Have been in there twice and the "morning shift"completely ruined my account and experience with T-Mobile... along with other things... and I'm saying morning shift because when I call to ask them to correct their mistake, they won't give me names on who helped me this morning... (so childish) I was also lied to and told that morning shift wasn't there and that they had no idea who I was talking about... But then later she slipped and said well he's not here anymore anyway so she knew exactly who I was talking about and decided to lie about it probably because this man already knew he screwed up as soon as I left the store. Only reason I can't go in and fix it face-to-face is because I have sleeping babies here at home and this is a time sensitive issue because it involves porting a phone number that may be disconnected because the port was done incorrectly... When connecting 2 brand new phones, the man that was supposed to be helping us connected my child's phone as the primary account holder instead of mine so when I tried to go complete ports and make changes and adjustments to the account the same day I wasn't allowed any access because I was the secondary user" anything that could have gone wrong while switching phone companies did go wrong and I do not recommend T-Mobile to anyone. Honestly, you'd be better off with any other company.!! read more

Price is very expensive, but service is better than the competition. Competition tries to rip you off with bad service, but T-Mobile fees are twice the price. read more

Bunch of crooks. Costco T mobile gave me in writing the monthly payments for 3 new phones with trade ins. My bill was totally wrong none of the credits were applied. I have called these idiots at tmobile at least 5 times and everytime i end up talking to a manager who is another idiot and has different answer. Bottom line the manager at the Costco T mobile screwed up the numbers, the manager at the store on pelandale screwed with his numbers and of course the mistake is to their benefits and i get screwed and i just got off the phone with another manager who said sorry for their mistake but you are holding the bag. I have everything from the stores in writing. Printed my bill to show even the numbers that T mobile said i should have had were not posted correctly (inflated). I am cancelling with these people and will see an friend attorney for their fraudulent business practice. For the last 3 months I have been calling these idiots and spending hours on the phone. I am blasting this every where. Be careful doing business with TMOBILE get everything in writing but it looks like they don't even honor that. read more

Trained personnel. I went there to buy a SIM card and start a prepaid plan. early afternoon. There was only 1 person working there. I overheard her saying to a customer they were nice for not complaining. 2 previous customers left because of slow service. When she finally got to me, she tried calling the manager who was not there. I understood the situation before she even explained it to me. She was untrained. She was only capable of receiving payments for prepaid. She was basically unqualified to work alone. That manager should have been there or should never have left her alone. read more

I will never set foot in that place again. I had been told, on TMobile's website, that I would receive two free phones if I signed up with them. However, when I went in to this store they told me that this wasn't the case. I even showed them the entire Chat that had transpired and that I was told I'd get two new phones. This little snotty nose, Bruno Mars wannabe got snippy with me and my 84 year old mother. I am not used to being treated with such disrespect. I asked to speak to his supervisor, and he told me he was the supervisor....NOT!!! Consequently, I left there and drove to the Riverbank store and was greeted with respect and left there with my two free phones as I had been promised. The little boy at the McHenry store needs to take lessons on how to treat customers!!! read more

I finally made the switch over from Sprint after being with them for over 10 years. Loyalty means nothing to Sprint. It was a complicated break-up, but the good folks here at T-Mobile were able to help. I was first greeted by Ali, and she was very kind and helpful, and thoroughly explained all the options to choose from in their plans. Eric and Deanna were also very helpful with ordering my new iPhones that were on back order. They were able to provide loaner phones until the iPhones arrived (only took two weeks). They even stayed past store hours to ensure the process was complete. Some bits of advice: The store can get real busy sometimes, so be prepared to wait. Also T-Mobile's Online Chat and Customer Care / Tech Support over the phone is super reliable if you need advanced help. Give 'em a call. read more

