This is for the McHenry and Granger location: I dropped my iPhone on a cement slab and rushed to my go-to T-Mobile store. I received immediate service from the customer service professional. I was able to trade in my phone with my upgrade offer. Thank goodness, because I did not have insurance on my phone. On a limited budget with no down payment saved for my trade-in, upgrade, and promotion, I was able to get a new iPhone 16 out the door with no down payment, nothing to finance, and a 2-year contract. I had tons of photos and apps. When the transfer took longer, the entire staff, in their busy times, traded off to give me exemplary service, along with the amazing store manager who pulled all the numbers together. As for the long wait, the manager gave me a T-Mobile bag of treasures from the inventory. They really deserve a 10-star review because they were beyond exceptional. I was a T-Mobile customer since the early 1990's. I had mobile phones. But, service both online and in house got so bad, as well as continuous billing issues that I left in the last year. I noticed today that they are running a special for 35 dollars for 5g internet. Since I pay Verizon 80 dollars a month ( and have absolutely no issues with billing, customer service etc), I dont need to change to get a cheaperand poor service. I called out of curiousity. Said I would try for a few weeks, and make a determination if I would change. But, of course there was a hang up. They said they could not verify me and wanted me to unlock my credit. I am not busy enough to write this review, but am busy to sit for an hour or more unlocking THREE credit bureaus. ( she could not tell me which one they check). With a +800 credit score , never missing a payment in +40 years, to not be able to verify me is an annoyance. So T-mobile despite the lower monthly I will stay with VERIZON ( because I learned also during these years you continuously give low prices at the beginning and then raise your prices ). read more

I've had to come back more than 4 times to resolve a number of issues with my bill. It felt like they are just trying to get you out with little help as possible. The guy who helped me thru most of it was very rude and argumentative yesterday when I went in. Then, he didn't verify my account and I PAID FOR SOMEONE ELSES BILL!! Have been in there twice and the "morning shift"completely ruined my account and experience with T-Mobile... along with other things... and I'm saying morning shift because when I call to ask them to correct their mistake, they won't give me names on who helped me this morning... (so childish) I was also lied to and told that morning shift wasn't there and that they had no idea who I was talking about... But then later she slipped and said well he's not here anymore anyway so she knew exactly who I was talking about and decided to lie about it probably because this man already knew he screwed up as soon as I left the store. Only reason I can't go in and fix it face-to-face is because I have sleeping babies here at home and this is a time sensitive issue because it involves porting a phone number that may be disconnected because the port was done incorrectly... When connecting 2 brand new phones, the man that was supposed to be helping us connected my child's phone as the primary account holder instead of mine so when I tried to go complete ports and make changes and adjustments to the account the same day I wasn't allowed any access because I was the secondary user" anything that could have gone wrong while switching phone companies did go wrong and I do not recommend T-Mobile to anyone. We were cheated here. It was a bait n switch. We were told 90.00 for 3 lines, because 3rd line was free. When we got the 165.00 bill, it was very upsetting. My husband went in and talked to the manager who denied saying all he said, but there were 2 of us that heard the same thing. We hv also had so much trouble with our internet we got through them as well as dropped calls, or we can't receive some calls at all. We are going to change back to Metro. Went to get internet for the house. Was told I could take it home and try it out if. I did like being back in 2 weeks and would not cost me anything. So I did try then took it back I found a better deal so I took it back in the 2 weeks and they said all was good. Then I get an email saying I owe 65.00$. I had to call and get running around for a few hours. Then they tell me all take care. I was like great thanks. Then in a few weeks, I got a letter telling me that I still owe 24.75 $ and if I didn't pay it today it would go to collections and that would hit my credit report. Not good so I had to pay it off. I had been told I was a valued customer of 13 years and 5 months. What a joke. We moved our service was not as reliable as it had been. Apparently we were roaming. I didn't even know that was still a thing since we had an unlimited plan on 4 lines. I was given a three day notice that my sons line would be canceled and 30 day notice the my husbands and my lines would be cancelled. I have had my number for 24+ years. During the last 13+ years I have had to make payment arrangements once and my payment was late a couple of times. Today because I switched from this company to AT&T they sent me a bill for $200 for the device that I took into the store. Now if I don't pay it they will send me to collections. What a racket. Service update. T-Mobile worked at my home, however once I got to work it was a whole different story. Internet did not work and I was lucky to get two bars. Worked diligently with T-Mobile Customer Service and Tech Support over the course of 10 days with no resolve and no call backs as promised. I am no longer a T-Mobile customer and used my return rights within the 14 days allowed. While I got awesome service in store, unfortunately service via company just wasn't the same. read more

