Ensure to plan accordingly as parking gets full, restaurants get packed so waits can get long, and parking lot can get dangerous with people walking without looking and drivers racing in and out without looking.

Parking can be found at meters as well as a paid lot (use the mobile app). There's also street parking that is walking distance to the Marketplace. Minus Hazel & Hunt and the Craftery, the Marketplace has primarily become a spot for restaurants - but shopping can be found right outside the space. Dog friendly area and plenty of families during the daytime hours. Construction underway with more retail space planned.

Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to spend an afternoon or evening. I love the Craftery concept where you can drink and craft a number of different items. Check it out. Parking available in the back off Main street and street parking all along Market. Be sure and explore all the way from Main to Market streets and then all up and down Market for several blocks there are additional shops, restaurants, hotels and bars. A fun festive spot to enjoy on a date, with friends or cruising by yourself.

Norton Commons has become an oasis of local shopping in northeast Louisville…read more So when I was up in the neighborhood this weekend, I had to check out their newest local shopping option: the Norton Commons North Village Market. This is a brand new open-air market that features a patio and six small white retail cottages. "Adorbs" is the word that comes to mind. Each cottage contains a few racks outside its doors and then maybe 100 square feet (I may be way off on that; I'm not good at estimating space) inside, with some displays and a register. Three businesses have set up temporary shop in the cottages so far: BLU Boutique, Rabbit in the Moon and Spark Boutique. And three cottages are not occupied, but hopefully they will be soon. So I took at opportunity to check out the three shops. All three had a mix of accessories, clothes and decor items. I particularly loved Rabbit in the Moon and found it hard to choose between buying a baby boy onesie for the baby-to-be or a kimono-type wrap for me. And I chose the kimono. (There will be many more onesies in the future, I'm sure.) The prices were a bit on the more expensive side, though there were some more reasonably priced items mixed in. And this market area has a patio and stage -- a promise of all the fun events to come in this space. From the fliers I saw around the space, it looks like they're starting with "Food Trucks & Farmer Fridays," with (as you can probably guess) food trucks and a small farmers market. It is also close to the amphitheater. The market is a bit on the outskirts of Norton Commons, but if the neighborhood's earlier growth is any indication, it will likely be surrounded by homes very soon. So if you find yourself out in Norton Commons, drive to Moonseed Street and check out the small white cottages.

The "houses" are actually cool and people can rent the space for regular selling. But most people were on the border at tables selling their items. Compared to other farmers markets this one is small and offers very little food. A couple of stands offered fruits and veggies, some pumpkins for the season, but only one was cooking food to buy. I didn't spot any meats for sale. One truck was selling flowers (which were gorgeous). Perhaps a pit stop if you're in the area but not yet a destination spot.

As a mature (at least in age) woman, I know that I can find age appropriate clothing here which is of the highest quality and stylish as well. The accessories are fabulous.
