I am not sure how this became a business because it seems to be more of a shopping outlet or outdoor strip mall than an actual business; however, I was able to see a bit more than usual because I had to wait on a Shake Shack order. When I was walking around today from like 9:30 -10:30 a.m. to burn time, I have to state that this location was what most other posters and what the actual website states. It is supposed to be an upscale area that has hotels, shops, restaurants, etc. in one area. Apartments rent for $1500+ a month and hotel rooms go for $150+ a night. Weirdly enough, something so upscale still has issues that the rest of Lexington has. The streets are not symmetrical, there is a sidewalk on one side in some areas, there are one way streets that are mixed in with areas with two way streets, etc. It is more a mess of a design. The good aspects though is that everything looks like it could be on a movie set or a theme park like Disneyland (Main Street, USA). I highly doubt they go to an extreme extent of imagineering with the buildings (the whole optical illusion and making a building look taller by making things smaller on higher levels than on lower levels); however, it is unique. Did Lexington ever think of doing this for every major roadway connecting to Man O' War? This is located near the intersection of Nicholasville Rd. and Man O' War. What about Harrodsburg Rd. and Man O' War Rd., Tates Creek Rd. and Man O' War Rd., and Richmond Rd. and Man O' War Rd.? Just an idea. read more

Very long wait times. Very long lines. Something to think about it the weather also. And outside temperatures because your line will start inside and be moving around into the outside. And sometimes the line will take you into the hot sunshine. Wear clothes that are comfortable and dress for the weather. But this is a great place. And very pretty views. If you need a day to shop, eat, and attend to your personal needs, the Summit at Fritz's Farm is the perfect place to go! They have a wide variety of all those things. When I go, I typically visit Lush, Kendra Scott, Starbucks, Brandy Melville, Lululemon, and the Nail Salon. The summit offers a high-end and not so high-end business. That is what I enjoy the most. They also have a hotel you can stay in as well if you live a good distance from it. Let's say you had a long day of shopping there and needed a place to rest or eat, they have outside seating areas you can enjoy and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The summit is one of my favorite places to go when I need something to do by myself or with people. I highly recommend visiting here, you will not regret it. read more

The Summit is like the outdoor, boujee friend of the Fayette Mall. I'm not sure how long this area has been around for, but everything looks brand spankin' new. Most of what you will find are higher end chain stores, along with some restaurants and little boutiques. Whole Foods is also next door if you need to get some grocery shopping in. Walking through this shopping center is so refreshing, as everything is so clean and well kept. There's also ample parking all around the area. As far as stores go, you will find shops like Free People, Madewell, Kendra Scott, Vineyard Vines, etc. Restaurants include Blaze Pizza, World of Beer, J. Alexanders and a few more. This is a nice little outlet mall, but definitely caters to a certain demographic of shoppers. Luckily all of the malls are super close to one another! read more

I go back and forth between wanting to love and wanting to hate this place. The anti-consumerist side of me hates all the overpriced stores in this area. But the consumerist side of me absolutely adores the shops that are here and occasionally spends money at some of them. Overall, a pretty snazzy place to walk around, window-shop, empty your wallet, and eat some delicious foods. Some of the stores you can find here include: LUSH, Water & Oak, Free People, Madewell, Kentucky for Kentucky, Sugarboo & Co., Pottery Barn, Warby Parker, and more. The Barn [kind of like a food court area] has some great dining options including Crank & Boom, Smithtown Seafood, and Athenian Grill. We also enjoy getting popsicles at Steel City Pops, playing cornhole, and exploring the little farm play area in the middle of The Summit. I love that it's not exactly a mall since it's all outdoor walking, but the shops are still indoors (obviously). It's a good mix if you want to shop and get some fresh air. There isn't anywhere else in Lexington (or nearby in Kentucky) that has the experience of this collection of stores and restaurants/bars. I never have an issue with parking, but I can see how you may have to park a bit far away from your destination; just be ready to enjoy window-shopping on a walk. Get some exercise! There are usually two different kinds of shoppers. Those who like to outlet mall shop and those who like upscale ritzy shopping. This place is more of the ritzy shopping. I'm somewhere in the middle and this place is perfect. When I'm in the mood to window shop, and when I'm in the mood to splurge, this place is perfect. There's more to shopping here though. There are a ton of restaurants, including The Barn, which is a food hall of sorts. Not to be confused with a food court that you find at a mall though. The Barn even has a bar, the Whiskey Bear. Oh, there is also a distillery in The Summit. Just some of my favorite restaurants in The Summit are J. Alexander, Blue Sushi, Texas Brazilian Steakhouse, and World Of Beers. People often complain about parking, but I never have an issue. I always find parking out front of whichever destination of my plan. If my plan is Teds or any of the shops located on the back side of The Summit, I park in the parking lot close to Teds. This place is literally like no other, it's especially unlike any place you'd find anywhere else in Kentucky. It's literally something you'd expect to find in large cities, Vegas, LA, or NYC. It's definitely a place to be proud of and a place I'd recommend checking out even if you're in town for a few days. read more

