I am not sure how to express how incredible our experience was at this T-Mobile location. My wife and I went in on July 20 to inquire about switching from Verizon to T-Mobile. When we originally decided to go in it was just to gather information about pricing and plans for us and we were not planning on completing any transactions. When we entered the store, we were immediately greeted by Emily, one of the associates who sat down with us to inquire about why we came into the store. After we explained to her what we were looking for her retail manager on staff that day came over and started talking to us as well trying to dig a little deeper about what it is we wanted to do. So, after talking to both of them we decided that it was a cheaper idea to keep our devices and bring them over from Verizon. They are going to pay off our phones for us for switching which is absolutely awesome. What we ended up doing was we decided to bring our phones over and leave the other devices with Verizon just for now until we pay off our phones. Once we pay off our phones, we will bring the rest of our devices over, so we are on T-Mobile network solely. We only had to pay $50 for everything and our account is now set up and ready for the other devices, so we don't have to add lines when we go in! Both Emily and her retail manager were so helpful and friendly it made me realize that there are truly people out there not just to make money but there are people who are there to ensure you're getting only what you need and nothing more. Plus, there are so many perks included with T-Mobile that you would have to pay for with Verizon or another carrier. Then I had to go in the next day to find out why I was unable to log into the T-Life app and the associate that helped me was so helpful and he was able to get my logged in in a matter of minutes. The trip to the store did not take long at all. We would like to thank the staff at the Petaluma T-Mobile store for making it such an easy process and making us feel like we really do belong with T-Mobile. We will be returning to this location for all of our mobile needs. read more

I have reported for 10 years that my service at home in Petaluma on the West side too often sounds like popcorn, mostly on the other side of conversations. A T-Mobile 611 tech told me that T-Mobile doesn't have sufficient cell tower coverage, that NONE of the repair requests had ever been researched as they knew that this was the case. THANK YOU TECH who told me!!! They are now pushing INTERNET SERVICES, again, poor coverage. And, my phone bill is $96/mo and a phone that was stolen which I paid insurance for I still have to pay off. Why bother having insurance if they merely allow you to keep paying on a stolen phone. Yes, they do give you a RECONDITIONED phone, that someone else returned. When I can I'll switch to VERIZON which everyone I speak to seems to think does much better. Too bad this is about the best you can do is vent on YELP because the company doesn't have reputable service practices. read more

On 5/8/25, I contacted T Mobile to cancel my phone service since I decided to use my husband's phone carrier (Verizon) and save money on a family plan. I was not aware that when I canceled, I would be charged for a full month after my cancellation day. Since I canceled two days after the next monthly billing cycle, I was required to pay for 28 days that I would not use. When I asked if there was a way that they could prorate the last bill, they said that we don't do that. They also added late charges to the bill and refused to removed them. I told them that when I called to cancel, it was a perfect time to offer a family plan for my hubby and I. Not only would they have retained a loyal customer, but they would have made more business and wouldn't have gotten a bad Yelp review from me right now. I've had to come into this store (by the way it is a corporate store not a 3rd party owned store), twice this year. Actually, twice within the past 3 months and it's not because I'm a T-Mobile customer, though it will be that way soon, but because I am a Sprint customer whose account and phones were still on the Sprint network & billing I needed some help with converting things over (new SIM card, backing up phone, transfer info from an Android to an iPhone, etc.). Each time I went in I was acknowledged, especially if no one was available to help me (as in they were busy with other customers) they would always say "someone will be with you shortly" to whoever walked through the door. And each time I've been in there they were always cheerful and helpful. Good customer service! read more

