I've been to amazing T-Mobile stores where the customers service was like a dream (five stars plus). I've been to dismal T Mobile stores. Where customer service was still learning how to speak a human language. This particular store is somewhere in between. I had reason to drop in because Tmobile was running this cute little special, where if you just popped into the store, they would give you a free pair of T mobile gloves, suitable for use with touchscreens. I noticed the Covid precautions were in effect. customers were asked not to touch the inventory but to allow the staff to hand them what they want. Nice! Since I was there, I decided to try and catch up. It didn't seem like any of the new pricing plans would be competitive with the one I already have. I'm not sure how much of a hassle it would be to upgrade because I haven't done that in ages, the old T-Mobile deal still beats the new Tmobile deals. read more

I have been with T-Mobile for many years. I transferred over from AT&T because it was a great deal and at that time I had good service for a fraction of the price. Later on I quit Xfinity and went with T-Mobile's 5G HOME INTERNET I had both together in a package deal and for quite some time it was working great. Recently over at least the last six months or more the home Internet is beyond atrocious. The worst I've ever experienced or dealt with I have wasted so many hours dealing with their representatives from the corporate office or being represented by the corporate office in various locations with unsatisfactory results. A little background on me quickly is that I spent over 20 years in corporate IT and before that I was in the broadcasting TV industry so I've been around electronics technology and anything dealing with IT for over 35 years. So when it comes to troubleshooting with these people on the phone, I'm going to say over 6 to 8 phone calls usually what they asked me to do. I've have already done it because of my 35 years experience in IT background to this day. My HOME INTERNET sometimes will only go up to 5 mbps whether download or upload absolutely ridiculous. I've heard every excuse that they're working on the towers. I reached out and I can pinpoint the towers that are associated with my location. I couldn't get any better reception with my home router/modem unless I threw it out the window. It's right next to the window. I have run "speed check" 300 times checking and working with their "tech" dept! I've heard every excuse and every bit of their logic, which does not make sense. The bottom line is their service sucks ass. I have literally spent probably 30 hours dealing with their text their engineers, their callbacks there are explanation and a complete waste of my time when somebody provides the service as such it's not our job at home to babysit them to refine their incompetence. It's their responsibility as a vendor to do whatever it takes to provide us a service that they are supposed to provide they fail when it comes to their HOME INTERNET I could go on and on if I was to rate this company the way it's going I would give it an F for Customer service. I have rebooted everything possible. I have run on the cell coverage WI-Fi. I have rebooted power cycle, rerouted power supplies you name it I live up near the hospitals in a area high up geographically. I am being told that there is a tower approximately a mile away. I have researched and pinpointed other towers in town and unless you live underneath the tower or very nearby the service here is absolutely terrible once again. There are times that I have to unplug items off of the Internet, trying to get a signal that is so weak. I can barely watch TV or work on our laptop  because of a working form home job. Nobody has gone out of their way to solve this completely or nobody really seems to care being in the technology industry. I have never seen HOME INTERNET so bad before. Nobody's reached out to me or followed through ultimately till the situation was solved. The HOME INTERNET PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED! We are just numbers paying the monthly bill. I will note also that I replaced my modem routers multiple times complete set ups on everything. This Vallejo location brick n mortor store assistance swapping out modem/router Customer Service grade ..A I have spent many years in troubleshooting communications, I don't care what platform I'm on whether it's IOS or IBM it's the same when it comes to the HOME INTERNET even my cell phone coverage is weak at times. I have honestly never seen a technology company that could care less about their customers or their satisfaction or the service that they provide as this company here. I definitely have a bad taste in my mouth when somebody mentions T-Mobile. I keep the faith, but this is the final result. They advertise my speed should be at least 90mbps. Poor customer service. Salesperson pushed upgrades without knowledge about the devise. Incorrectly stated device was waterproof. When I returned the next day to return it the manager assisted and was rude and tried to convince me to not return the device. He insisted I could only return if I had the card used present. I came back a third time with the card used to make the return and the employee that finally returned the item didn't need the card after all. So the manager both tried to deny the return and then lied about the card being required. On top of this, unless you get there right when the store opens, be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes waiting in the store before an employee acknowledges or greets you. read more