I just experienced the worst customer ever at this location. I walked in and there was a guy not busy who greeted me and asked how he could help me. 5 seconds into my explanation another employee walked up, interrupts the employee who is helping me, turns to me and says "we have someone else in front of you, it'll be about 20 minutes." She had no idea if my minor issue would have been 5 seconds more, or do a hand-off and have the higher level employee take over her customer and try to help me herself. She cheerily ignored her rudeness and asked my name, expecting that her coarse and unprofessional behavior was completely acceptable. I said I'll be back and left. If the person who greeted me was actually unvailable why did he greet mne and ask how he could help? I drove out to the mall and got my answer in under a minute including the wait for someone to become available. McHenery T-Mob8le needs to work on their customer service training. I'll be calling their store manager Avilio to let him know, maybe he can do a few training sessions on not being rude to customers that are in the process of being helped by interrupting and telling said customers they have to wait 20 minutes for a problem that can be explained in seconds. read more

The customer service at this particular T Mobile dealer was absolutely wonderful in the last few weeks I have had to be there several times to take care of several different phone lines and get new phones Max, Eric and Tim have taken absolutely wonderful care of us I would recommend them to absolutely anyone. Went in on a Sunday morning, Store wasn't too busy so I was helped relatively quickly. I had just had a bad experience at the T-Mobile in the Modesto mall and I was hoping that the McHenry location would help me better. Max did an amazing job helping me. He checked my phone for water damage and cracks but didn't find any. So after reviewing my phone and making sure that it was not damaged, he processed warranty exchange. Cost me only $5! I really appreciate his help because the people at the mall did not want to do it for me. They said that the phone was so old that it was no longer covered in the warranty. Max informed me that because I had insurance on my phone it had lifetime warranty! I really appreciate the fact that Max went out of his way to help me. He truly went above and beyond. I walked in here to have my Samsung Galaxy 6 edge exchanged because it overheated and could not turn on again. The customer service here was quick and they took care of me right when I came in. Before, there used to be a sign in sheet and you have to wait for your name to be called when they were busy. When I entered the store, a young lady assisted me and took me to another associate who helped me. I was in and out in about 30 minutes or so. Went and purchased an iPhone 7 at this location. I was told that I was receiving a free glass screen protector, a phone case of my choice, as well as car charging kit. All of which combined is well over $100 in accessories for the iPhone 7. Here we are one week later and I am looking on my bill and go and behold they're charging me for all three pieces. Today I will be headed back into the store to return all three pieces that were unwanted originally anyways. Super disappointing to know that employees at the store are basically lying to customers just to hit their accessory sales quota. If you don't have the gift of gab to sell it honestly, then you have no business being a sales person because now I feel like nothing but a bunch of snakes work at the T-Mobile store. Yesterday I came in to the T-Mobile store with my fiancé after convincing him to switch from att because I felt that T-Mobile had superior customer service. We spoke with Anthony who explained to us that we would need to unlock his device before his old number could be ported. He then handed us off to Nina who immediately attempted to port the number. She canceled his line with att, immediately charging $549.00 to his bill without any authorization on his end, cancelled the service he had with them, and prolonged the experience of getting the unlock code by months. We came in the next day looking for a resolution after receiving no help from att and were told by Paola to go to one of those shops where they unlock phones for like fifty bucks - sending us on another errand and spending more money. Why the fuck would a phone store send us somewhere else when we have questions about a phone? We went to att and then returned, this time asking to speak with a manager. Max began helping us and said the best he could do was to give us a loaner phone that we would have to return once we got the unlock code - dedicating more time and errands to the mistake an employee of his made. Later it became clear that he is only the assistant manager and the real manager was off duty, but here working in his pajamas. I understand that mistakes happen and the difference between good and bad customer service is the willingness to make it right. We are now left paying the $549.00 att is charging us due to T-Mobile's mistake for a phone that won't work for months. Honestly this whole experience makes me want to pray and attend church more because this cell phone purgatory is a glimpse into hell. read more
