on the skill sets. Not all the techs do acrylic or trendy nails. Which means you have to make appointments and schedule appointments. At first I thought the scheduling thing was a covid related thing. However, it's not. After the way my friend was treated before our vacation, I knew I needed to find another place anyway. So I asked for an appointment for Friday, and the scheduler never scheduled the appointment. He informed me that today, Saturday morning, would be available. I asked for pedicure and fill-in. Now I'm late, which I can hold myself accountable for. However, I asked if it was ok, he said yes. My thoughts were now I no longer need the pedicure so I have time. As I'm pulling up, the tech calls and says she can't accommodate me. Then she says she does not have me on the schedule for a pedicure. What if I really needed a pedicure? What's the point of booking an appointment if 1. The phone number isn't in service and 2. If they have you down for the correct services. Lily always had a slight attitude when I would ask for things like to see a color or if she put lotion on after my service and she always had a nasty attitude but I went and always tipped her. The last time she was very rude and got upset because she thought I booked a pedicure when I didn't. I had an appointment today at 12 and they called me this morning saying she was booked. Why was my appointment cancelled? The owner called me back and said she didn't fell comfortable doing my nails. Why call the day of? And not offer another time? The nail tech proceeds to wrap my nails in the foil to take off the old gel polish. While I was waiting another nail tech sits at the table. I really appreciated having Dakota Nail Spa in walking distance of my home....until today when I watched one of our seniors being disrespected and practically cursed out by one of the male nail technicians. The customer asked a question about the color she picked out and he proceeded to yell at her and say that she asked too many questions and he was an expert at his job. I informed her they were lumpy she brushed me off and told me to speak with I'm assuming the manager (Jonathan). The poor reviews below are true. I've been here several times since they've opened up. Great location and clean space but poor full set quality. On Monday, I received services for a pedicure and full set gel nails. By Thursday one of my nails fell completely off and two other nails are on the verge of breaking off already. I found time on Saturday to go get it replaced and fix the other two nails before they break off and he (nail tech) was not available at that moment which is understandable. What is not appropriate is him lying about my nail services. He tried to say "remember you had your nails filled that's why it fell off." And remind you, I receive a full set not a fill on Monday. My first time at a Nail Spa, usually wouldn't pay $40 for a pedicure with callus treatment. Atmosphere is great, friendly staff as well. When I sat in the chair a few minutes later I was offered a drink (didn't know that came with this experience). Massage chair felt good, a little different than ones I've had before. Nail technician had a different routine than I'm used to, but got the job done and without my feet feeling tender or anything. They use NEW supplies, opened the package in front of me, wasn't re using any supplies that were soaking in cleaning solution. Also, ample parking! I like this place, will be back. Even left a tip on top of paying $15 more than I usually do. read more

Do not go here! I went here for the first time today for a full acrylic set. While I was having my tips glued on, a woman came in furious with her doctor on the phone due to a severe toe infection she got from a pedicure service at Dakota Nails. The employee who was helping her kept calling her a liar and that they did not give her the infection despite it being clear it was from their salon. They told her to leave and didn't offer any type of refund or further service. I then had to wait nearly 20 minutes for the "main" acrylic nail tech to finish with another customer to do mine. As I was waiting four of my tips popped off. When he began my nails I showed him a simple, short oval shape. Instead, I end up with almost a centimeter of powder filling on top of my nails and nails that were the same length as my very, very short natural nails. He filed the sides of my nails so badly I bled on multiple fingers and have an open cut on one. They were extremely pointy, super short, and nothing like the basic nail set I had requested. He was digging the nail file into my nail beds and the nails practically looked like shark teeth! I finally had to ask for him to take them off. My nails were again filed so roughly and painfully while he ripped off the acrylics as quickly as he could. He put my nails in a super toxic bath of chemicals that started to eat away even my natural nails. I pulled my nails away and said I needed to go somewhere else to get them fully removed and taken off. I was required to pay a 25$ deposit when I scheduled the appointment and the nail tech refused to give it back to me. After some arguing I finally received my money back and left. Never did he apologize or try to be helpful. My friends have experienced very similar experiences. Other nail salons have said the products they use are not normal and nearly impossible to take off and very damaging to the natural nail. The place was not very sanitary and there were very minimal COVID precautions. The chair I had to sit in was dirty and sweaty from a customer before and I had to switch the chair myself. I definitely do not like writing bad reviews and have always been an easy-going customer and great tipper. Please don't ever go here. It is extremely overpriced and the customer and nail services are horrible. I've never had a worse nail experience in my life! read more
