Costs: If you are upgrading your home network or other capability, and need to buy new/more gear, Shawn doesn't charge a markup on the equipment. In fact, once he's designed your solution he will provide you with links to the exact products required and let you buy them directly from the vendors if desired. Or he'll buy them himself and present you with the receipts. Hourly rate: With the skills Shawn possesses, his hourly rate is substantial. And it should be. However, you can still bring your project in at a very reasonable cost PROVIDED you can be a smart customer. By this I mean you must be clear on the capabilities you want to achieve--or at least be able to listen to Shawn describe what's possible and then make rapid decisions. If instead you want a lot of customer education, Shawn can do that too because he knows an immense amount about IT and can communicate effectively. However, it's a bit like paying for a neurosurgeon to teach you about the types of aspirin available to treat a headache. That doesn't make sense; get a nurse instead! In my case, my wife and I work from the house. My goals were to increase the reliability of our home network. We wanted better maintainability (so when the internet goes down I can rapidly identify the problem and fix it). We wanted better network security. I wanted to add a home security camera because of problems with car prowls, etc. And finally, I wanted to move our networking gear out of our super-hot furnace room to a cooler and cleaner location. This was a lot. Other vendors had previously failed to come up with an affordable solution--or any solution at all. Shawn showed us how to do it for a very reasonable sum. Once we had a plan, I was able to control costs by getting a carpenter friend to open up the wall and pull wires through to the new location for the gear. Shawn also kept costs down by allowing me to provide extra hands as he mounted gear on the wall, connected all of our wireless access points to the new console, etc. These steps all require two people. Shawn was willing to let me help and he even maintained a high level of wit and good-natured ribbing throoughout the long day of work. In sum: great outcome, great satisfaction, great price. I contacted Alee with HiTek Telecom to get a quote on a complete network job for my home. Not only do my spouse that I work from home, but I also do a lot of photography and video that I transfer back-and-forth on my network and into the cloud. I was tired of poor and drop connections with my consumer level Wi-Fi system. In addition, I wanted a local security camera system that I can control without relying on a cloud service. After receiving a quote and agreeing on the scope of work, I scheduled the installation. Alee came out on time on the date scheduled and we walked through the plan of installation and confirmed what all my needs were. Alee and his team worked through the day and completed the install job in an incredibly professional manner. The installation and the cable runs, and all of the final product was exactly as described. After the install, Alee walked me through downloading all of the software that I needed, how to access and navigate the system, how to navigate and operate the security cameras, and ensure that everything was working properly. To be sure, this was a relatively large install for a residential application. I wanted ethernet drops in every room of my house, a new professional grade network cabinet, in-ceiling WIFi network, and a new suite of security cameras. I couldn't have asked for a better end product. I am quite pleased with the attention to detail of the install and making sure everything was perfect, workmanlike, and care was taken in my home. Alee came back out to adjust a couple of things for me after the fact and install an additional camera. Again, he was on time on the scheduled day. The workmanship was just as good and the communication has been stellar throughout. I truly can't recommend HiTek and Alee enough. Top-notch product and top-notch service.

    When third-party workmen in our yard knocked out our business' internet access, we were in panic…read moremode. We needed to splice or rerun the fiber optic cable as quickly as possible. After soliciting three bids, we chose to go with Premier Communications. Premier responded to our request for a bid within 20 minutes, and scheduled a technical visit that same day. Every person I spoke with from Premier(Scott the owner, the scheduler and Jeff, the technician,) was knowledgeable, straight- forward, professional and considerate. The scheduler/dispatcher kept us consistently updated with regards to the technician's arrival time. We were especially impressed by our technician Jeff. Jeff was really sympathetic with regards to our need for a quick and reliable fix at an affordable price. Jeff offered us several options and the next day he came back and fixed our problem like a true expert. Premier's estimate was roughly 1/2 to 2/3 of the other estimates we received. Jeff and the rest of the Premier staff did a fantastic job at getting us re-connected within a day and a half. I would recommend Premier Communications to anyone who needs assistance with installation of PBX systems, cabling, and cable repairs.

DTC did a careful job with the install, and took plenty of time to go through and do things right and go over the configuration of the system. They have been responsive post-sale with any customer service questions, and stand behind their service. I like the fact I'm going with a local company and not just a sales rep for a large installer that farms out their tech work and you won't hear from again until your contract is up.     I am extremely disappointed with my experience with T-Mobile…read more My account has been scheduled for cancellation WITHOUT my authorization while an active dispute is still under review. This situation remains unresolved despite multiple attempts to address it directly. The core issue has not been resolved: * My device is not functionally unlocked * It cannot be used with other carriers * eSIM activation fails * The device manufacturer has confirmed that no unlock request was ever submitted at the system level Despite this, T-Mobile has stated that the obligation has been fulfilled. In addition, a Port-Out PIN was generated on my account without my consent, and I was instructed to transfer my numbers. This matter is currently under review with multiple agencies, including the FCC, Texas Attorney General, Washington State Attorney General, New Mexico Department of Justice, and the Better Business Bureau. Proceeding with account cancellation under these conditions raises serious concerns regarding consumer protection and business practices. I am requesting: * Proper device unlock at the system level * No account cancellation while the dispute is active This issue remains unresolved as of today.     Question: When is an appointment *not* an appointment?…read moreAnswer: At T-Mobile I've been a Sprint/T-Mobile customer for a while now. I've never had particularly good signal strength at home but it was pretty good with either WiFi calling or with a WiFi signal booster. I've literally spent hours with "troubleshooting" - very basic stuff. Software update, new SIM cards, network updates, setting changes, turning the phone off with the sim card removed etc. All a waste of time. Nothing has really worked except for calling over WiFi or the signal booster. Now the signal boosters have been discontinued. My calls are terrible. I don't even care about data but need a decent signal to make the phone(s) usable. 5G or LTE - doesn't matter as I've got great WiFi speed at home. After having promise after promise of having improved service being broken I called again last week. I explained to them the prior failed attempts and informed them that I didn't want to waste any more time in the basic troubleshooting with yet another representative and they suggested that an in store appointment would be appropriate. We came to an agreed upon date and time. They set the appointment up. I received two separate confirmations of said appointment time and location. I drive to the store at the appointed time and they tell me that THEY DO NOT HAVE ME AS HAVING AN APPOINTMENT. They then inform me that I'll have to wait 20-30 minutes for service. At this point I am livid. I showed them the confirmation texts. No matter. This is an extraordinarily poor showing in my opinion. I make appointments in order to avoid waiting around in phone stores. I try and respect other people's time. It's literally one thing that you cannot buy. Clearly respect for their customers is not a priority here.