Go here theyre the best! I dont even know where to start. Amazing service all around. Went everywhere to try and get help and this Tmobile team went above and beyond. Made us feel understood and not out to get us (Experienced alot of lies with the yellow carrier.) They offered us more than we had hoped for and always explained everything. Eduardo (the manager) listened to our dilemma and went out after already having clocked out for the day to get a phone for us from a different Tmobile across town. Ryan walked us through everything and answered all our questions including bill pricing, insurance, all the extras. Super friendly and informative. Rav knew his facts and they were friendly with my son who was tired of all the running around. We had to come back the next day because our now old carrier doesnt have 24hr customer care :) Next day to finish up with a new crew. Same thing. Great team! Greg finished porting our numbers over and helping navigate icloud and removing our old device that we could no longer access. He and Lisa (Assistant Manager) really did everything to making sure both phones were good to go and numbers successfully ported. read more

I had worked with Cristian originally and he did an amazing job getting me started to upgrading my phone. Then I had Ishmael helped me to complete the task and not only was he super attentive to my need he took the extra steps to find what was missing from my order to the point of adding the manager of the store who was a wonderful person herself. Great experience these three need some . read more

I came in today purchased an I phone 8 for my daughter. I received the most awesome service from Alexandria. She got me exactly what I wanted from the color of the phone to getting the jump service and apple care. I asked a lot of questions, Alexandria answered everyone of them professionally and was very patient through out the whole process, she is super sweet and great. I even told her manager on duty. I will definitely come back in the future. Thanks for the great service. read more

First and foremost please understand that I love T-Mobile. I went from AT&T to Verizon and then in 2001 switched to T-Mobile and have been with them ever since. This one star Yelp rating is due to how my mother was treated by a specific person. My mother had a Galaxy S3 she absolutely loved and it was dropped and stopped working. She went into the store to find out if it had any life left and it didn't. She doesn't know much about phones or technology in general and all she was concerned with was getting a phone that was as competent as the old one. She's on a limited budget but she's been with them for over a decade and knows she's a valued customer. Luckily for her the assistant manager was helping her so she believed she was getting a great deal and a great phone. I was sick and sleeping when all of this went on and didn't know she had been sold a phone, just that she was going to find out if the old was could be saved. This is when I blew up. I found out that she was sold a LG Optimus, tiny crappy screen, below average camera, no LTE and she was charged $107 for it. After looking it up I found out this phone is sold to people with no credit as a prepaid phone at Walmart..... Wait, it gets better I promise. After a few days went by I was feeling a little better and decided to take her back to the T-Mobile store. I spoke to a couple of very nice employees and asked them both the same question: " If your mom not being tech savvy like us asked for a phone that was comparable to the GS3 and was sold this Optimus would you be happy?" They both answered no!!! I was able to talk to the assistant manager Deanna myself and this is what she said. I asked her if she thought the phone she sold my mom was as good as a GS3 and her response was "I use the LG phone myself", I then asked her why she would sell my mom a phone that is a mass produced pay-to-talk phone that Walmart sells for $119. This is what she said, "Your mom got a deal, the phone just went up in price and Walmart sells it for higher than we do" Not once did she or would she give in. She didn't apologize and instead of find some ground to agree with me on like the fact the phone is a prepaid or the fact it doesn't match up with the Galaxy she tried to tell me I was wrong and then followed it up by letting us know we'd have to pay $50 just to return the phone.. Luckily for my mom and I an extremely nice young lady came up and gave us some real customer service. She had been listening and realized that Deanna never gave us an option for a different phone.I asked this nice woman if she was the manager and she said no. I was blown away that a younger, non-management employee could make Deanna look so bad. To put a nice ending on this fiasco my mother ended up going home with a Galaxy S5, making monthly payments and only paying the tax up front. The assistant manager never gave us this option. Once again I love my T-Mobile service and will never leave but people like Deanna need to take notes from the wonderful people that helped us out of the bad situation she created. read more

This particular T Mobile dealer was the worst experience of my life they sold me a broken phone loaner phone refused to take it back and treated me like trash and you can save yourself from a bad experience by driving right down the street to the one at Granger and McHenry where the customer service is excellent and you will be treated extremely well read more