On Friday i spent 2 hours of valuable work time on the phone with T-mobile. I decided on the recommendation from a friend to switch from Xfinity. ** First you have to do everything one the phone, no online chat. Even thought I expressed the process was taking too long, it was one sales pitch after another. Finally at the end, I was told I would get an email to sign or I would get a phone call to confirm all the details. I received the phone call, and assumed all was in place. Today i decided to check on my order, and found an email saying my order was cancelled!!! I called them, and yes, they confirmed by order was canceled and had no reason other no note they wanted to refer me to a store. I gave this company my credit card #, my SS# (becuase they said they needed to run my credit). Pick out a phone, a watch etc... I wanted to share what a positive experience we had last Thursday with T-Mobile, Petaluma location. After years of AT&T horrible customer sv, dropped calls, price gouging for calls when we traveled, their malfunctioning voice recognition software when you dial 611, recently rising prices, we decided to switch to T-Mobile. They gave us the "over 55Plan - 5G" which was half what we were paying for AT&T. There are many plan options. Coverage seems better than we have had with AT&T. Sometimes it would be two days before a voicemail showed up on our cell phones. T-Mobile gave us these fab perks for our two cell phones and an Ipad: 1. Free Netflix standard plan where we were paying $15.49 per month. Now T-mobile pays the Netflix bill forever. 2. Free Apple TV streaming on all devices. 3. They reimbursed us for the AT&T balance we paid off on one of our cell phones in the amount of $472.17. They also give wonderful offers if you want to trade in your phone and upgrade - we stayed with the phones we have. 4. Gave us a $60 coupon to be used for annual renewal of our AAA membership. 5. Unlike AT&T that sends warnings like, "You have exceeded your data allowance and therefore transmission will be slowed", plus "we are charging you for addl. data use", T-mobile gives us UNLIMITED DATA, TALK AND TEXT FOREVER for one flat rate including all fees and taxes. 6. An even further discounted rate if you pay your bill on autopay using a debit card. They have several easy payment ops. Word of advice, we think it is much more expedient to go to the T-Mobile store than deal with things on the phone, just arrive when the store opens before they get busy. If you make the switch in person they are a wonderful help with all of the details in switching carriers. Manager named "Dang" is very nice. At the store, ask for Cody P. Graham. He is really an expert! He stayed with us for 4 1/2 hours to make all of the necessary changes on our three devices and setting up all of the free perks. AT&T makes it difficult to leave by locking phones and requiring passcodes etc. T-Mobile made the process very painless. They did all the changes easily. If you decided to change, bring with you all of your passwords for Netflix, AAA info, everything about your current cell service and pass codes. I printed out everything which really helped and made it easier for the T-Mobile tech. We are so happy we switched at a time when AT&T just decided to raise rates for cell service. We are saving a bundle of money by doing so and the customer service at T-Mobile is so refreshingly five star! I hope this was helpful! read more

I called today to check on an item inventory before I go in cause you know, Pandemic style. This guy picks up the phone which he was super nice about it & he is like I will put u on hold to go check the item if we have it (he also introduced himself as the team leader). So im like sure....on hold for 10mins,15mins....30mins....40mins.....then this other guy picks up the phone "hey Robert?" Im like nope wrong line still holding for item inventory. Then he is like let me put you on hold again sorry. So I was on hold for like 53 mins with no explanation of oh sorry we are busy or oh are you still there? Basically pretty bad customer service. I deal with patients daily & I get it if you get busy & you forget the phone lines but you can still attend to them in between customers. Specially if you are the team leader I would expect a better customer service from you or a call back at-least. He is the kindest, most helpful salesperson who earlier this year had walked me through the entire smartphone experience as I had never had one before. We must have been there 45 minutes or so. He was patient and answered every question we had. The other employees have also been patient when I had to call several times to try to figure out my phone. Really, how many places can you shop in Sonoma County where the employees greet you with a smile and don't make you feel like a dunce! Very old fashioned service that other businesses need to mirror. Nicole helped me understand my new phone and went thru my data to clear out apps that may have been useless or problematic for the new phone. My phone got badly damaged when we were evacuating during the fire alert. I went to t mobile in SF, 9th ave because that was were I bought the phone which was damaged and the staff was aloof and wouldn't replace my phone since my drivers license was expired. Being from Southern California where a lot of the T-Mobile associates looked at us like dollar signs and a means to get their bonus incentive; it was so incredibly wonderful to have Anthony and Able assist us in upgrading our phone and our data plan because it seemed like their only incentive was customer satisfaction and for that this TMobile store gets 5 stars. We honestly can't be the easiest TMobile customers to work with based on the fact that we are highly suspicious due to past issues with the company- from bold face lying assiciates signing us up for service, to hiked up and everchanging monthly bills, to having to deal with the phone insurance claiming they did not receive our phones & charging us hundreds of dollars- simply put we can't help walking into any TMobile store with a chip on our shoulder. BUT when we were met with true customer service professionals who makes customer satisfaction priority over sales it really turns those frowns upside down. That is what happened with Anthony and Able. After we explained to Able what we could and could not afford, he really worked within our budget to find the best phone and phone upgrade for us. It was a bit tedious even so much so that the manager Anthony stepped in to finish our transaction but we are completely happy with the final result. Then after the sale was completed Anthony still went the extra mile and transferred all of our photos from our broken IPhone to our brand new Android. We were noticeably irritated when we first walked in because we didn't want to get upsold and taken for a ride like we had in the past with TMobile but these guys were troopers and got us to the point where we were smiling, laughing, and got what we went into the store to get so they deserve extra props for that. On a general note if you are going with TMobile it is really best for a no hassle experience to get a month to month flat rate plan. We did that for a year and it was $80 a month no issues or bill surprises whatsoever. The problems arose when we tried to sign up for a family plan. It was still month to month but TMobile offsets the bill period so a customer can't just cancel one month and move to another plan at another network the next, which is still better then being locked into a 2 year contract, but none the less frustrating financially. If you do sign up for a plan just make sure you get what the final bill every month will be, including taxes, so there will be no surprises. And ofcourse getting upfront, honest, friendly assiciates-like Anthony and Able at this store- makes anyone's TMobile experience a lot better. read more