I hate to write negative reviews as I work in a retail setting as well and I get it... but I initially came in last week and spoke to a lady. She went over details and wrote down information for me as I told her I wasn't going to make a commitment today. Today I went in the lady was there again, perfect said I'd wait for her. I know they have commission and that is why I waited. So explained I want the new iPhone. We're looking at options. I remember I was on the jump! Plan and initially she didn't even mention this. The phone comes out and it's time to set it up, so another man employee joins in to assist. So one. Between the both of them handling a new iPhone 11 they continuously drop it on the counter. It makes me cringe, (like maybe they should put a cloth or mat or something down.) Then as I'm setting up it asks if I want to set up Apple Pay... I say yes and it freezes so he's like oh, we're gonna cheat and turn it off. We can just do this later. Like umm what?? No I want to set this up as I use it on a regular basis. This is why I haven't got a new phone in so long because I dread changing and updating all my info. So then he just turns it back on and once again I'm starting over on installing everything. At this point I just say thank you and walk out. I'm annoyed. Besides selling a new phone I'd think they'd try and be a little more helpful. I use to come here because there was a talk African American lady for years that was extreeeeemely helpful. I don't know where she is now, but I miss her. Aubrey did great , it was a frustrating moment that I was having to deal with because I lost my phone in the commute. He helped me put in my claim and here I am typing on the exchanges phone. Randi, manager - does not give good customer service options or eligibility option for upgrades. Doesn't want to check all your options. Lazy. Horrible customer service I came in for a possible upgrade and the associate retail manger was just as rude as she could be. I had to ask her if she would engage with me and give me upgrade options or to see if I was eligible for jump. Randi wouldn't give me options on other upgrade phone options other than 1 ( 11 pro) . The girl with long nails is so dumb and didn't even bother to look at what's written on the SIM card. She said "oh it has the same shape as the SIM card that we use so it should work on 5G" . WTF! Before you sign with T-Mobile, be sure you ask if you will get signal wherever you go; school, work, different parts of your city... etc.. they have the WORST signal ever! I know the girl that helped us stole my phone.. it took the managers 2 weeks to respond back to my needs.. I went back there twice and the response "the manager was not in" both times. Called corporate and they said I would have to go to the store so they could review cameras. By then, they taped over the recording. This girl does not look at ID's and was giving wrong information.. Doing this review on when I accompanied my cousin to get her screen bubble fixed. When we walked in, there were already a couple customers being helped so we had to wait. No problem. As soon as we were helped by an associate named Eric, I felt as if I was being belittled & I wasn't even the one being helped. I actually had to walk out myself because I had to bite my tongue. He was questioning my cousins decision on a solution to her problem in a rude way. As a customer relations manager, I will say that if I were surveyed in my experience that day. Yelp says they close at 8 PM I get there at 7:45 and there are people cleaning windows counters etc. I walk in and nobody is helping me there just passing me as I stand there. Two minutes to closing I ask if somebody can help me and they said they are closed for remodeling. There is no signs that says they're closed. Every time I go in to this store, I wait around for 20-30 min until someone finally starts to put names down on the list. Well before they take my name they take the names of everyone standing at the door which puts me 45minutes to an hour before I'm even helped. Very unorganized. People are not very helpful at all. I came in to the store to get a replacement phone as ours was not working. There were several people and I don't mind waiting but they completely skipped us and when I mention that to the sales representative Cathy, she was extremely rude and without giving us eye contact basically said someone will help us next. Then we were next, we were helped by Cathy again. She didn't even introduced herself, was not giving us any eye contact and was very short and plain rude! When we received our replacement, we noticed it was wrong and when we informed her of this, again she was lacking customer service skills and was telling us that "she's never heard of that" to what we were telling her we were told by customer service when we called. I don't like giving negative reviews on Yelp, but after what happened with my previous transactions at this location ever since moving to Vallejo I feel the need to do so. One of the associates (Randi)helping me with transferring service from AT&T was completely rude. Not only did she try to up sell me on products I told her I repeatedly I don't need, but after declining them, her attitude from upbeat helpful completely changed to being rude and not interested in helping me transfer anymore. She then rushed the transfer and ignored a couple of my questions about service with them in front of me. She told me she didn't hear me. (Maybe turn down the loud music is a start?) This location is absolutely the worst as this was not my first negative transaction with this store. My last transaction (to make a long story short) involved one of the managers telling me that they didn't have a specific phone in stock and that I had to go to another location in Vallejo. Keep in mind I had called the specific store and asked and I was told it was available, only to have Sarah speak to me in a condescending way and refer me to another store. My advice to this T mobile location, if a customer doesn't want to buy extra products your trying to up-sell please do not change your attitude and be rude. Also, please don't say you have something in stock and tell me to come down and then I do and you tell me it's not and then berate me for your mistake. Such a shame because I live close to this store and any issues I have or need something taken care of T-mobile I'll have to go to this store. I'll be driving the extra 10 mins to the Sonoma Blvd one on the other side rather than go to this sorry excuse of a store with rude service and they only care about up-selling. I had to go to this store on Saturday afternoon during a particularly brutal heat wave. I had perfectly good service but the thing that I most want to applaud them for is that they put up a canopy with a cool water spray for the customers who had to wait outside the store because of COVID-19 restrictions. Today, my I phone 11 died in the middle of a text. I rely on my phone for everything. I went to check for all the Sprint stores in Vallejo and none were open. I was desperate for help and went to T mobile in the plaza drive parking lot. The very nice girl named Randi, seen I was in distress and took my phone inside. After a couple minutes, she brought it back to me and it was rebooting. My phone came right back on.