I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile, not because Verizon was bad. I was actually a happy Verizon customer for 15 years. But, it was expensive. I saw a promo from T-Mobile stating they would pay any outstanding debt on our cell phones (2) and pay any early termination fee. The allowed amount was up to $650 per phone. T-Mobile was also about $60/mo cheaper. Wow, right? We turned over our 5 month old iPhones Plus,in exchange for two new Galaxy 7 Edge phones. About 4 weeks later, we received our closing bill from Verizon. On the closing bill it showed a balance owing $497 on each phone and no early termination fee. The T-Mobile rep at the McHenry store scanned in our closing bill and sent it to T-Mobile for processing. Two months go by and nothing from T-Mobile. So, I call T-Mobile and guess what? They said we didn't qualify for a reimbursement without giving us a reason. So, I called again, this time to the local T-Mobile store on McHenry Avenue. I asked to speak to the manager. Her name is Nina. As I am attempting to explain the above to her, she interrupts and doesn't allow me to talk. Nina could care less, is very rude, and hangs up on me. What? I called T-Mobile customer service number and finally got an answer why I didn't qualify and it was because the page showing the outstanding charges on both phones was missing from their files. I immediately sent it. And then I called my LegalShield attorney firm. The attorney was very helpful. Within 24 hours, he issues a demand letter for full reimbursement by fax to T-Mobile and within the hour of sending the faxed letter, I received a text from T-Mobile stating that my reimbursement claim was approved. Yipee! Well, not quite because I just received half of the reimbursement and after tracking the status of the reimbursement on the other phone, it shows the other phone didn't qualify. Let me add, both phones were in working order and in pristine condition. So, tomorrow I am calling my attorney again and they'll send a follow up letter to T-Mobile. Saving $60/month is just not worth the hoops T-Mobile has made me jump through. By, the way, when I called Verizon about getting back on with them, they're very competitively priced with T-Mobile and also offering the promotional reimbursements. Stay away from T-Mobile. Thank God for LegalShield. read more

I do not have the energy to re-describe my terrible experience so I will just copy and past the email I sent to their regional manager. Good Afternoon, My name is and on September 6th I made my first and only visit to your T Mobile location on McHenry Ave. I was very pleased with the appearance of the store, the associates, and also the ample response for assistance. There is only one issue I now face which is very upsetting and troubling. I have been a T Mobile customer since January 2011 (almost 4 years), but on September 6th I entered your store to inquire about the possibility of me leaving the company to get service with another company, due only to coverage area when I'm out of town. When I arrived to your store I was helped by Jesus and I explained to him I wanted to leave and my reason for doing so. I told him I owed on a service bill and he assisted me in paying it. Upon paying that bill I asked him if there would be a bill for another month of service or if I'd just be billed for the remainder of my phone payment. He assured me several times that once I paid that bill that I wouldn't owe anything for service again and that I'd just owe on my phone. So I paid my bill and left and got a new phone with another company. Now today I have been contacted by T Mobile requesting me to pay $195 instead of $110 because they say I owe for the month of August to September. I have been with you guys for almost 4 years and I have NEVER even looked at my billing statement, I've always just logged on and paid whatever was billed to me. I've been a very loyal and punctual customer to you guys and I was expecting the same in return, even though I was leaving your service. Another issue I don't understand is how I could owe money post-month when I was in fact on a month to month program. They way a month to month program works is you pre-pay the month, if you don't pay then you don't get service. Regardless of whether or not that was my billing cycle, your employee still mistakenly misled me and I don't believe I should be held accountable for his mistake. I do not believe he did this intentionally and I understand he was very busy that day, but I asked and he confirmed several times that day that I wouldn't owe for another month of service. I took his word for it as a representative of the company and now I'm the one sitting here on the raw side of the deal. Please get in contact with me because I'd like some assistance in resolving this matter. I already spoke with customer service and said there is nothing they can do without notations from the store on the account saying that there was a mistake. read more