The Summit at Fritz Farm is awesome! I love visiting Lexington and shopping at The Summit! I so wish it would have been in Lexington when I lived there, but I'm happy I still get to visit and check it out now. There are so many great spots to shop and eat in The Summit! It includes over 70 shops and more than 20 dining options. Some of my favorites include Draper James, Fabletics, Kendra Scott Jewelry, Kentucky for Kentucky, Shake Shack, Pasture by Marksbury Farm, and Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream. There's so much more! And I love so much of it! But, these are just a few that I hit up again and again. Full disclosure, I'm pretty jelly that Lexington got these spots before Louisville! C'mon! I want a Draper James, Fabletics, and Shake Shack in Louisville! But, for now, I'm happy to drive to Lexington for them. I just thought this place was wonderful. Cute trendy shops and loved the Whole Foods store. Everything was clean and new. I was visiting from Ohio and shop in Pittsburgh so I did not feel the prices were to high. My husband and I will definitely come back next time we are in Lexington. read more

There's no denying they have beautiful cookware, tableware, some nice food items, and cookbooks, but they are very, very expensive. Most can be purchased elsewhere for much less, and you would well to shop around. Having their name on an item won't enhance your cooking skills. They have cooking classes, but I can't speak for them as I've never been. read more

I really like the layout of the Summit and parking is usually easy. I was so sad when the Barn (it was a food hall of local restaurants) closed since it was the only local spot other than Honeywood and gave the Summit something distinctly Lexington. Now, it is essentially all generic chain stores, so there isn't really anything you can get here but not anywhere else, but I do like that it is set up for wandering outside, the mini playground area is a fun place for my kids to enjoy their Steel City Pops, the Starbucks here is easily my favorite in town, and I like Whole Foods. While I would love for local businesses to have a place here, it is a nice area for shopping or enjoying a drink or snack. read more

I have enjoyed The Summit at Fritz Farm on many many occasions and it's a young, "hip" manufactured environment designed to drive commerce. The clothing stores are for thin customers, the food in many of the restaurants is not much to talk about and the consistency is missing. If you have money to blow you can find some exceptional cocktails or shop at high end stores like William Sonoma. So it's ok for a weekend visit, but it's not a place I would spend a lot of time. read more

A wonderful upscale shopping experience. The majority of shops are unique. My personal favorite is Bonobos, a men's clothing store for great shirts and suits. The Summit also has many other stores for women, men and home furnishings. It's great to see a place like this thrive in Lexington. Also, their restaurant options are terrific. From BBQ to fine dining, you can find it all here. Also, I love the fountain and green area. They typically throw community events here. The walls of Warby Parker make for great photo backdrops :) Overall, a great place to take friends visiting or have a family outing. read more

