Returns are immediately to your left upon entering and have been fast and easy for us. They also have a small cafe with seating and a Starbucks in case you need to fuel up before shopping. We left with an Icee today and it made me so happy! Always well stocked and easy to maneuver. Download the Target app and shop at the store with it. I find digital coupons and at times, better pricing that can be matched. Plenty of cashiers and self service kiosks.

Target is Target is Target…read more For the most part Target is copy/paste no matter where you go. That being said, of the 3 that we visit regularly, this has got to be the busiest. Granted, it's in an enormous retail megalopolis so foot traffic is going to make that happen. On a recent Saturday we were in the area doing some other shopping and Target was our destination. To be honest, after having been to 5 or 6 other retail outlets Jim was about wiped out. Into Target we went anyway. My sole complaint about this location is the parking/entry situation. The store is basically on the corner and right by the entrance from the street into what I'm suddenly going to call the Parking Village, so it can be a challenge for both the driver and for pedestrians. Keep your eyes open, people, and stay off your phone when you're driving in this area. For being inside the Christmas shopping season (Let's face it, it starts November 1 any more) the store, while busy, wasn't crowded. After stops at a few departments for some Targeted (see what I did there?) items (Brand New ABBA CD? Yes, please, and thank you!) we decided to browse a bit. I was glad that Christmas wasn't out in full force. It had a presence, but we weren't in full-hype Christmas mode. Thanks for not rushing it. Most of the shelves were well stocked and there was no clutter of pallets in any of the aisles (like some other retail establishments.) Paper products could have been replenished but for the most part things were in great shape. This is one of the few retail places I've been to recently where I didn't have to send out a search party for someone to give me assistance locating something. I looked around a corner and there was a young lady there who knew exactly where the self-sealing stem bolts were located. I'm still on the fence about the updated snack bar/Starbucks arrangement in some Target locations. I mean, it's cool and much more self-sufficient, but at the same time I was pretty used to the way things used to be. But we move forward, not backward. Thanks for tuning in. I appreciate your patronage.

meijer, Meijer, MEIJER…read more I love you, Meijer, but there are times when I despise you. My history with Meijer goes back well over 30 years, having grown up in Michigan.  Before Walmart had 24 hour stores, there was Meijer, who opened 24 hours long before Walmart ever started. And then I worked for Create-A-Card (if you remember them), which had personalized card printing in, literally, every single Meijer location.  At the time I worked for Create-A-Card there were less than 50 stores.  Meijer and I go a LONG way back. So as far as big-box, full-retail stores go, it's always my go-to.   Groceries?  Check Sweat pants? Check Aquarium filters?  Check Windshield solvent?  Check Sharpies?  Check Self-Sealing Stem Bolts? Check ..and the list goes on. The staff at Meijer is usually very helpful (if a bit hard to find), and there's never a team member sitting around doing nothing.  People who work at Meijer usually have a great work ethic and I don't know that I've ever felt like I was bothering anyone when I would ask them where I could find self-sealing stem bolts. Likewise the store is usually pretty clean.  Not like Walmart, where it usually feels like you're walking into a friend's house, but that friend has 6 or 7 kids under the age of 7 and none of them cleans up after themselves or puts their toys away.  They often tend to keep the produce area pretty tidy, which is a challenge because of...produce. This location does a great job of keeping shelves stocked and tidy. They also don't clutter the aisles with pallets very often. I have one complaint.  One, single complaint about Meijer, and that is checking out.   As much as they would rather you use manual checkout, some people (like myself) would rather eschew the impersonal and actually have an interaction with a live human being. I hate and I loathe and I despise self checkout.   It's impersonal. The amount of time between "beep" and "place the item in the bagging area" is just about the shortest measure amount of time In The World. Produce is such a pain in the ass to scan at the self checkout Self checkout talks AT you, not with you. The Absolut worst thing you can try to check out with is alcohol. (see what I did there?) In general, I hate self checkout. As a result, I prefer checking out with a p-e-r-s-o-n, which leads me to my complaint (my self-checkout diatribe wasn't a complaint, it was more of a rant):  Meijer is *terrible* at opening up additional checkout lanes.  I mean, 4 to 6 people waiting in 4 or more checkout lanes, carts 2/3 full or more, and they don't open additional registers.  They'd rather have people wait in line for 15 or more minutes to check out than they would call up additional staff to get people cashed out. This, to me, is Meijer's biggest failure...and it honestly didn't start until self checkout got big.  We used to shop at Meijer every Sunday and would always go to the same cashier because your build up a rapport with them and it makes the process a little nicer than listening to a machine yell at you because it took 2.387 milliseconds too long to put that frozen burrito in the bagging area.

For my guys the jeans, tees and hoodies are popular. We've gotten a few dressier shirts with fun designs but I don't think they've held up as well. I find luck with tees and tanks, sometimes an occasional top that's more business casual. It's hard for me to find jeans or pants there. My size and petite options are rare to find. There's always a sale or clearance items to catch. Old Navy finds will last you a season or two, but are priced fairly for that.

Y'all. I love Old Navy. I adore it…read more Cute, affordable clothing of decent quality. I have to admit, I do most of my shopping online when I notice a good sale or really need something. Avoiding even visiting the physical store is better for keeping me with my monthly budget and stops me from overspending. But recently we found ourselves early to a movie showing at Tinseltown and having a little bit of money to burn and a deep desire for a new dress...I told the fella we were going to kill some time at Old Navy before the show. The store is clean and organized, has good sales and prices. The staff is friendly and we were approached to be asked if we needed help, but then were left to our own devices when I declined. My only complaint would be about the fitting rooms. They have several rooms available in the middle of the store. And this is the first one I have visited in quite sometime that didn't have an attendant to keep an eye on things/keep it organized and moving along. The clothing return was a bit haphazard and messy, but I was able to try on my clothes, make some decisions (I will be back for you, lovely jacket!) and get in line and pay all fairly quickly. It was a busy day, with the sale and all, but the line moved steadily and the cashier who checked me out was friendly and upbeat. It is almost spring, which mans it is almost dresses-all-the-time weather...so I will absolutely be back to Old Navy in the near future!

Two of the things that stand out for me at this location: 1)  The newly renovated Starbucks.  I like that the recent renovation that took out the old, staid Target snack bar to make it more of a grab-and-go kind of situation with a few tables, and the Starbucks is the star of that show. #AboutFreakingTime B) The service desk isn't as chaotic as some other Target service desks.  I like the fact that there are individual kiosks instead of a long-ass counter. Shopping at this location is pretty easy and, for the most part, things are the same as in most other locations.   If I'm looking for fabricated half-inch pipe I know where to look because I know where the fabricated half-inch pipe is located in a different store.  (Will someone PLEASE get that movie reference?) The staff is usually attentive and helpful here.  I'm the most impressed when I visit electronics.  I was recently looking for a new sound bar and had a few questions about options on some of the models.  I spoke to two different team members and they were both very knowledgeable and helpful.
