AVOID this location. Andy K. who runs the store is a scammer. I went in and bought a phone for my…read moreson and had it activated. I specified I wanted the $35 plan multiple times after he told me I couldn't do the $25 plan. The next day when I logged into the account to set up auto pay I noticed a few things. The amount due for the next bill was $36.67 which was odd because I know that boost plans are flat fees for individual lines and already include tax. Next, I noticed I was enrolled in the $50 plan. I called the store immediately and spoke to someone else who informed me that I was part of a family plan. A family plan? This asshole put my son on someone else's family plan without my consent or knowledge. Who the fuck does this? There were red flags and I should've walked out without buying: *He told me there was a $10 activation fee which is a lie because new phones have free activation with the pins on the box. *I inquired about the $25 plan and he said that was only for bring your own phone but on the boost website it says its for new customers. *He told me the phone I was buying came with a free phone but only if I activated them both that day (I believe he kept the free phone for himself) *He told me the receipt looks funny but don't worry about it because he had to ring it up that way for the price to come out right? This was a phone for my son (a minor and Andy knew this) and the primary account holder for the family plan (whoever that is) would've had access to my child's account information. Everyone should check their Boost account if your on an individual plan and you went to this location and make sure your being charged a flat fee w/ no change if that makes sense. It should be $35, $50, $60 etc with no change/cents like I was seeing when going into my sons account $36.67. Save yourself sometime and headache and just avoid this location unless you want to become the new member of god knows who's family.

I *LOVE* this store manager (I'm talking about the tall Asian guy)- and not just because he's…read morehandsome! First of all, I'm not a techie, I am always scraping for cash, and searching for a new phone is as stressful as shopping for any other long-term purchase. I have been to this store three times. The first two times, my phone was cracked, but working. The manager was always quick to suggest upgrades and deals. Well, I finally put that poor phone through the wash (along with a $160 winning lottery ticket)- super sad, but that's what happens when you're a spastic mess. A friend blessed me with $120. for food and a phone. I went there with my predicament and, while he was training a new gal (with a fabulous manicure), he took over an HOUR to address my concerns and laid out the phones by order of features important to me and told me about why I might prefer one over the other. Now, I *have* been in there twice before and he was polite yet not overly friendly- but I work in entertainment where people run "hot and cold" all the time. This third time, not only was he very friendly and understanding, I was there long enough to step back and watch him interact with several others walking in with their phones to pay bills and ask questions. Most of them he knew by name and greeted them upon the door opening. He spoke Spanish to those who spoke Spanish, and remembered their previous issues and asked about them. One guy wanted to switch plans and he *very clearly* advised the man that if he did switch plans, he could never go back to the old one- which let me know he was not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes; he wanted the customer to know the real deal and that's worth a lot! Having been a Secret Shopper, this manager is a dream come true for business owners AND customers. I ended up spending $100. for the phone, a case and got the extra insurance because the new LG seems flimsy and I'm definitely a "dropper". The Western/Lawrence location isn't closest to me but this guy won my loyalty because of his knowledge and the care he took without any abrasiveness. Frankly, if you think the guy is rude (like I've read on a yelp review) you're just catching him in a "curt" moment and he's probably doing ten things at a time (or you're being abrasive and he's protecting himself). He knows ALL of the details of Boost Mobile deals, accessories and the phones inside and out and I'm VERY thankful for it! Give them a go and you'll be glad you did. :)