Nothing really special or unique. Just another mall. A missed opportunity. A good place to spend an evening with friends offers a variety of food choices if you find yourself in this part of the town and want to stay put and hate waking. Beautifully designed store fronts, cafes and restaurants offering a seating outside create a cozy atmosphere. I live a couple neighborhoods away, but we dont visit as often as I expected when the place was constructed. It's somewhat of a disappointment. No matter what you up to, the space is inconvenient for the visitor. You'll find yourself crossing too many roads, trying to avoid too many cars looking for parking, you wouldn't be able to just walk and enjoy what the businesses have to offer. What is obvious from the first look at the Summit is the desire of the builder to fit absolutely everything into a limited space. There are shops, restaurants, residential area (why? oh why?), and roads, cars, and more roads and cars around the corner too. Jack of all trades master of none Summit has a shortage of parking space, with quite a few spaces constantly blocked out (residents are complaining about parking huh?), you'll find yourself looking left and right all the time trying to avoid the cars zipping through the walking areas. The fireplace in the middle of the plaza has a seating for 8. Once again, it's tiny, and just inconvenient because located between 2 traffic roads. A fountain could be a nice focal point, but one cant spend any time around it because, yes you guessed it, traffic is on both sides, again. A large multilevel parking like it's been done since last century would've saved a lot of space, separated the traffic from the shoppers and pulled the concept of a vibrant and modern place together. A missed opportunity for Lexington, considering it was a blank slate before and there were so little constraints to making it awesome. read more

The Summit is my fav place to shop, browse, hangout and eat! Everything is so inviting... even the wide sidewalks! I can usually walk into any of the stores and find what I'm looking for. Of course I have my faves like Vineyard Vines, Draper James, Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn but I enjoy a lot of the stores and the restaurants.... well the restaurants...needless to say Mama's little piggy is right at home! I went today not realizing they don't open until 10 am which was fine because Starbucks and Whole Foods was open. We've been once before but it was on a cold and rainy night. So walking around wasn't really an option. The layout is similar to Hamburg Pavilion in terms of having to walk in and out of each store in an outdoor setting. While it's not as large there was ample space to walk and window shop. It was quiet and we saw a few people walking around. You really don't hear the traffic from Nicholasville road once you're in the development. Having said that as this review is for the development not the stores I went into. I will say this nevertheless if you're going to hype it up as it was before it opened as an upscale shopping center then perhaps the customer service should match the hype. Sad to say not all the stores have amazing customer service in this development. read more

If you have a lot of disposable income that you want to spend on stuff that is mostly a waste of money, then this is the place. If you are on a budget or easily get outraged about a world where 1% of the people have much more of the wealth than they should have - well then go to Target instead. read more

A cute shopping area with a nice variety of shops and restaurants. Restaurants range from sushi to burgers to desserts, among others. Most of the stores tend to be on the pricy side, good quality but expensive. This place is especially nice in the summer time as there are no enclosed walkways. They have a lot of events here (they just had a fun Fall festival). A fun place to window shop and grab a bite to eat. read more

This is an exciting new addition to Lexington! Not all of the stores are open yet, but there is a good selection up and running. Prices are a bit high, but hey, this is an upscale shopping center, so it's to be expected. There are quite a few new restaurants, though I've yet to try anything but Shake Shack (which is great). There's a Warby Parker, which is a great affordable, budget, and trendy glasses store. There are a lot of nice clothing stores- most with more southern style. And home goods of course. There's a lot to explore here, and more to come! It's brought a lot of new businesses to town and is a lot of fun to come hang out. read more

Ok. I'm not rich enough to make The Summit a daily visit, but some of my favorite stores are here and I like to splurge on occasion. The Barn is amazing. If you're a man, you'll find a number of stores that are tailored specifically to you- which is very rare in Lexington! Also the food situation here is very good including a Shake Shack. If you ever want to spend a day in Lexington and not go to the mall this is the place to go. There are so many places that I still have yet to visit and I've been a couple times just to walk around. The only complaint I have is the parking lot they have has a little bit of a low clearance so if you drive a truck or any big vehicle you will have a tough time finding parking in the busier part of the day. read more

There are a lot of shops, but most are high end, so it's not a practical selection if you aren't going for something from a specific brand, like Lush, or if you aren't trying to spend a ton of money. The fire pit and corn hole yards are very charming, and the Whole Foods is awesome. Definitely a nice place to spend a few hours grabbing a meal and walking around. Just wish they had a few more places to shop that weren't so specific, but the food options are fantastic! Parking however is a nightmare at times. read more

I visited during the day, but it looked as if it had a good night life scene that I'd love to come back and check out. Adorable apartments above the shops.