I have had a good standing t mobile account for over 2 years, that I got for a close friend of mine because her credit was not good enough to get her own account. Anyways I wanted to add a line for myself and saw the free iPhone promo. I spent a long time in the Petaluma branch and upon set up for the additional line, made it Chrystal clear I was not goin to afford a phone plan for anything more than $60 a mo. Which is what I was paying with Metro for unlimited. I owned a perfectly good iPhone 7 Plus and was told to trade it in for the new phone that was "free". The sales rep told me I would be not paying to lease the phone, that I own the new iPhone. Then my bill comes and my portion is over $100!! And I am also paying $31 installments on the leased iPhone. I additionally was told I had to get a cover and screen protector which is also a monthly installment and neither case nor protector lasted more than 2 weeks, and he signed me up for insurance on the phone that I didn't want because it was another 16$ a month. Jesus! I was totally swindled, and I plan on speaking with management. I would have never traded in my perfectly good fully paid for iPhone 7 Plus bought the and paid for at the amount of $599 only to pay to lease a similar phone. I only came to this conclusion after I visited the Novato T mobile, and the branch manager was very helpful and explained to me I was totally taken advantage of and the sales person did it for the commission. I now remember why I shouldn't mess with phone companies and contracts, even if metro is nicknamed "Ghettro" they at least have cut and dry policies and promotions. I want my money back. read more

I have never had anyone more helpful than Chief; the store associate at this location. After driving a total of 225 miles and 7 different locations, all of which were unable to help me with retrieving a receipt from another store that failed to email it even after I was assured that this was the only method they used now. This put me in a very unfortunate predicament with the phone issues I was having. The store where I originally made the purchase offered no assistance whatsoever and in fact suggested that I get in the car and drive 3 hours to their store with fires burning all around their location and several roads being shut down and jammed with people evacuating the area. All to retrieve a receipt that they never sent me. I went to this location and was finally met by a smiling face who immediately started helping me solve this dilemma. We called the store where the original al purchase was made and After being hung up on and then snapped at by their store manager, Chief stepped up and shut that down real quick. He showed extreme sympathy to my situation and went out of his way to help get it resolved. Can't say enough about the level of service he provided me! read more

Unfortunately, there's no rating below one star: I'd suggest one moon. My experience/issue with T-Mobile, and the Petaluma store, began when I bought a T-Mobile "mobile hot spot" to get light-use Internet in my photo studio. $135.23. It worked three days, connecting intermittently, and finally stpped connecting at all (I'm in RP, so I'm not out of range). I brought the device back; asked for a replacement. They were unwilling to do so. A lively and not especially cordial discussion ensued. I finally got a new hot spot. I should have simply canceled the account, but I guess I'm an optimist. The new hot spot lasted a couple of weeks. Like the first, it would connect anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour before dropping off-line. Turning it on and off usually brought it back to life. I finally gave up, brought the device back to the store, and told them to close the account. They didn't want the device, and they couldn't close the account, but they did call up customer service somewhere, who was finally willing to close the account--in June, the earliest they could do it. I gave up. Paying an extra thirty bucks for a month's service when I don't even have the digital device (I told 'em to toss it: it's dead anyway) is cheap if T-M goes away forever. In short, if you buy a T-Mobile hot spot, be prepared for big problems, a lot of cash for nothing, and customer service that surpasses even the airlines for surliness. I'm back to AT&T. read more
